What do we have here, folks?…read more Drumroll please... A PAINT STORE! Sorry, I attempted to make purchasing paint as exciting as possible, a lofty task indeed. With boredom now top of mind, it poses the question: what do you really want from a paint store? My answer is below. For me, no small talk, no upsell, not too much other than paint on the shelves, that's what I want and that's what I got. After handing over a few paint chips that I peeled from the outside wall of my house, the guys behind the counter were quick to help me out. Before I knew it they had disappeared to the back only to resurface with three gallons of the paint that I needed. In and out, very quickly, very happy. Sherwin-Williams, you have done your part, now let's hope my painter doesn't f#ck the whole job up.

He wasn't the best at his trade but he did know the difference in quality paints. Undoubtedly this brand is the best paint on the market I've tried. Frazee was very good too, now non-existent. (I even went to Standard Brands to buy some of the old Frazee paints till they were gone) So, I'm really satisfied with this paint. Goes on thin but has very good coverage. Usually do 2 coats, then touch ups after. You will spend about $45 bucks a gallon for interior paint but to me worth every penny. I've tried Behr and only like a couple finishes. And not really cheaper and goes on thicker. Which I don't like. That's what they sell at Home Depot. I did have an issue one time where my quart of touch up did not match the original, and showed them photos of the difference on my 3 walls. They gladly gave me a free full gallon off my original color! That right there sold me for life.

What compelled me to write this review is the fact that there was a HANDMADE Christmas tree made from paint swatches/squares and specks of paint on the gallon can I was picking up. Stopped in to Purewood Furniture and selected a solid wood table and chairs, chose custom stain and fabric, and was able to get everything for 1/2 the price of what I had seen at other stores. The finished product was great quality and the stain was perfect. Don and his staff delivered and set everything in place. After a couple weeks we had a little problem opening the table to add the leaf. We called Don because we wanted to make sure nothing was broken, so rather than letting us possibly damage the table, Don said he would come by and check it out that afternoon. Turned out to be nothing but new stain and hinges sticking. He loosened it up and made sure we were happy before he left. I mentioned during that conversation that I was thinking of adding a couple more chairs and that I would come to the store in a few weeks to place the order. Well, several weeks later I stopped in to place the order for the chairs and Don said he knew I was going to get them, so he had already ordered them and had them there ready to stain. Scan it to summon an employee to assist you. It only took about two minutes for an employee to arrive. She unlocked the cage; I grabbed the trimmer and she escorted me to self-checkout.
