Shiekh is a dying chain as the company filed for bankruptcy a few years ago, they're shrinking in size by closing down a lot of their locations, San Diego was no exception, as the location in Plaza Bonita closed and become a VR game store, not they have a smaller one in Chula Vista mall, hiding behind a bunch of restaurants, lucky for them they have a partnership with Sangre Mia by actor Diego Tinoco to attract some customers, but they didn't do very well either with line management nor boosting up the sales, they could have printed out a bunch of Diego pictures and provided them to the people who waited in line, maybe they would get some business traction, instead they have signs posted on the windows, but they refused to give them to anyone, people who came to the meet and greet had to buy stuffs or bring their own items for Diego to sign, not Diego fault, but it is not a good business strategy here, hope you guys improve in the future especially you organized an event during Comic Con. read more

I used to come here all the time when they had their location next to the vans store. They had lots of sneaker styles to choose from. Apparently they now have a bigger location across from that. The store is huge, but there's not a wide selection of sneakers. In the women's section there were maybe 20 styles available and the rest were heels. I asked the young man working there if that was all they had and he said yes and that they don't carry the style I want in women's sizes. I would assume that by them renting out a bigger space, it would mean they would carry more styles, but I guess not. The store is a waste of space and I'm sure they would be way more successful with a wider selection. I left empty handed, but now I know I can just order the shoes online, instead of going to the mall. read more

Today was my second visit to this location in the past few weeks. This first time was a pleasant experience for my son and I. This store has a nice selection. The second visit was quite the contrary. I was met by a staff member who asked if I need any help. I declined. He notified me he would be there to assist. I selected an item at planned to continue to shop. He asked if he could hold it at the register for me. I replied, "I am fine thank you". At this point, he stared at me the entire time up until purchasing a shirt. This was a terrible shopping experience. I am a Registered Nurse, a proud Navy Veteran and a front-line responder. Race should not matter, however it seemed that this treatment was mainly because I am black; As two other people walked in and were left to shop freely. This store is in much need of cultural sensitivity training. read more

They have always had good sales going on every time ive come in. I ended up ordering a pair of shoes in store but I never recieved a call back from them about the shoes. I called them and they told me they had my shoes but they just lost my contact information. They dont really give their advice on how a shoe looks on you or try to help you out they are more just cashiers than anything. read more

I came here on a Thursday evening and the mall was close to empty. I hit up Shiekh Shoes and the experience was great. From the time I walked in the store I received a warm greeting and awesome customer service. The prices were on point and they had a lot of specials. I left there with a pair of Jordan's and the wife with some boots for less than $100 dollars. A big shout out to Brandon, his customer service skills are on point. If you want good shoes at great prices, it is a wrap this is the place. read more

I Went in Shiekh today to purchase some shoes at the Chula Vista location and I had a terrible experience. I asked one of the employees named Elsa to call another location to find a shoe that was unavailable at the Chula Vista location and she refuse to do so. Elsa had a really bad attitude and her response was so rude, she just didn't want to help me at all. When buying shoes I expect to be happy and excited, this Shiekh didn't offer that experience. read more

I've been in & have shopped in all my surrounding Shiekh stores, from Chula Vista to Mission Valley. By far, this has been & is the most welcoming store of all. I have been in them all many different occasions, times, different days of the week & different times of the day. This store (#34) when you walk in & they say 'Welcome to Shiekh' they truly seem to mean it & you 'also feel that it is meant. For example, last night. Teron & Bianca (the store rep's; when I went in). They were both professional, kind, welcoming, extremely patient, not pushy to sell, would allow me 'to ask as many questions' as 'I wanted to ask, When I asked for suggestions and/or their opinion (lol) they were extremely honest. I believe this, because I tested them on this (to see if they would mislead me, just to sell an item); It was appreciated that they didn't, misled me, lol. I have also noticed that the entire staff are extremely nice, helpful & patient too. Especially, the store manager (she's awesome). With that said and in closing *Thank you, #34 & the staff; FYI; they have a lot of new and colorful stuff & I was just in there a few days prior to yesterday and they have added even more since then. Don't sleep on Shiekh Shoes. I love getting my retail therapy from Shiekhs' Shoes. read more

I walked into the store thursday afternoon with no intention on buying anything but thanks to Monese and her uplifting attitude and conversation i left out with two pair of jordans for my sons and two pair of sandals for my daughter spending less than 100$ with the promotions that they had on the shoes.. i had a great experience with Monese.
