The owner is particularly knowledgeable and has been very helpful when searching for the right product for each job. I have always preferred to use Benjamin Moore paints, but also appreciate being able to get qualified advice from an experienced professional. This is something just that can't be found at the big box stores. About two years ago I refinished my kitchen cabinets and painted my home's exterior. The gutters were covered in mildew and the kitchen cabinets had been hastily painted by the prior owner with cheap paint and had numerous finishing defects. The owner advised me on surface prep and recommended excellent products, including a paint that would minimize the need for multiple coats on my exterior. He even custom tinted a recommended primer (which wasn't a Benjamin Moore product, surprisingly) for my cabinets. Two years later, in a home with a young child, both paint jobs still look as good as they did on day one. I highly recommend them and will be buying all of my paints here.

They sell paint and wallpaper and the supplies to work with paint and wallpaper. That's it. So, they know a lot about it. We have walls with oil paint on them. A basement with brick. Our exterior is painted. Everything we talked to them about, they knew the best way to attack it. I have been painting my house (wherever that house may be) for many, many years and I thought I knew it all. But, when I talked to these people, they showed me that there was still much to learn. They "color matched it-" when we said that is not the same color we showed them the sample again they said- it is what it is- put it on the wall to see.. on the can it won't dry the same color as it will on the wall. so we tried it... now we have to repaint the whole wall and likely room.. when we showed the people at ace they said- yeah we don't always get good results. Need us to make you a gallon so you can do the full room? I feel like this was a bit of a scam to sell me more paint.. but the people there are so nice I cant imagine then doing that. I am disappointed in how they knew the color was not right and didn't try to do fix it. I would Not use thrm for paint again.

But really, how could you not? The name of this place is Menards! Anyway, I visited this Menards, thinking, "Me nards! Me nards!" over and over in my head as I went in search of some indoor plants. But what do you know: They must not have indoor plants in late fall, because I could find nary a one. They didn't even have any outdoor plants. Apparently, Menards is not the place to find plants of any kind when the weather turns cold. So I walked around to see if maybe they were hiding the plants somewhere else, and I came across aisles of pet products, Christmas trees, patio furniture, paint, and lots of other things. Menards seems to be a one-stop-shop for home improvement. Parking is plentiful, and it's easy to get on and off the interstate.

I mostly go to the Fishers store now. I find the staff to be friendly and helpful and there's comraderie among them. I appreciate the family-owned Wisconsin/Northwoods culture and look forward to the weekly ads. I have never had any issues with missing rebates or returns. The website is excellent, it even tells you what aisle and shelf to find an item on. Menards makes shopping fun.

I never thought I'd buy a Weber grill, as I didn't understand why they seemed so expensive. After an Ace salesman showed me some differences and how they stocked all of the parts I may need down the road, I purchased one. That was a bit over a year ago, and I haven't had even the slightest "buyers remorse". Sure, it was a lot more than one of the other brands at a big box store, but wow does it do a great job. The heat is so even, and all of the controls just feel sturdy. On top of that most of the internals are made from stainless steel and should last a LONG time. Ace is a great asset to western Noblesville. As this town has grown, we've gotten all of the big box stores, but with those comes traffic and customer service that is mediocre at best. It's definitely nice to have a locally owned store where I can go pick up the things I need without having to drive across town.

I had the best experience on Thursday of this week. I needed a new pressure switch for my well…read morepump. There was a competitor supply store right around the corner from my house, but they were quoting twice the cost of the switch ($14.25 at central supply). So I drove 30 min to the east side (I live on the west side of Indy) because they had been friendly on the phone and it was half price compared to the other store near me. Once I arrived, I quickly found the parts counter and was somewhat unprepared to order as I was unsure what I needed. I had snapped several photos of my pressure switch/tank to help me. That's when one of the regular plumbers (who was ordering parts also) looked at my pics and totally helped me order all that I needed to do the job. While we waited for our orders to get picked from the warehouse, I continued to learn more about pressure switches from the nice plumber who had ordered my parts for me. The staff and patrons were friendly, and very helpful. I was able to also purchase the wires I needed as well as a new pressure gauge because they have both plumbing and electrical supplies. Total bill : $27.38. Competition : $32.50 for just the pressure switch. I will definitely come back for my next plumbing/electrical needs.
