    Patio

We had a delicious dinner out on the patio. Food, service, views were all perfect! The poutine was so good! And the lobster roll on a croissant was a fun delicious change.

This was a great dinner pick. We had three entrees and the clam chowder. All perfectly cooked. Ribeye special was excellent. The lobster roll had big chunks of lobster with garlic butter on the outside of the lightly toasted roll. The salad had a creamy lemon basil dressing that complemented the fresh greens nicely.

Delicious mussels with garlic bread- highly recommend!!

They take reservations and as a party of 6, that's a nice start. Staff was very friendly and the food was some of the best we had in PEI.

Decent restaurant. Good variety on the menu. Bacon wrapped figs were excellent, baked oysters and fish and chips were pretty good.

Our family has to navigate life with a severe nut allergy, so we were impressed when the staff took the time to discuss with us exactly which menu items were made in-house and safe. It's a mom and pop operation, they talked about how hard it was to find consistency and quality from the suppliers during -and after- the pandemic. We were able to find several food options for my son, and for him we ordered fried fish with a side of poutine. He was in heaven. Well, we all were, actually, because the seafood was delish. We even returned later for soft serve ice cream because they guaranteed it was nut-free. My kid has only had ice cream from a commercial restaurant maybe 2 or 3 times in his life, so it was a very rare and welcome treat. We definitely recommend Captain Scott's - both for their food and also for their family's friendliness and service. We love this place. Thank you!

The place was kind of depressing it was empty and staff were on their phones the whole time. Multiple people came in and left because of the ridiculous prices. The staff weren't doing their jobs as they were sit around and not doing anything while on their phones. Overall do NOT come to this restaurant it was my worst part of my trip to Canada.

Another PEI spot where freshness takes centre stage, but with its own distinct personality. While…read moremost oysters along the island's northern coast trace their origins to Malpeque Bay, only those harvested here can officially be called Malpeque oysters. And at Malpeque Oyster Barn, you're eating them just steps from where they're pulled from the water--sometimes within hours. The setting is part of the charm: an old fishing shack that's been turned into a small, inviting dining room with views of the harbour. It's casual and unfussy, the kind of place where the smell of saltwater mixes with the sound of gulls outside. We kept things classic--Malpeque oysters, mussels, and a lobster roll. The oysters were some of the best we had on the island, briny and clean with that signature Malpeque sweetness. The mussels were plump and tender, and the lobster roll came with a side of creamy potato salad (yes, I know, I keep talking about the potatoes--but it's PEI, and they really are that good). It's not just about the quality here--it's about proximity. Eating oysters this close to where they're harvested gives a sense of place you can't replicate off-island. Friendly service, incredible seafood, and an authentic maritime atmosphere make Malpeque Oyster Barn a stop worth planning your trip around.

The menu is simple but has items for everyone. No burgers but a chicken burger grilled. No fries but they have lots of sides. Oysters are their specialty and they do it right. Raw and fried (yes please). They have seafood chowder and daily deserts. A definite stop for oyster lovers.
