I am literally still in shock that Carlos was able to repair a few pairs of shoes that my puppy thought were chew toys. I woke up to a fashion girly's nightmare: my adoring 6 mo old labradoodle had chewed my Hermes sandals, the heel on my Chanels and the sole of my Ferragamo sandals (a gift I hadn't even used yet) I can't emphasize enough that Carlos is a magician!! The only regret I have is not taking before and after pictures of all three pairs but luckily he had pictures of the Oran sandals. I cannot even tell they were repaired. I've been here twice so far, but not for shoes - rather for a leather bracelet. The first time I went it was because it was worn out and he did a perfect job and made it look new. A few years later the end of the strap broke and I went to him and he told me he couldn't attach the pieces together. But he said he could attach another leather piece beneath it. At first I was kind of apprehensive because I thought I would feel that extra layer or it would be visible. But unfortunately I can't replace the bracelet so I acceded. And to my surprise when I got it I couldn't even tell the difference! I will give one star for the fact that the person helping me was very nice. Unfortunately nice is not helpful if there is no resolution. I brought in some brand new leather Boots that needed to be taken in around the knee area. He said no problem. He said price was $300 pretty high but i figured if he could get the job done it would be worth it. I had my assistant pick them up since it's a bit of a drive for me and when i got them i couldn't even get them zipped over my ankle. Which was not the original problem. The knee area did look better but useless since i now couldn't get them On . I called and brought them back. He said he would stretch them out so i can get them on again. When i went back again to pick them up i now can get them on but the knee area is all baggy again. So basically i never got the work done i was looking for and paid $300 for nothing but a hassle. When i addressed this issue in the shop he told me if i wanted to bring another pair he would give me a credit ?! Unacceptable. Why would i bring another pair to be fixed when he couldn't even get these done correctly ? I really feel like i just threw my money in the trash and was very disappointed . I should have gotten a refund . This is unacceptable. read more
