Good: They have a lunch special menu even on weekends. Bad: I ordered the spicy tuna roll which comes with soup or salad for $11.99 which is fair considering it comes with two rolls. The roll contained 80% panko bread crumbs and 20% tuna pieces, but might have been 90/10. I understand that spicy tuna rolls are a way to creatively get rid of the pieces of tuna that do not go in the regular rolls or sashimi. I get it but there was literally almost no fish in there. This was an adventure, and not in a good way. Special "Christmas" roll was tasty enough, although heavy on mayonnaise-y sauce and light on fish. Also, and this is a big one, the rice didn't seem right -- undercooked, I think. moved on to sushi à la carte, which was a step down. Just not very good. The last straw was the bathrooms .. both men's and women's out of order, doors wide open, big pools of flooded dirty toilet water all over the floors. I was looking over the reviews and they must not be talking g about the same place. The low reviews have gotten it wrong. I'll admit I was skeptical about sushi in a strip mall in Delaware. (Recently moved from north Jersey). But was told by many it was great!! And it was. Amazingly fresh. Sweet servers! We decided not to order a lot at the same time so we could sit for a while. I went around noon for lunch. It's really cute and clean. You can see the sushi made from your booth. Service was friendly and fast. I ordered a shrimp teriyaki bento box and a soda. The house ginger dressing for the salad was delicious and the California rolls were delicious as well. You have a lot of options for the bento box, which is nice. The rice was outstanding. It was toasty and nutty tasting. I could have had just the rice and been happy, it was that good. You get plenty to eat and it was only $9.99. You can't complain about that. our hibachi entrees were disgusting! The "vegetables" was only broccoli and it tasted like armpits, the shrimp tasted like it was microwaved and then covered in a gross tasting sauce, the steak was too tough for my mother the chew. I literally only ate 1 piece of shrimp, 1 bite of broccoli and a couple bites of noodles and rice. my mother only ate 1 shrimp and 2 pieces of steak. Our waitress asked if everything was ok and we said no, it was disgusting. She came back with our bill and nothing had been taken off. I asked to see the manager. The manager was extremely rude and said it wasn't her fault we didn't like it. More like a 3.5... The good: Excellent deep fried gyoza with tasty dipping sauce. (One of the best ever!) Delicious Snow Mountain Roll. Very good seaweed salad with slices of cucumber The Mixed: Hubby pronounced his beef ramen as "not bad." I did not like the flavor at all. The Not So Good: Rubbery over cooked shrimp with gloppy over cornstarched teriyaki sauce with little flavor. No white rice available and the fried rice was gummy. The Annoying: We felt bum-rushed through lunch with entrees coming out so fast we had hardly gotten half way through appetizers. And with the waitress coming by so often we felt they were hurrying us up. (There was only one other table of customers there) There was no music (we like something soft and soothing) so it felt rather sterile in there. The Just Picky Customer Complaints: I hate the artificial dyed pickled ginger. I know the natural is more expensive but it tastes SO much better. Perhaps I'll bring my own next time. The wasabi did not have enough kick. I will not be bringing my own wasabi. We are moving to the area and having good Japanese food is important to us so we will return but try other entrees. (hibachi?) and we will wait until we finish our appetizers before ordering our entrees. My go to place to grab sushi thanks to my brother/ sister in law. I'm the weird kid that doesn't like the special sauces so the flavor of the ingredients really stand out to me, especially the levels of spicy Beautiful roll is my favorite because it has the spicy tuna on top & the fried shrimp in the middle, but even the Philly & Delaware rolls are top notch compared to others I've had. Looks really small for the outside but there is a good amount of room once you get inside. You can see the rolls being made. Atmosphere and service is only second to the food. This place is great! I was looking for a quick bite to eat after work and saw this in my passing. I went in and was seated immediately. The waitress was very hospitable, and very sweet. My food came out much faster than I expected which was great. I got their house fried rice as well as a few different types of Maki. EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS. Do not recommend and will never be back. Started with warm beer because there refrigerator was busted. Should have left then... sushi was warm and not wrapped tightly. The server was very rude when told of the warm beer, had to ask for a soda to replace said beer (was not automatically offered).
