Mega yummy. Good quick lunch to go. Located inside larger grocery store. Public bathrooms nearby. Loved the spam rolls.

There isn't a whole lot of seating inside, but we came early so there wasn't any difficulty getting a table. There are fans inside but no A/C, so it wasn't remarkably cooler inside than it was outside but still much nicer than being out in the sun. The waitress gave us a menu and also showed us some specials that were written on a whiteboard in the store. I thought the prices were incredibly fair and would have ordered more food if I was hungrier, but I ended up getting their special rice bowl and my husband ordered a tempura udon. The service was fairly quick and we got some ice water at the dispenser at the front of the store, which was very refreshing. The tempura udon my husband had very flavorful broth and the shrimp tempura was nice and juicy inside. My rice bowl was very substantial and was quick to fill me up. The fish was incredibly fresh, the rice nice and fluffy, and the green onions and seaweed salad were refreshing. The wasabi added a good kick and the ginger was a wonderful palate cleanser in between bites. I had such a lovely time here and the entire kitchen staff bid us goodbye when we left. I would love to come back another time when I have the chance!

Phoned in the request and arrived a little earlier than quoted time. Our order was ready moments later. Pleasant family run business. Ordered family roll combo and family sashimi combo. Good, fresh quality fish with rolls cut on bias for some character. Easily fed the four of us back at the resort. Arigato!

Best omakase deal ever! What an incredible meal…read more Here are the 8 dishes we got from the omakase: Mustard greens with ponzu - best ponzu ever!!! We were drinking it at the end. Loved the flavors of the mustard greens, katsuo and nori flakes. 5 stars! Agedashi tofu - nice light crispy battered soft tofu pieces in a slightly sweet dashi. We ordered a larger serving for our kiddo and he smashed it. 5 stars. Miso soup - wonderful katsuo flavor in the soup highlighted by the mitsuba. So tasty. 5 stars. Tempura - perfect pieces of asparagus, carrot, eggplant mushroom, and shrimp. Not super oily and perfectly cooked. 5 stars! Sashimi - we dove into this so quick I didn't get a pic, but there were 2-3 pieces each of hamachi, mackerel, kanpachi and tuna. I usually don't like mackerel but I scarfed up this one! Absolutely perfect. 5++ stars. Hand roll - missed the pic here too since we were so excited to have ootoro in a hand roll!!! It had the makings of a spicy tuna but with the extra special ootoro. Fish was all the way to the bottom of the roll too! Sushi excellence. 5++++ stars!!! Sushi - this was a WOWWWWW dish!! Two pieces of hamachi, ootoro, seared hotate and uni (from Japan) nigiri. We couldn't believe we were getting ootoro and uni. Everything was so fresh and unbelievably good. 5+++++ stars!!!! Dessert -This wasn't mentioned in the menu for the omakase so I think it was just a kind complimentary item. It was interesting since it was the strawberry part of a ice cream sandwich with some whipped cream and strawberries. Kiddo loved it! It's rare when you can get quality food at a good price. The online omakase menu description did not do justice to what was served. I wish I had made multiple reservations here! Chef Seiji and his wife are absolutely wonderful and you can tell everything is made with love. It's such a small place with 4 tables but they've got to be the best sushi on the island! I'm guessing they're going to want to retire at some point so get here fast!!!

Not quite how I have ever had jt but it was flavorful. The chicken something - had the tase and consistency of wonton soup without tons of liquid, more like clear slime broth. Not in a bad way just not water and definitely not dry. The rolls were good - fish was good small average size The restaurant is definitely not fancy.. It consists of a single sushi bar and a few tables. This doesn't have anything to do with the quality of the food but made the experience a little less desirable... I got the food togo and was a little disappointed in the paraphernalia that came with the meal. Before paying i could make out the plastic white togo bag looked a little lean. I asked for plates napkins and etc and she said that the stuff was already in there and they don't give out plates. After I walked out the door I stopped and decided to take a look in the bag since something just didn't feel right. 2 chopsticks & forks & 1 napkin was what was included with the meal. So I had to go back in and get 2 more chopsticks and some soy sauce since there was 4 of us. I also said that I needed more napkins and she provided 3 more. They were the thickness of 1 ply toilet paper... It was less than comfortable to share dinner in the hotel with no plates, flimsy forks and 1 tracing paper napkin.

How do I start??... this was literally our last meal on Hawaii Island before boarding our red eye…read moreback to the mainland, and let me just say that we couldn't have picked a better way to end our vacation... To be honest we hesitated going in cus we saw a sign at the door that said their A/C was broken, but girl!!! Am I glad we didn't just get back in the car and drove off... I ordered the spicy garlic shrimp with adobo fried rice and mac salad. My husband ordered the spicy furikake chicken with adobo fried rice and kimchi pickled cucumbers. Every single item was soooooooooo good!!! And we all know Hawaii is packed with delicious and flavorful food... well this by far was our favorite!! The shrimp are huge, the rice was super delicious!!!!! Do yourself a favor and get the pickled cucumbers!!!!! They are life changing! They are probably the most delicious item on their menu! I wish I could find something like them here in vegas... I wish I could order those cucumbers online they are my absolute favorite! And mind you, if there is ever a pickled cucumber on a menu, I get it, so I've had my fair share of cucumbers lol... The girls working there are super sweet and attentive, the chili pepper water they have is also the best of I've had.. we even got a jar to bring back home. My husband usually never goes for chicken plates like that, so the fact that he loved it much meant that indeed everything here is delicious!! So if you are ever on the Big Island, definitely go pay them a visit!

Got there about 15 minutes after opening and there was no line and plenty of parking. Easy to find a table. Service was friendly and she explained the menu. Ordered the 3 item plate with garlic butter shrimp, garlic furikake chicken and short ribs to share. Also had the potato mac salad. All were delicious! One star off for super fatty short ribs ($13.99 surcharge was on the high side for the small amount) and high price (paid $2.99 for a bottle of Costco Kirkland water and $3.50 for a can of Aloha POG - at least they were cold!) but welcome to Hawaii I guess! Would return to try other menu items!
