During the installation of the new gas line needed for my pool heater, the last pipe was installed incorrectly and that caused the main control valve on the pool heater to break. Their manager came to the site and reviewed the installation but left without any indication on what they would do. I had the valve replaced by the pool company. They have refused to pay for the valve and not come back to complete their work. In the previous three years I have used the company with bills exceeding $15,000. Maybe the change in ownership by individuals from New Zealand have changed the company. read more

Is there a way to give LESS than a star?! Do not book time with this company. They charge an $80 fee to come out and give an estimate (so they say). OK, that seems fine. The plumber came to my house, was here less than 5 minutes and told me it would be an additional $300 dollars to actually snake the line in to look at the plumbing. Bait and switch, much? When I said no to that, he said, "That'll be $80." Literally, he wanted me to pay $80 to come in, try up up charge me and leave. I get how plumbing companies don't want their time wasted. This company will waste YOUR time and try to trick and cheat you. Had they asked me what i needed when they booked the appointment, they could've quoted me what they would actually charge to create an estimate. This approach was sneaky and underhanded. I would never use this company again, not because products used have failed, but because of their extremely poor customer service. Majestic completed an outdoor lighting project in late December 2024 in the Richmond Hill area. Landscaper cut a line so I asked if they can repair the line (my responsibility) so they came out to look at it and assessed that the lines should have been buried 6 inches below the surface and not just run along the edge line. I asked them to reinstall properly and they quoted me another $800-$1000 to properly bury the lines. This should have been done in the first place! They would not acknowledge this. After a month, 2 of 3 transformers that were used failed. When I contacted Majestic, they told me that they have LEFT OUR AREA permanently and did not offer to help. Only suggestion made was that I contact the lighting supply company for replacements. When I told them that THEIR INSTALLER ORDERED THE EQUIPMENT they would not make an effort to assist. I contacted the company (Zuckeo) and they were kind enough to replace the transformers but needed an order number which I did not have since I did not order directly. IT TOOK ME 3 MONTHS TO OBTAIN THE ORDER NUMBER FROM MAJESTIC. Terrible customer service. Be aware that they will not stand by their work nor equipment used. Customer be damned because they stopped providing service to this area of the state and no longer cared. Why is this the customer's fault?!? READ THIS BEFORE THEY STEAL $50 TO TELL GIVE YOU AN OUTRAGEOUS QUOTE. A simple, 90 degree angle and 12 inches of pvc pipe. This was all that was needed to be replaced. The tech JOSH shows up, upon seeing what needs to be done, immediately, without looking at the pipe coming out of the wall, says he would need to go to my backyard, dig up this pipe (tear up the backyard in the process) and replace it to be on the safe side. I am an HVAC tech and understand the business of upselling, however this was ridiculous. He changed his mind when i told him my background, and asked him to actually measure how much pipe he had to work with in joining the 90 degree coupling. He then says "let me go out to my truck and see if I have the parts". I wait 1 minute, follow him, he has his phone, starts to make a phone call, sees me, stops and then just paces back and forth, finally writes a quote for coupling the existing pipe to a 90 degree angle and 12 inch length of pvc..... FOR $750 DOLLARS!!! We told him "no thank you". He was gone in 10 seconds. I spoke with the accounts receivable rep, she told me this is an average quote for the scope of work in the actual picture in this review. Now they demand $50 for a bogus quote. Beware of this company, please pay attention to the bad reviews, the good ones must be friends of the owners. TERRIBLE. When I asked about the simplest solution (replace an existing sink) they said could be $600, but refused because of code violations (despite not seeing the new sink) and would only do the $1,600 work. My realtor recommended Majestic Plumbing. These guys got the job done and fast. My tenant had a clogged toilet. After both of us tried to clear the clog with no success, I contacted my realtor to see if she had any recommendations. The last plumbing company I used, Atlanta Plumbing Plus, had closed (https://www.yelp.com/biz/atlanta-plumbing-plus-norcross) so I was looking for a new plumber. I called Majestic on a Sunday morning around 10:30 AM. A lady answered the phone, took down my information, and told me someone would be in touch. About 5 minutes later, Alan called me. I think Alan is the owner; if not, one of the managers. He told me he could have someone on-site within 1-2 hours which I thought was great. I described to Alan the situation and he quoted me $185 to use an auger plus $95 for the Sunday/emergency trip fee. Any other day, there wouldn't have been the $95 fee. This was his initial quote, but the final diagnosis would be made by the plumber dispatched on-site. It was possible I needed a new toilet. Fortunately, I didn't. I told Alan to tell his plumber to call me when he was 10 minutes away. That way, I could meet the plumber at the property. Harold, the plumber, called me at 11:30 AM to tell me he was 10 minutes away. I thought that was quick. Harold assessed the problem (checked the bathroom sink and tub for backups as well) and determined an auger was indeed what was needed. He went to his truck, wrote up a bill, grabbed his auger, and went to work. It only took him a minute or two to clear the clog with his hand-cranked auger. The job was done by 12:00 PM, only 1.5 hours after my initial call to Majestic. I'm not sure where Harold was coming from, but I met him at my rental property in Midtown. I loved how fast and efficient these guys were. I paid with credit card. There was a 3% fee for paying with credit card, so my total came out to $288.40. It wasn't cheap, but it was also a Sunday. I don't know how these guys' prices compare to the competition, but I was happy with the end result which is what really matters. Problem solved. Thanks, Majestic. Let me start by saying that Terry, electrician, did an excellent job on my recessed lighting install. If I were simply reviewing Terry's work, I would provide a 5 star review. When my expectation differed from the reality, Terry offered advice based on professional experience. Further, when challenges arose, Terry consulted me at every step of the way, worked neatly and quickly, and left my home in great condition. But truth in disclosure requires that I share more. It took several attempts in order to get someone from Majestic out to my home. After taking a day off from work to meet with their technician that never showed up, and then a second technician failed to show on the same day. Ashley at the home office tried to make things right by apologizing profusely. Unfortunately as this cost me money, I shouldn't have had to be the one to bring up a customer discount. Again, Terry their electrician did a great job! Bottom line, the Angie's List deal that led to my calling Majestic was not honored either. I had a HORRIBLE experience with Majestic! The company put an offer on Angie's List: $39 for a credit toward $169 worth of services. I needed several things done at my new house, including the installation of light fixtures. The young man who came to my house told me that the company wasn't making any money off the Angie's List deal they signed up for (they've done it more than once, however), and it's clear that they recuperated their losses through the added costs of the small jobs I had them do. The technician installed two light fixtures, and, as a separate job, attached wires from a light-outlet box to a dimmer switch I had already purchased. But here's the rub: The guy charged me an ADDITIONAL $230 for this service! So, they're telling me that the cost for installing two light fixtures ("as is") and a dimmer ("as is") was $399 (the $169 credit I allegedly got, PLUS $230)? THAT IS OUTRAGEOUS, ESPECIALLY since they ALSO currently have on Angie's List a deal that you can have two light fixtures installed for $119 (normally, they say, $132)! I GOT RIPPED OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Note: I would've had them do more work but the pricing was so outrageous I only had them do the jobs that I considered most important at the time -- and because I didn't want to spend over $500! The electrician told me the work would take about 3 hours - I agreed with this estimate. For this work, I was quoted $613, if I supplied all the materials. Over $200 per hour. Early last week, we had an a pipe burst under the sink. After inspection on Tuesday, the technician told us that he would need to order the part. After sitting in his car for an hour, he informed me that he wasn't able to get in touch with the office, but would let us know what the status would be. The next day, we are informed that it'd take a couple of days to get the part in. So they let us know it would be repaired by Friday. We made it a point to let them know that it needed to be repaired before the weekend. We were hosting a child's party on Friday. Friday comes and goes and we finally call in the afternoon only to be notified that the part has not come in and they'll definitely have it repaired by Monday. Here we are and after a hectic weekend of avoiding our kitchen sink while throwing a child's party. Still eating out which is also costing us. This afternoon we were told Wednesday. After my partner informing them that this is completely unacceptable, they agreed to send a technician out, but locked the part in the building to which the technician, Doug, replied that it's "not his problem." They came out to my home and took the necessary measurements and said that they would be in touch with a quote in a week. 8 days later they email me a quote of roughly $2300. I accept. So far so good. Then everything goes off the rails. I had to reach out to them a few times to get on the schedule. Apparently one of their guys was on vacation, so they needed to wait until he got back to to schedule me. A little annoying but fair enough. 12 days later the guy gets back from vacation and they finally get me in the schedule for the next week. On the very morning that they are scheduled to come do the work I get a phone call from Majestic saying that they the job was now going to cost upwards of $5,000, and nonchalantly asked if I still wanted him to come out?!?! They refused to honor the quote that they drew up themselves! The over 100% price increase was one thing but the callously casual tone of the man on the other end of the line was another. It was as if he was halfway through binging Stranger Things and really didn't want to come out. As if he was happy to suggest a cancellation, so he could get back to binging or whatever else he was doing that was seemingly more important than the job he was hired to do. They were extremely unprofessional. Needless to say I did not let them do anything at my house. After they wasted nearly a month of my time, I hired another company and couldn't be happier with the work they did. A bit of advice for Majestic Plumbing and Electric: Next time try doing your research BEFORE giving a quote. If you do give a quote, HONOR IT! If something changes, try letting the client know before the day of. Do better. A bit of advice for anyone else reading this who's looking to hire a plumber or electrician: keep looking. They came out for a free estimate (which was a little pricey), but I rather pay more and have the problem be fixed rather have a reoccurring issue. Their reviews on Angie's List were very accurate; professional, efficient, and does solid work (there was also a coupon for 10% off any service - bonus). Within a a hour maybe hour and a half my toilet and shower leak were fixed. He took the time to walked me through his process and help me understand why it was leaking as well. I was very happy with the service and will be using them again (hopefully not anytime soon). Great company! read more

I called because of a rotten egg smell in our house's laundry room. We just bought the house so ha no history behind the smell. They were able to come within a week for a free diagnosis. They showed up at the beginning of the 3 hour window so I didn't have to sit and wait for them. The plumber was very professional and courteous. He was able to eliminate some possibilities but because we couldn't duplicate the smell while he was here, he couldn't pinpoint a cause. He said we could cut into the wall and check the pipes but that wasn't a guarantee solution. He instead gave a DIY option to try first so I didn't have to pay. I tried it once he left and no smell! Then when their plumber arrived he was very courteous and informative. Worked quickly and effectively. Made sure before departing that I was satisfied. Even helped answer a few other questions not related to called service but for potential future jobs. And the final escalation to superior customer service was the price which was way below the other companies I had been in contact that were also rated positively.
