I stopped by this Shoe Palace inside Northridge mall over the weekend to look at infant shoes for my baby daughter. This store is on the 2nd floor next to the other side entrance of JCPenney. The store is organized nicely inside and the workers will greet you when you walk inside. One of the employees asked if I needed any help but I told him I was just browsing. The kids and infant shoes are toward the back right of the store. The prices will be higher on certain ones. I saw some nice tshirts and pants but ended up not getting anything. read more

Some good sales here!!! The store has good stuff in stock but I was a bit disappointed that the white Mamba Gigi jerseys were all dirty with marks on the back for the three sizes they had. The service also felt rude here.. I asked a guy if they had my size for some shoes on sale and he just said "No we only carry 13s bro", without even looking in the back to check. It felt rude but still wanted to buy some items here so I paid but he was also very dismissive and disinterested as I paid and gave no service. No one also came up to help with shoes too, as I had to come up. I guess I had a similar experience with service as others had mentioned on here too. read more

Extremely Disappointed with the Decline in Service I've worked in customer service for many years and have always made a point to stop by this location whenever I'm in Northridge it used to be my go-to spot for shoes. Unfortunately, I won't be coming back. Due to today's service. The customer service here has gone downhill over time. During my recent visit, I encountered rude and dismissive behavior, particularly from the gentleman at the front near the blonde female associate. Their attitude felt rushed, unwelcoming, and frankly disrespectful. If you're having a bad day or don't enjoy your job, it shows and it seriously affects the customer experience. What used to feel like a friendly, dependable store now feels like a place where customers are just being pushed through the door. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and works on training staff to uphold better service standards. read more

Came in here Saturday 11/26 around 7:00. Not sure who "helped" me, but hopefully this can help narrow it down. Came in looking to purchase some shoes for my teenage son. He's in between sizes and he also has a wide foot. Depending on the show, he's either a 9.5 to 10.5. Most shoe stores have a measuring device. So I kindly asked the young lady if she had one. She said, "umm, let me ask". Comes back and says "oh no, I'm sorry. We don't have one" I thought that was strange, but ok. No problem. Like someone else said, yes I could've asked for various sizes but that would be inefficient. And from a previous experience here, I didn't want to get looks from the associate for asking them for help. I mean I wouldn't want to inconvenience an employee by asking them to do their job. I remembered vans store across the way had a foot measuring device. We went over there and they were kind enough to let me borrow theirs. Even though they knew my intention was to go back to shoe palace. When we were on our way back to shoe palace, my son tells me that he overheard when the young lady (at shoe palace) asked the young man if they had the measuring device and he told her "what is this foot locker?!" Are you serious?! I know employees talk about customers...but least wait til we walk out of the store before you do it. And why was he talking crap?? I was nothing but polite to these people. If they didn't have one. They didn't have one. No biggie. But why the shitty attitude? Anyway, decided against going back to shoe palace. Dear management: when hiring people. Please let them know that customer service is part of their job description. Just Showing up and greeting customers is not their only job. Recently had a return to do as soon I approached the counter I was received with attitude from this gentleman that I found out was the Manager. From the get-go seems like this person was bothered that I had a return. He was very unprofessional, rude and when I had a question he didn't seem like he wanted to help me out and he made me kind of regret my choice of even shopping there in the future. Came in to checkout shoes I desperately needed. I haven't bought a new pair of sneakers in along time. Upon walking in I was greeted with a hello. Asked if I needed help (and I didn't just yet) but that's where it kinda paused. She was nice but then didn't come to check on me or ask if there was anything I wanted to see. I looked and looked around for 10+ mins without her asking me if I've found something I needed a size in. Then Rosa came. She asked if I wanted to see something. She was helpful and nice. Got me several pairs of shoes I wanted to try. She has a great attitude, very sweet, and provided good customer service. 5 stars to Rosa! Thanks for your help! Shout out to Brianna too, she helped me at the register and she was nice as well! I ended up purchasing 2 pairs. The great thing for me is I fit in kids shoes so my prices for shoes are a little less...which is why I took two pairs ;-p P.S. to management-every time I walk in SP NR it seems to be quite warm in the store. What shoe store does not have a foot measurement tool or nylon socks on their store? I asked for nylon socks (sanitary reasons) for my son to try out shoes...they had none. When I asked for a shoe size measurement , they said they owned none at the moment (nor did they have a measurement decal on the floor at the very least). I left and took my business elsewhere. Not a good way to do business. Yes, they could have brought various shoes sizes... but that's extremely inefficient and waste everyone's time. Follow up: thank you acknowledging the issue. Upon walking in I was immediately smiled at and greeted. (I have never been so politely greeted and helped like this in any shoe store) I was having difficulty looking for a particular shoe, and this young man, Shay walked up to me immediately and asked if he could be of any assistance. He helped, and I had the shoes I so desperately wanted in my hands and in my size within seconds. The shoes here always look so crisp and clean, as if never touched before. I love it. I'm normally not the one to write bad reviews, however the management of this store really pissed me off. The first and last time shopping at this store. When I originally first came to this store the workers were really helpful and they made my shopping experience very smooth since I was shopping for my unborn child I wasn't sure what kind of shoes to purchase since I didn't know the gender. It's my first pregnancy so as you can imagine its a very exciting moment and you want to start shopping and preparing for this new journey. I ended up purchasing 2 pairs of baby shoes the worker said if they don't end up working out you can always exchange or return them. The following week I ended up finding the gender of my baby and turns out I'm having a baby girl. So I decided to return one pair of the shoes. When I went back to the store I waited in line. Once it was my turn the worker just looked at me & no greeting or anything. I handed the shoes to the worker and I told her the shoes did not end up working out. I recently found out the gender of the baby and I want to return them. She got my receipt and started looking at the shoes she looked them back-and-forth she looked inside and she tells me the shoes are worn. I told her how can that possibly be? these shoes are for my unborn child. She then tells me "I don't know what to tell you" I explain to her I bought two pairs of shoes and I can reassure you these are not worn, again these are for my unborn child and I even showed her my belly. I asked if I could speak to a manager and she said "that's me" her name is Star. I told her if I could bring the other pairs of shoes so I can show you they are not worn since again these are for my unborn child. She said " MAYBE" with a Bad attitude. Attached are the pictures of the shoes. I ended up leaving the Store very disappointed and with tears in my eyes. You can clearly see the shoes are not worn. This is very disappointing!!! Big attitude every time I asked for a size, did not pay attention and gave so much looks

They can't give you a return for merchandise purchases in cash. They refuse to offer any reasonable solution to not having the ability to offer return for purchases made with with debt cards or cash. The worst customer service and bad attitudes I've ever experienced. The in store employees acted as if I was asking for their personal pay check out of their pocket to give me a return for items with receipt. The store policy on returns is not honored don't waste your time. If you buy it, it's yours. If you just want your money back they will tell you they cannot because they don't have enough cash. DONT go to this Shoe Palace location for new shoe releases. The employees do a bootleg raffle system for the new Jordans that release and just back door all the shoes to the employees instead of give them out to the customers. Also if you call the store for release information they will say they aren't getting a specific release (when they really are) just so the employees can buy the shoes or they will say they are sold out (when they're really not) I had a friend who worked there and confirmed this information was accurate. I had an amazing experience here on Saturday, March 9th, 2013. Even though there was a high volume of customers, the CUSTOMER SERVICE they provided me was EXCELLENT. I was actually shocked because since there were so many other customers, I thought I'd be shoved aside... But I wasn't. They were there to ask for my size in the shoes, came back with my size at a decent time, offered their opinion when I needed it, and were overall lovely to have conversations with. I was more than satisfied with the staff. The only person I had a problem with was one of the girl employees, she gave me a little attitude when I requested a pair of shoes that no one has tried on. I wanted my Jordans to look untouched and perfect (who wouldn't). That was about it. The selection of shoes they have here is incredible. They may not have had a few shoes in my size, but I expect that when it comes to Jordans. I was very disappointed with the customer service provided at this location. As a loyal customer I have never experienced such poor customer service as far as I am aware and to my knowledge as I have been in this situation before and I have done plenty of online purchases and have taken the product back to one of your many locations and have been redeemed store credit. As I approached the counter and was greeted by Matt and I had told him about my situation he told me that I would have to ship it back I was dumb founded by what he told and I told him. Well here is my story.... When I went to the mall on Oct 29th 2012, I noticed this store in the corner of the mall and decided to check it out. I was pretty amazed by the glitz and glamour of the store and its design. So, I walked in and bought two pairs of shoes. One they had in the store, and the other they had to order for me. They told me that I would receive it in 10 business days, but not to my house, but to the store and they would call me, and I would have to go pick it up. Strange right? So I was like, that is fine put in the order. So let's fast forward to today, which is Nov 19th 2012, and to my surprise, NO DAMN SHOES!!!! I didn't know it takes almost a month to receive one pair of shoes. I called the store every week to check on the order, and still the same excuse...." We are getting a shipment on Wednesday or Thursday, we should get it by then...." well that was totally wrong, wasn't it. Also, the funny thing is, they I believe the employees were programmed to say that same reason every time, cause they never asked for my name or anything to reference to my order. So I got tired of waiting, and called the main store...the receptionist was helpful, and I have nothing against her. Very nice Gal, but she notified me that the guy in charge of refunds and so forth is not in and I would get a call from him in 48 hours, so let's see if that happens. But what really put the icing on the cake...was the fact that I had to chase them for a pair of shoes...that excuse I paid for...not them. I am the customer, they need to take care of me, I am not supposed to baby them. Even though they have a good selection of shoes, I would not shop here again.
