I am disgusted beyond belief with Dr. Srivastava's practice and the way I have been treated since…read moremy first visit. I came to the office in October, 2011 because I wasn't receiving the proper medical attention at my previous doctor. I was originally impressed with the office and how I received a new patient info packet outlining the expectations the office has for me. After my first visit I knew that my first opinions were wrong. One issue is that I am expected to arrive 15 minutes prior to each appointment. I consistently arrive early for my appointments, yet I have to wait 20-30 minutes after my scheduled time to be seen. After waiting a total of 30-45 minutes, the doctor will come in and will not spend more than 3 minutes with me. Not once has she examined me to the best of her ability. Dr Srivastava will stand across the room and has not even asked me to take my glasses off when I am being seen for skin irritation around my eyes, pink eye, or even looked through my nostrils when I've had a sinus infection. Second issue is the availability of appointments. Back in January, 2012 I had called 9am for an appointment. It was quite urgent since I had extreme ear pain and sinus pain. I was told the first available appointment was in 10 days and the office could not do anything to help me and sent me to the ER. It is unacceptable to me that I was forced to spend a $100 co pay at the emergency room during normal office hours at your place of business for a double ear infection and a sinus infection. If your job is to help people maintain their health, how can you refuse service to someone who is actually sick and needs an antibiotic? If your appointments are so short in availability and your schedule is so intense, wouldn't it be better to extend office hours, hire another doctor, or offer to be seen by an RN, than to let a sinus infection go untreated for an additional 10 days? Untreated infections would only get worse and could lead to more health problems. I have only been seen a handful of times at most and have not been impressed by the office staff. They seem frustrated, disorganized and bothered by having to deal with patients. For someone like me who works in the customer service field, I demand excellence. Anything under excellence is failure, and by golly you have failed. I do not appreciate being called at least three times between February and March 2012 and being left voice mails saying "Hi Linda, this is Dr Srivastava's office reminding you of your appointment tomorrow at 9am." First of all my name is not Linda. Second of all, I did not make appointments for 9am, considering I am healthy and do not need to take time off from work to pay you for an appointment that is not needed. Third, each time I have called back and stated "please verify your records, you are calling the wrong person for the wrong appointment." After I did this the first time, your office actually called me back, used my name and reminded me about the appointment. Once I reminded the staff, that I had just called, the woman said "oh, ok Linda, let us know if you need a new appointment." I should have used my better judgment yesterday before walking into your office. I my appointment was at 340. I walked at at 330, the doctor did not see me until 405pm. I made this appointment due to skin irritation around my left eye. Dr Srivastava, once again stood across the room for about 3 minutes, did not examine my eyes, and said she could prescribe a cream that she previously prescribed for the same problem and walked out. By the time I reached the front desk, the receptionist said that she can make a 3 month appointment for me, and I need to go home and check the label on the cream's tube. The receptionist was advised that this cream is not suited for the areas around the eyes. I do not understand why I was previously prescribed Clothrimazole and Betamethasone Dipropionate cream for the skin under my eye and over my eye if this is not a suitable cream. I also do not understand why I would have to go home to verify this information if I had already told the doctor which creams I have used and which one worked the best. I told the receptionist that I was unhappy with the level of service I was receiving and that I would have to change doctors. I do not appreciate the lack of respect, lack of medical attention, and lack of availability on the part of the office staff and the doctor herself.

I have never written a review before and held off on this one for a while but I realized with all…read morethe glowing praise it was my duty to offer my experience. I went to see Dr. Brown a while back as a second opinion, which I disclosed on our first visit, for a sinus issue I unfortunately still suffer from. At first he seemed kind and caring and wanting the best and asked me to keep calling back every few weeks to see how I was doing, which I did. Unfortunately in one of our follow up calls, when I told him I was still seeing my original doctor, he got angry at me and said he would no longer see me anymore, calling it "unethical." I was in shock! I'd never had a doctor speak to me this way. My health will always come before someone's ego. I'll see 50 doctors if that's what it takes. So if you're lucky enough to get the experience others have written about here that's great. Unfortunately Dr. Jekyll became Mr. Hyde to me so just be wary of what you're getting into.

I became a patient of Dr. Brown's by chance, after a series of…read moreunfortunate circumstances and a CT scan to check on a skin infection found a tumor in my parotid gland. My PCP referred me to Dr. Brown's practice following an MRI and the few weeks of uncertainty of what exactly this tumor was truly was a blur. The second Dr. Brown walked into the exam room I immediately felt comfortable and could sense his confidence in figuring out whatever was going on with me. He did just that and even was kind enough to consider my upcoming (now postponed because of COVID) wedding. He explained the tumor, where it was, the statistics of where it was and how that relates to complications and recovery. He thoroughly explained and was honest with me about the surgery and the high likelihood of temporary and some permanent side effects. He even told me to expect a few side effects he was fairly confident could or would happen. I was nervous, considering I didn't have an ailment needing to be fixed, rather we were doing this so I didn't need to deal with repercussions later. But I knew I was in good hands. Today, I am one week post op. I have not experienced pain. I have zero of the adverse effects that were expected. Well, I guess one but a numb ear is something I can live with and was the least of my concern. It was comforting to know Dr. Brown was just as happy with the outcome of this story for me as I am. Sure, some of it is "luck" as he put it but it's also skill and attention to detail. That meant so much to me. I also want to note that I'm 26 years old but have seen ENT doctors my entire life having been born premature, diagnosed with hearing loss at age 8, and having nothing but ear, nose and throat issues for years. I remember just about every doctor I've encountered and I thought my last physician was the best of the best. I honestly can say, and have told my family and friends, Dr. Brown is tied in my book as the best ENT I've ever had and I'd trust him again in a heartbeat. Thank you so much Dr. Brown! Go celebrate this success because you very much deserve it.

They have a page on their website that says they can provide communication in required formats for people with disabilities, but none of their staff are aware that the law requires this. The webpage saying they provide accessible communication only has a phone number to contact them. It has one e-mail address, but that is for requesting interpreter services, not for general e-mail correspondence from people who need to contact the clinic via text. The website says to use the portal to schedule appointments for patients who are already registered, but the portal is set up so there is no way to request an appointment unless already seen recently by that department. The Patient Relations office has no idea that the ADA exists and told the person to find an abled person to make a voice call for them. The nurses in the departments don't understand what large print is and several of them have provided a legally blind multiply disabled person with handwritten illegible instructions, stating they don't know how where they would type and print instructions to give the person. Their solution was also "can't an abled person just redo it?"

He is absolutely the best doctor I have ever had…read more 1. Knowledge: beyond that of any doctor I have ever seen. He not only knew more than anyone else I had seen, but he also could recognize what he didn't know, and he found out on his own and got back to me. I literally had five different diagnosis from five different doctors. My illness was confusing, and he was the only one to correctly predict what I was going to experience as time went on, and how to deal with (and cure) what I had despite the lack of tests to verifiably diagnose me. He noticed within moments what no other doctor had the insight to detect. 2. Bedside manner: fantastic. I was extremely comfortable. I felt taken care of and respected. He didn't ever oversimplify or dumb down his diagnosis. He was clear, honest, and helpful in describing what he saw honestly and completely and without unnecessary lingo. He made everything extremely easy on me (He partly filled out forms for me so I didn't have to figure it out and he mailed them to me at my apartment (name, type of care etc). It was incredible how caring and how important it was to me!) They really made a great effort to make you comfortable, and give you mental ease while you're sick. 3. Wait time: Above and beyond. I always came in in the morning if I had an appointment, but there were times when I was sick with a fever and just called in hoping to see someone sometime that day. They always got me in right away with maybe a 10 minute wait! It was fantastic. I can't speak highly enough about Dr. Goldstein! I am super hard to please and kinda critical in general, but that is especially true when I'm sick. Dr. Goldstein was fantastic. I never had to worry about anything from billing to accurate information to staff remembering my history, to paperwork, to general caring atmosphere, and most of all I had confidence finally that he knew his stuff, and I was going to get well after quite a lot of searching!! My highest recommendation goes to him!

Funny, as I am a married gentile woman in my 40s, I never entertained the thought of an older Jewish man....... But he is quite funny and rather charming, especially when the chaos of the day finally calms down in his office. He looks you right in the eye when he speaks to you and he notices little things that either other people don't observe or don't take the time to mention. Now on to the review: The first time I went to his office I waited for hours, as they were so far behind schedule and my appointment was still mid morning. He did take the time to send me for the tests I necessary; nevertheless, he was unable to diagnose what my particular problem was. He was actually baffled. As the other Yelper indicated, he did not issue and Rx unnecessarily, which is always appreciated and he okayed my to fly. He scheduled a follow-up appointment and sent me for repeat tests, same results and still no idea of what the problem with me ears is. "We", and I say we, because I have been looking for answers as well, have looked into drug interactions and other factors and have been unable to come up with anything. Yet, the problem persists. I have my third appointment coming up soon. If he does not find a solution to my ongoing ear problem (this has been 10 months) ~ I am going to break up with him.....

See, about five months ago, I found a lump in my neck when I was shaving. I decided I'd ignore it (what? I'm a guy...it's what we do!) but it just didn't go away. I saw my regular doctor, and she told me I needed to see a specialist, so she sent me to BMC and to Dr. Shrime. And I couldn't be happier. From the minute I walked in, I was treated with an amazing amount of respect. The clinic he works in is BUSY, so I waited in line longer than I wanted to--and that's probably my only complaint. Once I got in the door, his assistant Maria (who was AMAZING! I wish she had her own Yelp page!) made me feel comfortable. She asked me all sorts of questions that I hadn't even thought about and the put me in a room. Within minutes, Dr. Shrime was in. Man, this guy is YOUNG, so my first impression was that he was too green to know what he was doing. But that changed the minute he opened his mouth. He puts you at eas. He's funny but in a quiet way. And he's honest. This is my real impression--he knew what I was afraid of, and he didn't shy away from addressing my fears head-on. I appreciated that he didn't skirt the issue of cancer, but I also appreciated that he ran through with me the list of things I could have. It was a great visit. He took me to surgery a few weeks later. Thank G-d it turned out not to be cancer, and my neck is healing very nicely. So, thank you, Dr. Shrime. And thank all your staff.
