You can't tell me if my package is sitting somewhere in your store because your staff wouldn't even check. They didn't ask me what the package looked like, when I dropped it off, anything. They were entirely dismissive and when I offered to give them the tracking they said "we don't do that". It's been 5 days and still no update. This only happens when I don't ask for a receipt. I did contact USPS, they told me it was never picked up and to contact Ship Shop. read more

This place is actually kind of neat. I had to come here because they have LIVE SCAN finger printing. I went during the pandemic and they were really great about wiping the machine, wearing gloves, and masks. We ware that this place is pretty cramped so be sure to wear your mask. I used to come in here Quite frequently, When I ran a online business. The customer service was not great, Until they became more familiar with me coming in on the regular. There are two employees that come to mind. BUT today, I Was in a rush and had forgotten to grab a lint roller nextdoor at the Dollarstore before work! Tape...AHA. Shipshop! And with the intent to buy a whole role of tape which was unnecessary, The kind courteous Gal working At the counter who His service before was SO courteous and kind to lend to borrow a lint roller. I don't post reviews. I have to say this place has really gone down hill. I had a mailbox here for 4 years around 10 years back and had a great experience with them. So as a repeat customer I was expecting the same stellar service. Instead it is so bad that even though I paid a year in advance I decided to never have anything sent there and to get another mailbox. The staff that I dealt with were rude, abrasive and inept. It took me three visits and several different staff to get everything set up that the owner had set up for me the first time I used this service, the first time. It wasted a lot of my time and definitely my money. They have a real training issue so the staff don't have answers to questions and they don't set up your account correctly. They don't ask questions as to all the options you need and they don't tell you about any non refundable issues. When I called to cancel, 3 months in and found there was no refund available. I let the person know that I had not been told that upfront and she became very hostile and defensive about how it was in the long contract and I should have read it and I should have contacted the day I set it up to cancel my option and then she began to argue with me about how basically I didn't do a good job learning what I could and couldn't get back and that all other places were the same as there's. All I was saying was I wasn't told this by the man who set up my account and didn't have time to read the contract and cancel or change it to monthly that day. All of this was very unnecessary to add to the financial loss but it is par for the course as to why I would never use this place again. Terrible training of staff, rude staff, defensive staff and very poor customer service. It's one thing to keep the money and be respectful that I wasn't told upfront and apologize for that. It's another thing to go on and on arguing and berating someone for not having time to change it the day of. So then I asked her to not continue in a year my service and to please send me an email stating she had cancelled my service, because I DO NOT TRUST that a staff member won't automatically renew my box and charge me hundreds more for another year. She told me "she doesn't do that". So here I am to write a review to document in case this place decides to try to charge my box again next May 2024 for another year, even after today via the phone I CANCELLED MY BOX WITH THEM. What happened to the owner of this place? I never saw him when I went in and he was the main reason I went back to use this shop. He was so PROFESSIONAL. Does he know the way customers are spoken to and treated. HE needs too know. Shout out to him. Training is much needed. read more

The Ship Shop is a such a great option for your stationery and shipping needs. They have so much available here and although they might have their usual mark up for services and products they still remain reasonably priced for most of their items. Heck you can even buy keys and duplicate your own if you need to. I've used them for faxing (because let's face it... most printers these days don't have a faxing option on them) and the whole staff was just so incredibly warm and inviting. I also love the ample amount of parking that is available in this Strip Mall lot. Got a couple of things to do? There is a Dollar Tree and a Discount Grocery Store located in the same lot!.... location location location. I highly recommend coming here for whatever needs you may have that would normally be at like a UPS Store. read more

Always excellent customer service. If you have stupid questions they don't get annoyed theyh try to explain it to you. You can even email your packing slip to them and they'll print it out for $0.17 cents. Ships fast and correctly. Won't go anywhere else. read more

DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE. They lie. They gouge and they charge for everything including an extra fee to check your mail in the evening taking advantage of the fact that most people work during the day. Ship Shop was chosen only because of its location. I opened a mailbox there to receive important mail that I didn't want to miss. I paid an annual fee using my credit card. Upon arriving home 1 1/2 hours away I realized they did not give my credit card back. I called and yes, they said that my credit card was still sitting on the cash register where they had left it. I should have noticed before I left but I am not used to a merchant not returning my card. I asked if they could please drop it in the mail for me and they said sure but I would have to pay $25 for that service. Seriously? I just paid them just under $200 and they kept my card in the first place. I canceled the card and ordered a replacement from my bank. This year I had some medical issues so I didn't make it there by my renewal date but did not long after finding that my key didn't work. I checked at the counter and they lied saying they called and tried to contact me and had left me a message. Baloney. My phone and email were always up and checked daily. No message from them ever. No missed calls. Nothing. So I asked at least please give me my mail please from the year that I had paid for. They smirked and said, "Oh, We sent it all back." I was devastated. It was very important to me. If you care at all find a better place. I did. read more

I was getting such poor service I asked to talk with the manager. It turns out I was talking to the manager. She identified herself as Liz. She was so unprofessional. I will NEVER go here again based on Liz. There are several shops that offer the same services within 2 miles easy so there is no reason to return. read more

I stop in here because it's on my way between home and my child's school and sometimes I need stamps or some kind of special postage. I've never had copies or printing or shipping or packing done here and I don't rent a mailbox - so I can't speak to that aspect. I can say that the women (that's all I've ever seen) who work here seem to be pleasant and know what they're doing. I'm in and out - and that's about all I want from a postal place. Most of the store's footprint is taken up with little knick-knacks and other bric-a-brac from local sellers and the like. I don't know who buys that stuff, but someone must because it takes up a ton of space. Anyway, if you just want your mail to get there and not be hassled, this is a good spot. read more

It is a nicely run family business and they all are very helpful and friendly with their customers. If you are waiting in line to mail a package during the busy times there is plenty to look at - the store is also a gift shop and they sell a wide variety of gifts and knick-knacks. read more

Bought prints and scans that I never received. I waited multiple hours then called back because the files were time sensitive and they blamed it on me having yahoo. I asked if there was anyway to get the prints forwarded to another email and they told me just to download an app and do it at home. AFTER I already paid and spent an hour at the shop. Let me start by saying it is important to support local businesses. I will always try to go to one of my local shops rather than a big business store, which really makes Ship Shop an attractive option for me. However, I had the displeasure of witnessing the owner acting in a way that I cannot support. I saw an entire exchange between him and some roofers who were working on the roof and replacing A/C units. The owner of Ship Shop clearly felt like the roofers weren't communicating what they were doing right, and whether they did communicate that or not is really despite the point for me. The owner of ship shop treated these workers with more disrespect than I've seen in a long time. Instead of making an effort to communicate with the roofers effectively, he ended up going on a long rant about how stupid they were and how they needed to lose weight. Multiple times he called one of the roofers a "fat a**-hole". And even told him to "lose some weight". He would not let up either. The roofers tried to take the high road and communicate but the owner kept interrupting them with insults. It was so incredibly disrespectful and I feel very upset about it. I don't understand why he had to resort to demeaning insults that have nothing to do with their services. Also, it's the property manager's responsibility to keep these buildings in working order and obviously the roof needed to be replaced. It's just ironic that he is disrespecting the people who are literally keeping a roof over his business' head. I cannot stand for this. I will never do business here again. I cannot support individuals who are cruel and resort to demeaning others. read more

The only place I will mail any package. Why? Because they do it all for you. I have numerous times come in with some last minute shopping still in the bag with tags on & they give me space & time to help get everything organized while they help package it all off to the variety of places I tend to send all over the US, Japan & Mexico. The coworkers are always friendly & if I have to wait in a line I can window shop a bit, or get popcorn. My favorite part is most of the addresses are confirmed in their computer system & it is done so well with them always trying to fit anything I bring into the cheapest package. And, they always ask, is this ok? And if it's not, they try again. Love this place. My own small complaint is the air freshener. As a hypoallergenic person the smell can be a bit too much for me, but I never break out nor want to stop coming. read more

I have done business with The Ship Shop somewhat regularly for several years. On this trip, I dropped off a package to be returned to Amazon. The employee at the counter was busy serving another customer, so I was just waiting for my turn. At a break in the conversation the employee asked if I was just dropping off a package. I replied 'yes' and then he told me to just leave it next to the counter, which I did. About one week later the package is still missing. I'm not sure what happened to the package. In the future I will not drop off the package until it has been scanned into the system. read more

I needed to send an overseas package for a friend. I took in a variety of items to be re-packaged into one larger box. I expected to pay for them re-package the items, but expected that the shipping fees would be the same wherever I went. I was surprised at how expensive the package ended up being. I didn't get a breakdown of the fees so when I got home I went to the USPS site so I could figure out the itemized charges for my friend. I was shocked to see that the USPS site showed the charges at about $100 less. The difference was about $40 over in shipping and $60 over on insurance. So I called and asked him why there was a $100 difference in the charges. He gave me a very hard time and accused me of not supporting small businesses. On the phone he made a big deal out of the fact that he wasn't sure he would be able to refund the cost - and that the over cost was my fault because I was the one who wanted the insurance. I told him I was coming right back up to get the package because I was uncomfortable with the transaction. Thankfully, I had enough time to go back immediately and get my package before USPS came. He refunded my original transaction ($270 for a 49 lb package) and then charged me $42 for packing the 20 inch square box. I then took the package to my neighborhood SMALL BUSINESS postal shop - and paid what I should have been charged for shipping to begin with. read more

So far I am disappointed. I brought a number of items to Ship Shop over a week ago. The sweet girl told me I would be called the next day or so. I was not given a receipt. No one called, so I stopped by. She said he had not finished the evaluation. I wrote an email asking for an itemized and signed list. When it arrived, I could not read it as it was so dim and there was no signature. I called this morning and the automated voice said I need a code to leave a message! Stay tuned. I am going by this morning to pick up my items unless the owner/manager is ready to proceed. read more

I have been sending things through the Ship Shop for awhile an have spent plenty of money on cards, stuffed animals, Christmas and holiday shipping, not to mention overnight priority mailings. On the 12th of Feb. 2016 I asked my daughter to send a two to three day letter to me in Irving Texas, and as of the 18 it is still not where I am temporarily staying. When I called to ask them about tracking, they informed me the package had gone from Washington State, to Puerto Rico, and was currently in LA as of the 17th and I MAY see it by Saturday the 20th. When I asked them what happened, they admitted by saying it had been mixed in with some wrong mail. And then I asked them to refund my $7.49, they told me absolutely not. It was not their fault, and even after me pointing out how much I had spent over the years, the owner under no uncertain terms. Still refused to refund or credit me the $7.49, telling me he was not responsible for the package getting to me on time. These people do not take responsibility or care enough to keep a loyal customer for one by just doing the right thing and refunding me my $7.49, or even being polite about it. It was not about the money to me at all. It was about their unwillingness to be gracious enough to refund my money, or even take the time to make a phone call to the shipper, they chose, to see if they themselves could get a refund, and intern refund me. Although they've never actually been all that pleasant in there. This just sealed their fate with me and anybody I know that has used, or is currently using them in my neighborhood which is less than 5 blocks down the street. DO NOT USE THE SHIP SHOP. Nice enough, friendly and polite, but I called around 1:00 in the afternoon to get shipping information and to find the fastest way to ship a small package to the east coast. When I came in I asked again about 2 day shipping, because it's Saturday, and he told me that they just picked up 20 min ago. I asked why he didn't tell me that when I called, same person, and he apologized but still.... I needed to get a package across country asap and he should have told me to come in to make the afternoon pick up. read more

We LOVE this place for many reasons! Everyone who works there is friendly and helpful We don't go to the government post offices anymore because everything we need/want is at The Ship Shop. We've also used their xerox machine; if you don' know how to use it, they help you. . Our granddaughter enjoys browsing through the small gift shop area and begs to go there on "popcorn days".
