This was a choice of necessity. My daughter has taken segment one through her school. Then the pandemic hit. She couldn't take segment two because they never returned to school. So here we are. The instructor even asked why she had come there and made a big deal of her not taking segment one there in front of the rest of the class. When you pull up, the parking lot is jacked up. There are literally bricks filling in some of the large holes in the lot. There is also a large hole at the entry to the parking lot. As a parent, I was never invited in. I paid through the front window as we were in a pandemic. They didn't even bother to correct the receipt where they had misspelled my daughter's name. All Black folks are the same to them. The proper spelling of your name really I came to sign her in on a day when the snow was falling. They did not allow the front stairs to be used. They instructed customers to use the handicapped ramp which was full of snow and ice. There was no salt put down at all. I slid down the ramp and almost fell which would have been terrible as I was recently injured and just learned to walk again. I told the young lady at the front window that they needed to address this because someone could get hurt and they would be totally responsible. She replied, "be careful." Needless to say, I proceeded to gently walk and began to slide down the ramp while holding the railing and trying not to fall. That said, my daughter said the class was straight to the point and the instructor did not waste time with things that wouldn't prepare them for the written test that was provided on the third day. I was surprised that they didn't bother to prepare the certificates of class completion for the kids. They basically told them they wouldn't get them until they came back for the road test that they should've been ready to take anywhere. I feel like the kids were forced to come back there this way. Also they charge a fee if you pay with your debit card, so bring cash. Also their card machine was broken and was creating issues when I attempted to pay by phone. Fast forward to the road test, it was a hot mess. They told us that my daughter had to test in their car. Their case had a huge crack in the windshield and their side view mirrors could only be straightened by her physically adjusting them outside the window using her hands and the proctor adjusting the passenger's side mirror. The proctor, Azo, was unclear about how to indicate when she was done with each part of the road test, so she kept pulling back and forth in the parking spot. This deducting points. This place is a scam. I was offered $5 of the test if she came back the next day. Same rude instructor had failed the child right before mine. How do I know? I am related to him and his mother informed me in the ragged parking lot. When I asked for my refund, "the manager" argued back and forth with me and my child. Save your money. I took classes there too but the route on freeway (4 miles straight on 75 then exit) teacher there made me practice multiple times saying this is the route of your test that was not true !! It is a scam don't believe it !! Examiner made sure to take me on a most complex highway junction (75 &94) two freeways , purposely made me go to left lane even though I was clearly uncomfortable and then made me go all the way right in high traffic time !! I knew i was getting tested to fail !! He couldn't find any mistake in my parking or local roads so deliberately made sure to create scenarios which nobody ever needs to go through on road test as a new driver !! They made us wait and wouldn't give our money refund even though it was their fault // their electricity failure [ don't care not my problem ] extremely unprofessional examiner , he said I did immediate fail on highway but made me drive whole test anyway just to have fun and ridicule!! The people who work here dont even know what they're doing. I called multiple times asking how much is a driving TEST and if i can walk in. Anyone who answered said $35 and yes i may walk in. I get there and i cant do a walk in because they just decided to not take anymore. And the driving test fee is $65. Not $35. In the end you actually pay nearly $70. I made an appointment and i ended up still waiting a hour. When i finally went out to get tested, the man was extremely rude with me to the point where I cried and btw you dont get your money back if you fail. Everyone here is a JOKE. I stand in line it's about 20 people there some had appointments and it's about three people in front of me as I am approaching the window I was told there were no more walk-ins I just took the last walk in. We only take 7 walk-ins a day and I said nobody told me that on the phone and it's not on your Google page. This is bad business. Total complete waste of time. read more

Took my road test here 6/11 and passed. The place looks like someone's house but staff were nice; however, the instructor I had started out nice then switched up. He drove to the parking lot and conversed with me about my age, schooling and even his kids. Driving on the road was great but when we got on 75 i tried going the speed limit posted and he kept telling me to speed up, like sir, " the speed limit is 55". Don't go here. I don't know why my stupid friends recommended this place. Apparently if you take driving classes with them they take you on the same course that's in the exam and they pass you more easily. Cons: 1. No appointments, you have to go there and sit for more than 2 hours before you can get tested. 2. The place is filthy to the point that I have to wash my pants now after having sat on their filthy chairs. 3. They have more than one business operating in a HOUSE. 4. They don't take credit cards. 5. The car that I rode in was old, shaky and you couldn't even adjust the mirrors properly. 6. The route they take you on is a pretty bad route. DONT PLEASE DONT- The overall 2 star rating is very very generous. This shame of a business is horrible. My daughter made an appt and paid over the phone for the road test. 1 day prior they ask to reschedule AND change locations because they've testing someone for their CDL at the time my daughter reserved. Our response was we would like to keep our appt at the scheduled location n time. If this wasn't possible, refund the money so we can go elsewhere. Over the phone we were told that our appt was still good. We arrived at 928 for a 930 appt. The test proctor wasn't in yet. There was a man in the office. We waited for 20 min she arrived at 948.... we handed over the documents then she proceeded to have an exceedingly long conversation with the man that was in the office completely ignoring the customer sitting in front of her- rude and disrespectful. I interrupted asking how much longer and how much time does the test take( it was 952a.m.) I was told 45 min. We went out side, noticed my daughters tire was low on air. She offered for us to use the school/training car. We called the office and paid another $20 for the use of the car. Upon attempting to start the test, we were walking through the parking never got in the car- she sees the truck is doing his parking part of the test which means they just started probably at 930 and it still was not planned for us to keep our scheduled appt time. It's cold outside I'm frustrated because at least 45 min has gone by and we haven't began, nothing has been done. The employee was late, we were inconvenienced, our time was not valued ... on and on. It was a bad experience. Ultimately, we finally get to speak w a manager the next day whom says her name is Jamilla I think. She was overly rude and disrespectful yelling on the phone. Says the employee was late because she was stuck in traffic, then said we were late. No professional courtesy at all. She didn't want to refund any money claiming we canceled. I went as a walk in. Made no appointments. Went on a Tuesday 9:15am and there was only on other person before me who was also taking their road test. Didn't even wait 10 minutes to start my test. The staff at front desk were really nice and were able to answer my questions. The actual road test was great. We first did the parking test. Passed with no problem and after went on the streets, from there to the freeway and back to the streets. The only thing that is keeping me from rating it a 5/5 stars is that I felt the instructor was being a little rude. Nothing big though, I just felt that if he knew that it's my first time taking my road test and I'm nervous, maybe he should be a little loose. For example when he told me to make a left turn, I accidentally put my right signal and I shift to the right he was telling me "I said left, left, I said left, LEFT" I felt that it wasn't necessary for him to repeat himself. It made him sound a little rude. I knew I did a mistake and if you told me once I will correct myself. I don't know, Maybe that's how they do it and I'm overthinking it. But if you were to ask me if I am satisfied that I did my road test there, my answer would be a yes, I am happy. It was a good experience and I would recommend it to people. I would recommend that if you want to go as a walk in then go in the morning, a little after they open during the week (Mon-Thurs). But you can also call and make an appointment. This place was a big let down. They advertised same day walk in road tests but it's not true. They open at 10am. I got there less then an hour later. When I came in she asked if I was here for a road test. I said yes and was told have a seat and I'll be right with you. Maybe 15 min goes by and she calls me up tells me they are booked for road tests and I should fill out the paperwork and make an appointment for another day. So they do not do same day walk in road tests. If they want you to test by appointment they should say so and not waste peoples time. had an awesome experience with this driving school, I am 19 years old and taking my drivers test has been my biggest fear since I started practicing driving. The instructor I tested through was everything I could want in an instructor- nice, easy to understand and calm. Even if I didn't pass today I would have tested through them again because I feel as though they are real educators and aren't doing it just for the money. I'm going to be honest. I'm happy I passed, I know I'm not a bad driver so I was not worried about that, but the way the driving trainer acted while driving was kinda over the top. He was explaining to me my mistakes. My parallel parking, and when I stopped at a stop sign and I proceeded a car came rushing down and he YELLED at me to stop, then once I did he got mad that I stopped and yelled at me to go. I've learned that when teaching/driving with someone that it's important to NOT scream like he did at the person behind the wheel. Like I said I passed, with only two mistakes but the way they kind of HANDLE their people isn't professional. This isn't a bad place, but I just want to make people aware about how the guy responds when you do something he doesn't like. read more

This is my third and last child to complete a road test at Shondhan Enterprise and I never had this issue. However, today it was late in the evening before we were called and the female facilitator appeared very rushed since she sped to and from the parking lot and she quickly paraphrased/read the instructions of the basic skill portion only ONCE. It's obvious that our facilitator was focused on completing her job and going home as soon as possible; especially, since we didn't get to the lot until 6:58pm and they close at 7pm. Please note as we waited for my daughter's turn I noticed how a male facilitator patiently instructed another young driver at each segment, something our instructor failed to do. However, I can come back after 24hrs and have her retake the exam for $60. I will never again utilize or refer Shondhan Enterprise. read more

I was recommended to take my road test here by a friend. The first time I went in I told the lady I was there for a road test and she told me to have a seat. I waiting for about 10 or 15 minutes before she called me up and told me they were booked for that day. I came in yesterday and the same thing happened, but she she said she would ask the instructor if he would take me before he went on break. He came back and he let me take my test. He was very nice. He even made small talk which made me relax. I passed and was very pleased. I do not recommend walking in because they have A LOT of people taking tests there. Go in and make an appointment. My wife started training at Motor City Driving School and after the second lesson, she stopped training there because of poor instructions. She enrolled in Shondhan for training and received very good instructions. After completing 10 hours of training there she was able to pass her road test on her first attempt. She rated the driving instructors as excellent because of their professionalism and knowledge of driver's training. This is a terrible place to take your road test, I wouldn't recommend anyone go there. They are very unorganized and they don't treat their walk-ins fair. You can be the first person to arrive on time and still wouldn't be able to take your road test, until four hours later after the person that came in after you. Sat there 5 hours with only 2 people ahead of me. The place has like 5 businesses running out of it and it's dirty to the point your not even sure if you want to sit down. The staff was unfriendly and the instructor wont tell you where your going until last second before turning or getting off or on a freeway exit.
