I had (someone else) remove old tint & re-tint my windows. During the job, they did not tint the back windshield bc the tint was "baked in" and not lifting with a steamer. I was told it required scrapping and that it could possibly damage the defrosters. So I took my vehicle to Mr. Tint for a second opinion on the windshield, to see if they thought the tint could be removed. Mr. Tint was able to remove it safely, without scrapping and placed a new tint to the windshield. It turned out great. I was so happy and relieved. The owner even showed me some small bubbles and imperfections in the prior tint job I just recently had done. He recommended I call them to fix it. I really appreciated that, bc I could not see the small imperfections with a naked eye. But once he pointed them out, I could see it! Def recommend Mr tint! read more

First off Ray was always on top of answering phone calls and answering my questions. Mr Tint is one of the few tint shops that carry FormulaOne brand window films which are top notch! I drove 2.5 hours to get to the shop as it was one of the closer ones to me. His shop was spotless! Clean, clear and not cluttered with cars stacked next to each other. Plenty of room to work around the car. The install was 100% perfect! I could not find a single flaw in the install! FormulaOne Stratos is the best window film on the market, I live in Palm Springs and on a hot summer day you literally cannot feel the sun hitting your skin, steering wheel and seats don't get hot either. Welp, Mr. Tint did it again. Another car successfully tinted. Dropped my car off around 11:00 for a 2:30 appointment. Got a text close to 4:00 that it was ready. Went with an upgraded tint to block more heat from the sun. They have a tester so you can see the difference. Ended up being around $400 but well worth it. They also do windshields but have to save up again to get that done. I think it was around $250. read more

He informed me of my options as far as tint. I was happy with the installation but the glare when you drive west is just astronomically bright and I called and asked him if they would give me a partial refund and they said I'd have to talk to the owner that was in the Escondido store so I'll pursue that eventually I want to test it out a little bit more and he told me I need to go have my eyes checked so I'll do that, but I am not pleased. i had my tint done by this company with my old car great service and tint came out perfect I recently got a new car brought it here to get it tinted. the same Day I got it done i saw little mess up as in bubbles and dust inside the tint asked manager RAY to check it he gave me attitude saying not all tint is gonna be perfect and not to bring it back till tint if fully dry which is 2 weeks he said. came back two weeks later bubbles on almost all windows started with horrible service and being rude didn't care to help. I talked to Anthony a window tinting technician who works for Mr. Tint Shop last year because I was thinking about getting all of my windows tinted on my Honda Civic Car. Anthony talked to me about the different levels of the Luminar Window Tinting process and the strict window tinting regulations in the California Law. A customer is only allowed to have their (two side windows and the rear window tinted really dark film) but the (front window) isn't allowed to have a really (dark tinted front windshield) at all due to it is a safety issue for other people driving on the city streets and the highway. I understand the situation. Anthony also discussed the different prices of the Luminar Window Tinting Film with me. The price is determined by how many windows will be tinted. the percentage level and the how (dark) a customer chooses to have their windows tinted. Anthony told me he has been tinting windows on customers cars since he was 16 years old. Anthony has 14 years of experience as a window tinting technician. Anthony was very polite and friendly to me. He gave me excellent customer service. If I do decide at a later date to get my (2 side windows tinted and the rear window tinted). it will depend on the price I will be charged. If the price is reasonable I will consider going to Mr. Tint Shop since I read their reviews and they do (quality work) on window tinting their customers cars. This was our second time here for service. Our first visit (it had been years, no knowledge of Yelp then if it were around), the job was well done. I don't recall the customer service. The visit this time around was quick, less than an hour. But, you need to make sure you ask questions and listen carefully. The reason is the employee spoke so quickly, both my husband and I had to have him repeat the answer to our question. This guy did not go out of the way to explain anything, we had to ask questions. When we were pulling out of the parking lot, my husband just had an inkling to ask the guy did we have to wait a couple of hours or so to roll the windows down. Walked in this morning for a quote and to learn about the various film offerings. Was helped by Ray, whom I believe is the owner. He immediately greeted me and walked me through the different tiers of Lumar (high quality) film available. Also had a cool contraption that had a light affixed to the back (assuming IR) that gave off heat and a wheel attached in front of it with the 4 different film tiers attached in quadrants on the wheel. As you turn the wheel you can feel less and less heat come through from the light as the film changes from the basic film to more and more premium. I had to do this a few times and get walked through the pricing for each until I narrowed it down from 4 films to 2 and finally to the one I decided on with no pressure or rush from Ray in the slightest. Now, I believe you normally need to make an appointment but I just so happened to get lucky and walk in while it was slow and had the tint applied right away. Pricing was very reasonable in comparison to other shops I had inquired at, my tint was completed in 1hr and it looks amazing. Efficient and quality craftsmanship, fair pricing, lifetime warranty AND stellar customer service... what more needs to be said? Would recommend anyone to Ray and Mr Tint in Vista, CA. read more

I was looking for the best place to tint my new vette. I'm clueless since I've never had my car's windows tinted. A few searches through Yelp, and I narrowed it down to 2 places with high ratings. One place in La Mesa looked good. I got a quote for 2 brands of tint. The second place in Kearny Mesa area quoted $50 higher. This place has almost all 5 star reviews except for 1 or 2 that say this guy is crazy expensive & a con man. When I asked the Kearny Mesa guy why I should pick him over the la Mesa shop, he gave me the following reasons: He and his partner do the work themselves (they don't hire other guys to do the work) which was a plus. They remove door panels for seamless application/look (this was a minus for me--I don't like them messing with pulling things apart). Also according to him, he uses a better product. He said 3 windows would take about 3 to 4 hrs. ALSO while I was there, the shop owner & a 'friend' of his that was visiting his shop started to compete for my business. It wasn't only unprofessional, but extremely uncomfortable! I went home & searched online for the best products. I found Lumar and searched for a shop that uses that product. I found Mr Tint in Vista which also had great reviews. I walked in to get a quote & was greeted by Ray. His quote was the most affordable, he never tried to up sell (like the first shop), he doesn't remove door panels, he does the work himself, he scheduled me right away, the tint looks perfect and and it only took about 1 hr. This business is all friendly. until you take your car back for having film that is shedding. I got my wife's van tinted in 2016 that came with a lifetime warranty or soo they claim. Sorry to say very disappointed in customer service and product I paid $1300 for a wrap on my Tesla Less than a year later when meeting up with clients noticed that the hood and bumper starting peel back and dirt and grime getting caught on edge. Decided to remove but left the rest of product on car that is also failing. Contacted Mr. Tint . I've been shuffled around from one person to the next because they did not know what to do because I had to remove the product coming off. Spoke with Ray and another employee and they did not know what to do would need to speak to the owner. Waiting for owners response and have not received anything.
