I had bought some shoes online (terrible idea because I am never one size) but I did through shoe carnival. Three of my shoes came in right on time (took two days) and the other pair came a day early. When I received them, they were the wrong size. I brought them into the store looking for assistance. Crystal went above and beyond helping me! She was patient and answered all of my questions. She took care of all of my needs in a timely manner and was very pleasant. The manager (unknown name; and assumed manager because crystal needed her over ride for something while helping me), however, was pretty rude and only said about one thing to me. She seemed unfit for the job. But overall great experience with crystal!! read more

If there was a 1/2 star rating that would be where this DSW is at. I came with my family anticipating to pick up a certain shoe I had in mind when a worker from inside noticed us approaching the door at 7:40pm, raced us to the door and locked the door in front of our faces. It was extremely disrespectful and appalling as we expected the store to close at 9:00pm from a fellow coworker at another store location. I will not be returning to this DSW nor recommending their rude and disrespectful service to anyone. Wow. That's all I can say. SUPER RUDE staff. I placed an order online as I am leaving for a flight. I was able to make it to the store prior to receiving a confirmation that my order was fulfilled. I explained that I was leaving for a flight and since my order wasn't ready, I asked if I could just grab the shoes myself. "No ma'am" was the answer. Like, what are you talking about? How can I not grab shoes I've already paid for?! And then she condescendingly goes on to explain to me that I would receive a confirmation email. Yeah I know-no kidding. I need the shoes now as I'm going to be late for a flight. So I told her, "well Kohl's is next-door and I chose your store instead- maybe I will choose Kohl's next time"...NO- let me clarify that, I WILL be choosing Kohl's next time, I will never give another penny to this business. Ever. How completely ridiculous and rude. To add on, the two chicks at the register thought it'd be cute to giggle together after they talked nonsense to one another AFTER o walked away. Oooooweeeee!!! It took a lot to not say a word. I didn't have time to educate the fools. It's not hard to be kind. Apparently it is for some. Go to Kohls, Macy's, Nordstrom's. I ordered some sandals for my granddaughter that I could not get in the store. I received an email stating I would have them 8/30 - well didn't get them. So on 9/6 I finally contacted their Customer Service by phone because no one responded to my online Customer Service Request. The man I talked to said he would send out another pair since my order had not moved in shipping since 9/2 and I would get them in 2 days. So I asked what happens if the first pair I ordered shows up and he said just return them. Needless to say I did not get them in 2 days and finally the 1st order showed up 2 weeks later. Now today I get the 2nd pair and I am now left with the headache of having to return a pair. SHOE CARNIVAL HAS HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SHIPPING. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND BUY ELSEWHERE. I have never had so much trouble exchanging pair of shoes. I bought my daughter a pair of shoes and needed a bigger size. We order a size 2 and realized that it should have been 2.5, I asked them if they could change it. They stated no because it was being processed, so thinking I would have better luck calling 800 number, they also said no. I asked how could it be processing in 5 minutes, why can they not cancel that order and order the 2.5. The operator told me she could not do that but I can order the 2.5 and they could return my money when the shoes come in to me. So I would be stuck with 2 pairs. Then when I return the shoes it would take 10 days to return my money. This has to be the worse return system I have ever had to deal with. I will never be shopping or order for them again. read more
