To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally request an immediate escalation and a call from the district manager responsible for the Lowe's Brokaw store regarding an ongoing, unresolved kitchen project and three mis‑scoped appliances. After a flood in our home, we began a kitchen project with the Brokaw store. From the start, the experience has been extremely frustrating. There were incorrect measurements, incorrect scoping, delayed installation, and months later our kitchen is still not completed. Despite our repeated attempts to move the project forward, we have not received timely, coordinated support. In addition, three appliances were incorrectly scoped and sold to us as part of this project. We have tried several times to return these appliances through the store, but we have been repeatedly given conflicting information and "the runaround." Customer service is one of the qualities I value the most about a business. I have always experienced exception service at this Lowe's. Whenever we've come in to look for something, I have had no problem finding an employee to help me. They are very willing to walk you through this huge warehouse to find exactly what you're looking for and are knowledgeable to recommend solutions if you are not sure what you need. Usually you see them chit -chat among themselves and I was help without asking, but needed to buy some adhesive materials and politely directed me where it was at. Wasn't too crowded on a Sunday morning and able to buy car wax and glass cleaner and they even have a self-service automated key machine from house keys to car/FOB cheaper than at a dealership usually cost an arm and a leg or two. Went to Lowe's to look for rope. I really like their selection of both poly-synthetic and natural rope. Getting the rope I needed was simple. They have bundles or cut-to-length methods. I don't usually leave reviews, but I had a disappointing experience at Lowes on Brokaw An employee named Jarvis was unprofessional and unhelpful when I asked for assistance locating an item. Instead of offering help she simply looked at me and directed another employee to assist me, despite appearing to be available at the time. As a customer expect courteous and attentive service, and unfortunately, this interaction fell short of that expectation. There are barely any employees in this store, and we waited over an hour for someone to cut a small length of vinyl flooring for us that the website said was in stock. It wasn't on the rolls, and there was no flooring dept. employee on duty. We went to customer service twice, and they said they would get someone. When they finally did, the person said they didn't have the flooring but would check to see if it might be still be in receiving. He disappeared, and much later two other employees wheeled out a roll of green Astroturf (not what we asked for). The whole experience has been a waste of time. Worker giving wrong information just to get me off their back. Came here looking for moving boxes. I saw medium boxes on display so I asked a worker if there are small ones. Worker just said "this is all we have." I was confused thinking they sold out of small, extra large, boxes? So I bought a bunch of medium boxes. Well, I visited again and isle 5 had all different size boxes and MANY. Please, why is it so hard for people to just say they don't know something instead of providing the wrong information. I purchased a bathroom vanity with Lowe's gift cards and a credit card. The item arrived damaged, so I returned it. My credit card was refunded, but not the Gift Cards, and it's been almost a month. I went to three Lowe's stores to learn when the gift cards I would be refunded would be issued and was told new gift cards would be mailed to me, but no one knew when. One star is generous for this store! I paid for a dishwasher with a cashier's check and cancelled the same day. I was told to wait until the check cleared and a blue refund card would be issued, then come back to the store to have it cashed. Both Lowe's customer Care told me this and Chow the asst mgr.at the Sunnyvale Store. When I presented the card they refused to give me back my refund. When I called Lowe's Customer care they said it had been handled at the store level. This was the case every number I called. Interestingly the card was issued by Lowe's Customer Care! I used Lowe's for a custom cabinet installation - big mistake! The entire process was absolutely horrible. The communication is highly inefficient, terrible customer service, Lowe's is disorganized, they don't stand behind their contracts, the Lowe's employees don't know what they are doing, etc. I could go on and on with all the Lowe's fails. Do not use the cabinet installation service at Lowe's unless you want endless headaches, delays, and incorrect product being delivered. My project was completed almost a month ago and I just recently got a notification about additional product that had been shipped to a store for pickup for some reason - Lowe's has no idea how to manage an installation project. Seriously - do anything but the Lowe's installation services. The one bright spot- the contractors who actually showed up to do the installation did a fine job. I bought a GE stove top range and they delivered it and it didn't work so they took it back and I bought a new one, different brand and I got it and it works fine, but they charged me for TWO stoves and they have not reimbursed me for the stove that was returned. Another stop at another Lowe's ( can't get enough of them already :) ) to pickup a few angled brackets ( order placed ahead of time). Good enough parking lot to address your car parking queries. Checked in for the pickup and in a few minutes got to the counter where I realized that the pickup was ready inside the locker and all I had to do was dial in the code that was emailed to me. Also ended up going around this store to get a few screws and anchors and Alexis was an absolutely amazing help in finding me the right option for my project ( Big shoutout to him) . The store definitely has great hardware , electrical , electronics etc collection and it would hard to not find something amongst these categories in there. Right before exiting it came to my mind to get a couple of copies for a key that I had and this was waiting for quite a bit. Diana was kind enough to guide me through the process and within a couple of minutes or so I was ready to head out of the store with all of my purchases. Do NOT purchase ARTIFICIAL TURF from Lowe's. It will never arrive. Your contractor will be sitting waiting for a date when they can install it you'll be upset. They'll change the delivery date over and over and over hang onto your money until you actually cancel the product due to never being delivered and be so dissatisfied you'll never want to shop there again. If you call and ask to speak to the supervisor or manager, they will never call you back. You'll have to call the corporate office and they won't care either. I'll never shop here again. They're terrible.. the GM will even hang up on you without even saying hello without even speaking with you because they're all a bunch of pansies that don't know how to give customer service.. I do have to say the day-to-day employees inside the store are nice, but after you purchase something, the sales people nor the management care. We come to Lowe's often for fixes, replacements, appliances and cleaning supplies and always find everyone to be kind and helpful. Today we came to replace a light bulb and couldn't find a matching one after looking for a long time. My husband finally went to ask Zachary who told us this type was discontinued and any floodlight would work. He was dismissive and not interested in walking one aisle away and helping. So we looked for 10 minutes longer trying to find one. Then I went back to ask Zachary for help since he was so close. He said I already told someone any floodlight. I said yes but there are a lot of different lumen amounts and since ours is in watts, we're not sure which one would work. He again said any floodlight and dismissed me. I said wow thanks for your help. Then we walked to the front of the store and a lady called someone to our aisle. A nice patient many named Bernie came and helped us. He spent time helping us find one that matched. It's not that easy to match apparently but he spent the time helping us find it. Compliment to Bernie. Not sure why employees like Zachary work for Lowe's if they're not interested in helping. IMHO I found two small gazania plants in the plant clearance section, originally priced at $2.98, with a red slash through the price. The clearance price was $2. The nice nursery cashier scanned the full price and failed to discount the plants. It was my fault that I wasn't paying attention. As I'm walking to my car, I realized that I was not given the clearance price. I went back to the cashier, and he said he couldn't do the return/exchange at his register and told me to go inside to the return counter. The young lady at returns said she had to wait for this special register to be available in order to process the transaction and give me back the difference. Okay. After a waiting a little while, I spoke up and asked the young lady if she couldn't just do a simple return on her register, and then re-ring me up at the discounted price. She promptly did exactly that. (I don't know why she didn't think to do that in the first place.) However, it all worked out, and I left with my plants. The cashiers were nice and friendly, but I do feel that management needs to spend more time training them on all POS transactions. Value: My wife and I signed up for Lowes credit card which in turn gave us generous discounts on our orders which was a substantial order. Delivery: on time delivery so we didn't have to wait long. We had two deliveries one at 8am and the other at noon on Labor Day. The only problem was our morning delivery was short 10 unit of redwood decking. The driver acknowledged the shortage took pictures and said he would notify Lowes. My wife wrote a note on the delivery and the driver took a photo of it. So now we wait for a response from Lowes on how and when they will handle our shortage. We are hoping to get the shortage asap because our contractor will start working tomorrow September 2nd. read more

It's been a while since I shopped here. I used to go fairly regularly when I worked near this location. It was a good clean Lowe's with the usual merchandise found at big box home improvement stores. Staff was usually a bit sparse so I did not interact with them much, but it was nothing remarkable. Years later I have had a few occasions where I tried to order items online to be picked up at this store. This is where the problems start. I have now had 3 different orders where I see an item offered as showing in stock at this store, order the items, get confirmation codes of the order being accepted, then get notices that the items are not in stock and I should pick a replacement. This is about Lowes online business practices. I ordered a lawnmower on 9/12 and received an acknowledgement along with assurances that I would be updated every step of the way. Then nothing...I contacted customer service on 9/17 and yes they had my order and when they tried to contact the seller/ shipper they could not. But they did tell me that it was being delivered that day. Great! Didn't happen. The next day at noon I again contacted customer service and again they were unable to contact the shipper. They apologized and that was that. By Friday afternoon still nothing so I again called Lowe's customer service requesting a cancelation. I was told that I couldn't cancel because the shipper had acknowledged the order already. What??? I politely informed the representative that I would dispute the transaction and we said our goodbyes. But when I went to dispute the charges I saw that Lowe's had already issued a refund. Thanks for not making me go through the hassle. read more

You get email reminders every other day to pick up your order and it needs to be picked up by the seventh day or else your order is cancelled. Due to my schedule, I had to pick up my order on the seventh day. After you enter the store, the order pickup is on the left. The worker scan the bar code on my order pickup email and retrieved my order. She verified my ID and I was out the door. A few employees and managers here are amazing. Knowledgeable, friendly, and detail-oriented. You know who you are. The rest are simply awful. They don't pick up the phone, they don't follow up, they make up a bunch of nonsense when you ask them a question they don't know the answer to rather than simply say they don't know. They're not just physically lazy, but intellectually lazy. They don't use their brains to solve your issues and waste everyone's time, including their own! I live ten minutes away and I've called, driven there while on hold, and gotten someone to assist me in person before someone picked up the phone. It's infuriating and just an appalling way to be treated as a customer who has spent thousands of dollars there. On top of this, when you order a large appliance or a big item that comes from a third party or offsite warehouse, good luck getting a hold of anyone who will actually help you and follow through on making sure things are resolved if something goes wrong. I am compelled to leave a review after so many bad experiences with this store. I have now experience three separate pickup orders with issues. The first time was a Kobalt 24v 4ah battery last year (2023), although the item was new the date code was 2019. How can they sell a battery that has been sitting on the shelf for 4 years! The second time also last year I ordered a Kobalt multitool. The packing was obviously opened so it must have been a returned item. The safety switch did not work. How can they sell it as new?! The third time is this December. Ordered what is supposed to be a new Kobalt impact driver bit set. Got a package that was obviously opened and poorly taped back. The case inside can be seen damaged. How can an employee in good conscience pick that and hand it to customers a new item?! Promptly returned and will not shop here ever again. I gave them the benefit if the doubt in the past but this is obviously their modus operandi. Ordered a garage door opener for curbside pickup at Lowe's San Jose. A worker brought out two small, taped-together boxes with no top--clearly too small for a motor and rail. When I questioned it, he wasn't sure but claimed a new shipment would arrive tomorrow and to come back in the afternoon. I went home empty handed and returned the next day. I accompanied a pickup desk worker to the garage door section, where he confirmed no stock. Then they had me wait at the pickup desk for an hour just for another worker to tell me no stock. The whole point of curbside pickup is to get in and get out and save some time. Instead I had to go there twice, get lied to, and waste my day there and with customer service. Whoever pulled the item should have used some common sense and just canceled the order from the beginning. read more
