The Postal employees are always friendly and service is quick. Not a big location, however the window service area has mostly all the standard supplies and greeting card stand you need to send your packages on their way. Don't forget to get your Forever stamps, so you can save money when they raise the prices at a later date. Also, they have Post Office boxes available and accessible 24/7.

Most people have very low expectations about the post office based solely on the common stereotypes of a bureaucratic organization staffed by associates who aren't extroverted enough to work at the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission. While this off-the-beaten-path location is smaller than most of the other post offices in the area (and only offers a handful of dedicated customer parking spots and only one customer service station), the associates that operate the Convent Station location are able to compensate for the small size of the facility by offering friendly and efficient service and being knowledgeable about postal products and services. I've never had to wait in line more than a few minutes to have my mailing and shipping needs handled and the staff has always been happy to answer any questions that I have about the products and services.

I had a package that was being held at the location and the worker seemed hesitant to let me take it, even with proof of ID, I was practically interrogated. With other visits, I've been in and out quickly without issue. The biggest perk of this post office is that the location is easy to get to, other than that, there's really no appeal.

They will lose packages and give false tracking information just to tell their bosses that they have fast service. That means they will do anything to stop the time it takes to deliver a package. Thats all they care about. They will leave misleading and falsified tracking numbers. Like today, they had a package scanned 5 times available for pickup in Parsippany and nothing else, The whole time the package was in Mountain Lakes. 3 Day ago Mountain Lakes claims they didn't have package that was clearly stated as delivered. The clerk makes claims that its not there, but its been sitting in the PO Box the whole time. Another screw up thanks to Mountain Lakes. They scanned the package delivered when no one has picked it up. It should read "available for pickup" not delivered. Another scam to give themselves falsified credit. This has been going on for years and now we've had it. They waste our time and money traveling to the post office waiting in line, and then having to deal with their BS all the time. They refuse to take responsibility for anything they do and they play the moron blame game on someone else. Will no longer be using this nightmware of a post office!

Door was open, no staff in sight for five minutes. When someone finally appeared, I asked about my package. Turns out it had been sitting untouched on their floor since Tuesday. I took it back and brought it straight to FedEx. To his credit, the kid did ask for ID before handing it over. If you claim to be a shipping service, maybe try shipping. What a joke.
