I got package number three, which is around $35 which included some extras. I don't wash my car very often, so I decided to get a good job. We got in very quickly, and it was relaxing watching the detailers do their thing. The detailer on my car was very careful, particular, and took a great care in working inside and outside. My neglected to get his name, which I'm sorry about, because he deserved great praise.

They missed a lot of spots. There was some sticky, goopy stuff on the interior of my driver side window. The hood didn't look like they put any elbow grease into the hand wax - still quite dull and lacked shine. The floor boards weren't completely clean. The interior of the back door was actually pretty flthy upon inspection when I got home. When I'm spending $100 and I tipped each of the two guys who did my car for me $30 each, I expect a little pride in the work. It just wasn't up to par. So while they get points for speed, they could really use a bit more pride in their work. And to top it off, when I showed up, the guy was a little unfriendly -- seemed like the owner or manager. No "hello" or "how are you" - just "what would you like?" And I repeated twice - "Hello, how are you today?" just to get the guy to look me in the eye and be human. I prefer friendly service (call me old fashioned) and a complete, great job - even if it's not as fast as this was. So, yeah, much improvement needed. I'll go elsewhere next time.

So I've been on a mission to find the best car wash in the area -- and this time I tried Fashion Square Car Wash for the first time. First things first -- come prepared. They offer a lot of services and do a good job of posting signage, but my honest advice is to look up their menu online before you get in line AND KNOW WHAT YOU WANT. When you're in the queue and they're ready to go, it's not the easiest moment to be asking a lot of questions and figuring out what you need -- and I had plenty of questions. That said, the staff was patient and genuinely helpful. I didn't realize, for example, that getting oxidized paint to really shine again requires a clay bar treatment followed by a hand wax -- they walked me through that, and I really appreciated the education. I ended up going with the interior-only package for time's sake -- $99 -- which included a double vacuum, leather conditioning, Armor All, and the works inside the car, short of a full shampoo (I didn't have time for that anyway). The interior came out looking fantastic. Really nice work. The exterior received just a standard wash, which in hindsight is exactly what I paid for -- but I'll be honest, I would have liked to see them take a rag and go over it just a bit more thoroughly before calling it done and calling me over. there were spots and still some bird poop on the hood. I mean -- take some pride in having the customer leave IMPRESSED. Overall, a perfectly good experience. I might be back to try their fuller detailing packages -- and next time I'll know exactly what I want before I pull up. Note that the full detail is $499 which seems quite expensive to me, so not sure I would DO THAT unless in a pinch. Mobile detailers could probably do for less after checking prices. I asked during drop off if this could be taken off and the guy seemed nice and offered to try. It turned out the mat got clean but the corners looked sanded/grinded and the rest of the mat has a design of some sort. I messaged the guy at pick up, who said the design will go away when dry - it didnt! Then upon drying, i took the mat to show him the design and sanded corners and he said it will go away with use - i dont believe it! It's hard to believe this business cause the goal post keeps moving. No amount of brushing the mat is making the pattern go away. The more concerning thing is that the owner completely disowned his business when i called him, he gave me a run around and then hung up on me. His employee made him call me back and he talked to me like he did me a favor by cleaning the mat?!!! His tone was offensive and rude and he obviously didnt take accountability of whatever happened to the mat. I would have liked the business to replace the mat THEY damaged or reimburse me for it. Ana, at the register took my ticket and honored the coupon. The total was $26.00 minus the coupon. So it came down to $23.00. I genuinely appreciate that because I am very particular and I do not trust anyone else to do it properly. In the past it has always ended up worse with scratches or missed spots so being able to handle it myself is a huge plus. The convenience alone makes it worth it. I come here several times a month and if I paid per visit it would cost way more. I would probably get my car cleaned about four times a month anyway so the membership more than pays for itself. The place is easy to find, good thing it wasn't busy when I pulled in.
