Will is a miracle worker. If you had seen these shoes before, they were dirty and had a couple of holes in. They are 20 years old. He has made them like new . I started going here four years ago for minor fixes. I thought they did a great job though pricey. there was never a set price so whenever I went, the man quoted me whatever price he wanted and I just complied. recently, I had several issues. first was that he quoted a day for me and when I went, the shoes weren't ready. I was annoyed but whatever - no big deal. I went back the next week to pick it up as he directed but still not ready. very annoyed but still sucked it up. the third time that I went, he was so cocky and condescending that I lost it on him. how does he run a business where he doesn't even call the customer to let them know the shoes aren't ready??? second, the shoe job he gave me was such shit that the loub heels broke right away. I only wear them indoors at work and probably once a week so it didn't make sense that it broke. because he did such a poor job with my other loubs, he said he would fix mine for free in two days. great! so I went back today only to find that he did not put the true loub heels on but took some ghetto ass thick heels and stuck it onto my loubs. not only that but the glue job was so awful that you could see the leather peeling off already!! I completely lost it on him today which I did feel bad about but HOW can a cobbler not know the difference between loub heels and other crap cheap shoe heels???? it was clearly thicker and shorter. the entire sex appeal of loub heels are the THIN, LONG heels. I then asked for my money back and he said "I already gave you your money back". ummm YES for the OTHER pair of loubs that you effed up!!! I just don't understand how someone could do such a piss poor job managing his business. Also, not sure who the owner is because the main guy that was there once told me he was the owner. however, when I was giving him a piece of my mind, he said that his owner told him that if the shoes weren't done by a certain date, he would give me my money back - which it WASNT so I got my money back. $200 to fix loub heels is a bit steep but to slap on the WRONG heel is just NOT RIGHT!! if he does not give me my money back this time, I am going to the better business bureau. get my heels right, buddy. read more

First I loved them for a single shoe polish... I trust them so I brought my wife's purse in for a cleaning. They said it would take a week. I came back and it wasn't read, came back another week and it still wasn't ready. Another week passed and they said they had sent it out, and it still wasn't right. After a month passed they said it came back, but was "sticky" so the sent out again... They apologized and said they would bring to our home. Another two weeks passed after another excuse that the "wrong purse was sent" back. Two more weeks passed and they never did deliver. I ended up calling in, threatening them and only then did they produce the purse... To their credit, it looked good. Their customer service, false promises, lies and or loss and bungling of the service is why I would never use them again. I wouldn't trust them with anything. They did a good job in my first pair but they were 3 weeks late, I don't mind stuff being late but only if there is acknowledgement. I came a week after Ot was supposed to be ready and it wasn't ready. A call or notification would have been appropriate. i got the shoes back and they looked good so i was happy. Left a second pair the same day. Said it would be a week. Came back two weeks later and at 9 and they are not open. I waited an hour due to my drive. No one showed up. Wanted to replace the resole of my Favorite shoes here. After paying $85.00 up front i was told that in two days it would be ready. I went back 5 days later to pick up and i was told that the material needed was not available and it had to be ordered, but they need an additional two days. I went back again in 5 days and i was told that he had forgotten to complete the job and he will have it ready in the afternoon. Now i don't know about you guys but my time is really available and i can not be going back and forth like this....so i asked him to have it ready in two days. So finally i go back to pick up the shoes....OMG!!!!! it was so dirty and full of blue pen marking i could not believe my eyes....what are they thinking, that i wouldn't know....he promised to have it steamed and cleaned again for me and he was very apologetic but at this point any apologies would not be acceptable. Anyhow, a two day work that was promised to me turned out to be a month and half wait. VERY unprofessional. Absolutely terrible and incompetent service. Left a rather expensive leather bag with the manager to be reconditioned as a Christmas present for someone special and the bag wasn't finished in time. After multiple excuses about how they needed more time to do a special finish and about how someone was supposed to pick it up and take it to a warehouse but never did, I was finally able to take it home. But once I got home I realized that they spray painted it and the paint was rubbing off on everything it touched! I took it back and asked him to clean off the paint and recondition it which still hasn't happened, but yet more excuses from him. When I asked to speak with the owner of the shop, the manager said he didn't have his number. Also, there were shoes sitting on top of my bag and someone else's undergarments inside the bag! I dropped it off empty. The manager acted like he had no idea what's going on. Word of advice, don't pay for the service until it's done to satisfaction because they won't refund you for bad work. This review is for Shoe Lab at 9125 West Olympic Blvd. near Doheny. My designer bag had a broken strap. Shoe Lab charged $46 upfront to repair the strap. The repair was satisfactory, though the price was high. Here's what was NOT ok: I had to go back THREE different times to pick it up. The store's posted hours say it opens at 8 am. I arrived one morning at 8:00 and waited until 8:15. No one showed up. I called that afternoon and spoke with someone who told me it was a one-time thing and he had run late that morning, Two days later, I again came at 8:00 am. Again, no one showed up by the time I left at 8:10. I left a note asking them to call me and mentioned on my note that this was the second time they were not open during supposed business hours. No one called me. I finally went back that same afternoon when they were open. When I mentioned my issue with the hours, the guy kinda shrugged. NO offer of any kind of a price break, NO apology. I told him I was a yelper and that his could-care-less attitude and the fact that the store obviously does not value its customers' time meant I would not be back. read more

This place is a complete joke of a business! I took my shoes there to get repaired months ago and I think it's been close to a year and still no shoes in hand. My dog got to them and chewed them up a bit. The guy told me it would take him two weeks to repair them. Two weeks went by and I went to pick them up. Then he said it would take two more weeks. Then I went back again still no shoes there was a new excuse every time. I have been physically in the shoe repair shop 5 times and still no shoes. They make you pay up front something that should have been a red flag! They put the red bottom shoes in the front to attract high end customers and charge you top dollar and give you the total run around. I should be charging them for my time I have spent calling and showing up with still no shoes in hand. I'm concerned I will never see my favorite Chloe's and beloved Jimmy Choos booties. They told me they lost my phone number yet ever time I went in I made sure they had my phone number. They never once called me! New excuses and excuse they said that he shoes in storage then now a new excuse... I called to make sure they have them before I drove there again. He said they are in a different storage.
