I'm wondering if this place is for real. Nearly 2 weeks ago I purchased a pair of New Balance running shoes on the website. I got the standard "Thank you for your order" page, but after that.....nothing...no email saying the order was received, no message that the shoes had been shipped (or will be soon)... no replies to multiple "contact us" inquiries from me, and of course, no shoes delivered. I bought my first pair of Hoka Clifton 9 shoes from this location, first time shopping there as well, and not one employee helped me out. I paid $163.11 for the shoes and after wearing them for 5 days I started to get severe foot, knee, and lower back pain. Come to find out that when buying Hokas you want to get half a shoe size larger than what you normally wear. After finding out about this I went to go exchange the shoes for the correct size and they refused. So now I am out $163 with shoes that cause me severe pain. I think the staff should be better educated on the products they sell to keep instances like this from happening in the future. It would also help if they actually did their job and help out or at least talk with their customers before they make $150 + purchase for shoes. I do not recommend going to this location, maybe other Shoe City locations are better, but this was my first and only time shopping there. read more

We were in Anaheim and I needed to get another pair of shoes. Stopped in and bought a pair of hoka. Shoes were fine and comfortable. About a month later realized the soles were already worn out. After talking to a local Hoka dealer, they suggested sending them in for #Warranty which you did. Three weeks later after we filed the case with Hoka they sent the shoes back and said that they were not authentic I was extraordinarily disappointed to find this out and will probably never purchase anything from the store again as I spent $150 to buy nongenuine shoes read more

My son came in from out of town and wanted to get some shoes so we brought him here. The customer service is great. I am not a fan of how the store lay out is but that is my problem lol. It is very clean. I like that they keep the seating and mirrors below clean. They have a neat spinner wheel that gives you an opportunity to win free items. I went looking for some new work boots. I walked in and two woman were working. The younger gal was helpful and pointed me in the boot section. I had a few questions and the older lady was too busy trimming her fingernails to help. She was talking with another costumer, but after 10 minutes I realized this was a social event for her. Very poor service indeed. If you are looking for steel toe boots or work boots, I suggest boot barn in Temecula, which has a wide selection to choose from and much friendlier customer service. Disappointed that you have to go out of town for products when the local business should do. read more

Unprofessional and rude. Bought some shoes not even a month ago. Super expensive and poor quality. The front of the shoe started coming apart only after the second wear. I didn't have the receipt but I had paid with my card and had the statement in my bank account. I went back to try and get my money back but I was met with such rude workers. The manager herself accused me of ripping it apart. They laughed at me and humiliated me. No apology nor did they try and find a solution. This store is filled with employees who ridicule and make fun of their guest. I really hope they hire better management and employees because this isn't the first time that their employees have treated customers this way. It's ridiculous. Wow, I bought my wife some $30 sandals from shoe city here on Florida, a last minute mothers day present, they were a half inch short, mind you it took me ten minutes to find anything in her size while shopping that was half way decent anyway. So, come back the next day to exchange, sit there for another 15 minutes to find another pair and the lady is saying NO EXCHANGE OR RETURN FOR 15 DAYS? Wait, who comes up with 15 days? This is a disservice to people that are effected by this Covid virus, taking advantage of the public, they are shoes! Not 12 cases of water I bought in a panic. Wow, be better to the community. Never come to this place. the shoes I wanted I couldn't get decided to get the shoes in a different color that they had my size but it was the last ones. I was willing to buy the shoes even though they had been returned before and were faded and had yellow lines,although the floor manager ( LUPE) and associates had wonderful attitudes. She would not give me a discount on the shoes even after stating she sees the fading and wear & tear, and the yellow lines on them. I received a gift card for Xmas to this place and I came in today to buy some shoes. I wear a size 13 shoe and they have the worst selection for people in my size. They have a Huge selection for anyone who is 12 or lower but for anyone who is size 13 you are screwed lol they had nothing I liked. I tried to settle for something that was meh but they were scuffed up so I just walked out of the store. I have a gift card that does me no good, wish I could get a refund on my gift card. I don't know why they do their business like that and because of that now I'm probably never going to go back. The staff was friendly though, I'll give them that. Stopped in today to buy my 14yr old a pair of shoes for the new school year, just as we had stopped in a few weeks prior to buy my 12yr old and myself some shoes. My daughter went and looked at the selection of Vans on the left side of the store and I went to look at women's tennis shoes on the right. Immediately I had about three employees suddenly "fixing" items within two rows of where I was looking. Each time I glanced up they were staring me down. My daughter found her shoes, but none of the shoes that I liked were in my size. Upon checkout I asked the cashier if the store carries minimal stock of each shoe because there were none of my size in the four shoes I looked at. She told me that all the shoes they carry were out and that they don't carry any extra. She asked what size I needed, so I told her a 10, and she shared that that is the most popular women's size, so they sell out fast, and that they usually only order one pair of each shoe in that size. I was confused as to why a store would order only one pair of a shoe size that was their number one seller. Why not order several if they sell out so quickly? She told me that they don't order according to size. They just get shipments of shoes in in various sizes. Huh.... makes total sense to me. Not. I will be making the trip out to Temecula for tennis shoes. At least there's more options for shoes out there and I can make a day of the trip. read more

My girlfriend and I came to Shoe City to find a good pair of walking shoes for her mother for Mothers Day and athletic shoes for ourselves. My girlfriend has flat feet and wanted a pair of insoles for her shoes. They have a machine that scans your feet so you can find the right insoles for your foot type. We asked one of the employees if we could use the machine. He spent about five seconds trying to turn it on then told us it was "down". He asked if we had any questions so I asked him if there were any walking shoes he recommends and he was very vague and only said "sketchers and nikes". I asked for a specific pair and he just repeated "sketchers and nikes". He then said "alright now if you have anymore questions..." and just walked away! He couldn't wait to get away from us! He then pulled his phone out of his pocket and started texting and making phone calls! We did have a few more questions so we walked to the register where two more employees were standing. We asked this kind young lady who was very helpful and recommended a few pairs, one of which we ended up purchasing. The employees need to have more enthusiasm and more willing to help there customers instead of running from them. Also, it would be nice if they had a larger selection of shoes that are popular at the moment, like Nike slides and Adidas. It was an okay experience, but definitely could've been better. I just left this store and I am absolutely livid. Never have I ever dealt with such a return policy before. I bought a pair of boots April 18th, 2019. Today is May 20th, 2019. I went into the store to return the pair of boots. There's was absolutely nothing wrong and I had my receipt. I found another pair of shoes I wanted to buy to wear for my birthday tomorrow as well as a pair of sandals I wanted to by my mother in law. I went to return these shoes and they refused to do so. I called customer service where a lady answered put me on hold again then hung up on me. I called again, and then the lady put me on hold. When she return she said she talked to the man in customer service and he said he was busy and to take my name and number and he would get back to me. How is it that a lady answered the phone before but now this lady is staying that there is only one man in charge of this corporations returns? I am so upset I left the store without buying anything due to their return policy. I was two days late it's not like I was two months over the return!!! If I were you I would not shop here! It's 2019, people return stuff! There should be a better return policy! Although 30 days should be a sufficient enough time to do a return it is not when your a full time student, just had finals, raise two kids, work full time, and live an hour away from where the shoes were purchased!
