They charged me an outrageous amount for the paint. Needing another gallon, I went to the Benjamin Moore store in Ridgewood and discovered they charged $10 less per gallon for the exact same product. This isn't just a minor discrepancy--it's a blatant overcharge. To top it off, the Emerson store had the nerve to tack on a $5 fee for using my credit card, something the Ridgewood store doesn't do. This is highway robbery, plain and simple. This store is a total scam, preying on customers with inflated prices and ridiculous fees. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this place like the plague. Go to the Ridgewood store or any other honest Benjamin Moore location instead. I will never set foot in Paint N' Paper-Benjamin Moore in Emerson again, and I strongly urge everyone else to stay far away from this crooked business.

He was extremely rude and lacked basic customer service skills, even humiliating me and questioning my intelligence in front of other customers. In response to my request to get as close a match as possible, he went into hypotheticals, asking what if he's new at the store, implying that I should be responsible for making sure the match is correct. I simply asked him if he'd rather I go some place else. I ended up driving to Sherwin-Williams in Paramus and received a whole lot better treatment and service, along with a really good match to my paint. When I related my experience with them, even they could not believe it. Not sure what's going on with the Ridgewood branch, but that is not a good way to treat your customers if you want your business to succeed.

Steering Clear Of…read more Yesterday purchased 1 quart Benjamin Moore Advance Satin: Ricciardi invoice said retail is $49.99 and Ricciardi sold it to me for the "discounted" price of $35.99. Only problem is, 20 days earlier I had purchased 1 quart of the same exact paint in the same exact color from Eagle Paint in Englewood: Eagle invoice said retail is $34.45 and Eagle sold it to me for discounted price of $30.79. So Ricciardi's "discounted" price more than full retail at Eagle?!? A quick online search of other retailers shows that Ricciardi's bogus retail price is WAY MORE than anywhere else. The beyond, and above phone exchange got me excited to get dressed, and drive over to the store. Customer service is everything when I am shopping. And unbeknownst to me, I was speaking to an amazing store Manager, already she exceeded my expectations over the phone. When I arrived at the store, I ended making a much larger purchase than originally anticipated because the service Royamassa provided was spectacular. Originally was planning to get 2 gallons of paint, but I was so pleased with the hospitality, I bought four gallons of paint, brushes, and more. So that I did not have to wait for the order to get prepared. I was advised that I could go pick up some items at the grocery store, and when I was done, my order would be ready. Arrived back to the store 15 minutes or so later, my order was boxed, packed, and ready to go. Had some questions about brushes, and rollers. The amazing young lady Royamassa, helped me pick out the correct items I needed to paint, for the look, I was seeking. The first time, it was to get a paint sample. They're $8 for a quart, and the employee gave us a discount when we didn't even ask for one. The next time, we were ready to actually buy the paint. Again, they gave us a discount and tips for painting. They told us we would need two but we decided to just get one can first, and it was reallyyyy cutting it close. So just know - if they tell you to get two, they're not just trying to get you to spend extra money. The paint is around the same price as the home improvement stores but the tools (i.e rollers, brushes, etc.) are a bit more expensive. We had already gotten the supplies beforehand, so we didn't need any - but just something to keep in mind. Will definitely come back to this location for our next paint project.
