This is a long over due recognition for this yummy delicious beef snack. It is light and crispy and you can easily eat the whole bag in a sitting. But, it's all Protein so, it's ok to finish a whole bag in a sitting? These guys are at the San Mateo's Farmer's Market every Saturday. And it comes in Spicy and Mild.

The spicy jerky chips are awesome! Someone brought us some to Hawaii and we loved them. We wish we could buy more!

I am so happy I discovered Gourmet Corner. Even in the culturally diverse Bay Area, it can be…read moresurprisingly difficult to find authentic French ingredients without driving long distances. Gourmet Corner makes it easy to enjoy real French food at home. They offer an impressive selection of French products, including sausages, charcuterie, salami, cheeses, wines, chocolates, cookies, and many other specialty items. The prices are very reasonable, and the ordering process is simple. After ordering online, I chose to pick up my order at their Campbell location. The process was simple and hassle-free. I recently purchased Raclette cheese, and it was absolutely delicious. In my opinion, it is the best Raclette I have found in the Bay Area. Today I picked up Boudin Noir along with some French sweets, and I am looking forward to trying them. What really stood out to me was the excellent customer service. The staff is incredibly friendly, responsive, and flexible. They went out of their way to help, making the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. For first-time visitors picking up an order at the Campbell location, the pickup location can be a little tricky to find. Look for the large building with the American Barbell gym at the entrance. Facing the building, there is a small entrance on the far right side with designated pickup parking spaces. Once you arrive, call to let them know you're there, and they will bring your order out to your car. One helpful tip: wine shipments arrive on Tuesdays and Fridays, while many of the other food items are typically kept in stock. After your order is confirmed, pickup is often available without having to wait specifically for those delivery days. I also learned that Gourmet Corner regularly participates in local farmers' markets throughout the Bay Area. It's always nice to support a small business that brings authentic French products directly to the community and helps people discover the flavors of France close to home. If you love French food, French culture, or simply want to recreate an authentic French meal at home, I highly recommend Gourmet Corner. Shopping here feels like stepping into a French gourmet market without leaving California. I'll definitely be ordering again very soon!

With so many transplants in this city, its nice to have a local family to support and frequent. The baklava is delish, I love the hazelnut, double walnut and chocolate the most. My husband and kids love the traditional baklava more. I also recently had the spanakopita (so much yum) and lemon tiramisu - which was ridiculous yummy and left me wired from all the sugar lol. I noticed they started carrying Turkish breakfast so I think that'll be my next trial! Can't wait!

I'm not biased either--I simply appreciate quality, authenticity, and hospitality, and this café delivers on all three. From the moment you walk in, you feel welcomed. The service is warm, genuine, and reminds me of the hospitality you experience in Turkey itself. The food feels like breakfast away from home, with every detail thoughtfully prepared. The quality of the ingredients is evident in every bite, and everything tastes fresh and authentic. One of my favorite things about this place is that it's more than just a café. They also have a small market stocked with Turkish essentials, making it easy to pick up treats for guests, ingredients for dinner, or a few favorite snacks to take home. They offer Turkish delight, baklava, ice cream, and a carefully selected variety of products that are perfect for everyday needs. A friend introduced me to this café, and I've returned many times since. In fact, after a disappointing experience at another Turkish café in Burlingame, where both the service and quality of the breakfast left much to be desired, I found myself coming straight here afterward. I paid for my meal there, packed it up, and immediately drove here because I knew I'd leave satisfied. Marrying into a Turkish family has given me a deep appreciation for authentic Turkish breakfast, and I can confidently say this place gets it right. The potato börek tasted exactly like the one my in-laws make. For a moment, I felt like I was back in Turkey all over again. The café offers both indoor and outdoor seating, and they've done a wonderful job transforming what I remember as primarily a market into a thriving café and market combination. It's clear that a lot of love and hard work went into creating this space. I'm genuinely happy for their success and will continue bringing friends and family here. It has become my go-to spot whenever I want authentic Turkish food, great service, and a little taste of home. I truly cannot recommend this place enough.

Takahashi Market is a San Mateo institution that's been around for over 120 years which says, A LOT! Long before social media, they had already built a loyal customer base. I hadn't been to Takahashi in several years but we popped in for a quick, wallet-friendly lunch while we were in the area. While they have a curated selection of Hawaiian and Japanese specialty groceries, I think the heart of the business is their food counter. M E N U * Poke, musubi (over 12+ varieties), and lunch plates. Brown rice available. F O O D * IMO, their best item: Mochiko Chicken ($10.95) - crispy, golden, and flavorful with a nice savory sweetness. * Their Loco Moco ($10.95) with one marinated beef patty hits the spot when you're craving a comforting meal. But, the gravy is too salty. * They always nail their over easy eggs! The yolk flows out like molten lava. * The "viral" 7 inch log-sized Musubi ($6.96-$14.95) are too rice heavy for me but they make a decent, filling meal on-the-go. They sell out fast so you have to get there at opening time. * Their traditional Poke ($32-$44/lb) with limu and green onions is good quality but pretty expensive. You have to pay extra for 'inamona: roasted, crushed candlenut. -- Love the fresh chunks of buttery salmon but it seems like they changed the accompanying sauce? I'm a spicy food feen but the heat ends up overpowering the salmon. S E R V I C E On my most recent visit, I was disappointed by their customer service. There's one particular person who came across as unfriendly, and my interaction with him felt cold and dismissive. Maybe he was just having a bad day. Prompt food service. A M B I A N C E Hole-in-the-wall with five tables outside. Overall, it's great to see Takahashi Market thriving after all these years and continuing to serve the local community esp those missing a taste of the islands. I know they've always operated with a small staff but with their growing popularity, I hope they're able to get the extra support they need so the aloha spirit doesn't get lost along the way.
