This store has always been in my regular rotation, and has now become my primary supermarket. Their prices are usually lower than the other supermarkets in the area. They have a lot of specialty items that I like and do not see elsewhere, like Dodoni Greek feta cheese and fresh Pechter's Russian sourdough rye bread daily. The produce here is always fresh, good quality, much of it locally sourced (in season), and reasonably priced, like $1.99 for a sweet pineapple from Costa Rica, or 99¢/lb for Jersey-grown yellow peaches. I don't usually buy meat at supermarkets--I get most of my proteins at butchers and/or fishmongers, like Barth's Market in New Providence, but I found some well-marbled beef skirt steaks here yesterday for $14.99 lb, and it was some of the best skirt steak I've had. This store has installed a dozen self-checkout stations, so you can get in and out quickly. The parking lot can be a madhouse, but if you come off-peak hours, it's not a problem. They also have a full service pharmacy.

I came to this Shoprite looking for something in particular and couldn't find it anywhere. Lines were still a little crazy but it seemed to be moving. Walked out with nothing so had to go somewhere else to get what I needed.

Cutlet #2 ...and no, the 3 pieces do not fit together.

I am the spouse who prefers to pay more just to avoid shopping at this specific SR location. It's always too crowded for my liking - even with a pandemic. My husband likes the prices so he goes. A few times, he has brought home pre-made breaded chicken cutlets. This time he wasn't able to get the parmesan breading so he bought the plain. Much to my surprise, the second cutlet wasn't whole. It was cut pieces from other cutlets. Bizarre - and straight to the trash. Had this item been transparent (on top) and marked down in price, ok - but he was duped.

Pretty decent selection, from fresh produce, deli, bakery and prepped food. The customer service is what missing the mark at this location.

The slowest deli department on the planet! If you want cold cuts on Monday, order them and do the rest of your shopping on Saturday! Unreal!

Then the cheesesteak was literally 1 slice of beef, again unflavored, with old cheese. The fries were soggy and near raw. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves!

(1) The online prices are different than the actual prices. The lady's answer, "It must be an old menu." Not my problem, but you charged me more for every single item, so maybe it is my problem. I asked for a new menu- they didn't have one. Come on,now.....I guess so you can keep ripping your customers off (2) They don't tell you on the phone it is cash only. So you either have to leave and go to a bank or ATM that doesn't charge or pay the $2.25 fee, which sucks. (3) The food- I paid $30.75. I got 3 carnita tacos, 2 chicken tacos, the taco platter (4 ground beef tacos), 2 empanadas (beef) and rice and beans. The price sounds okay, right? NOOOOOOOOOO. GREASE CITY. THE GREASIEST MOST OILY FOOD I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED. DISGUSTING TO OPEN THE PACKAGES AND ALL THERE IS ...IS GREASE ALL OVER MY HANDS, MAKING THE HARD SHELL AND SOFT SHELLS SOGGY AS EVER. What a disgrace to the art of cooking to have so much friggin grease. I could've went to White Diamond if I wanted to eat food that was going to give me a stomach ache. I am so very angry. I just called the place but they're conveniently closed. I wanted to bring this food back and tell them to eat it esp Bc the lady wasn't that polite. I'm attaching pictures so you can see that I am not exaggerating. At this point, it doesn't even matter what the taste of the food was, because I felt like I just bought from an expensive fast food place. I should've went to Taco Bell, but I wanted authentic tacos and the reviews from all these people really made me think it was good here. Bianca's - really bad business to serve people food with grease dripping everywhere. I don't think you care much about your customer's satisfaction, otherwise you would have a NEW UPDATED MENU ONLINE and you would never subject anyone to a heart attack w all this grease. Needless to say - I ate the hard shell tacos. Threw the soft shells out and used my own tortillas empanadas right to the trash can. I have a stomach ache and so does my bf. Just-from the hard shell tacos. First and very last time I spend any of my hard earned money here again. And Bianca's - I'll send you the bill for my dry cleaning since the ridiculous amount of grease dripped all over my shirt.

This Polish food is dangerously good. Like "someone's grandma is in the back judging portion sizes"…read moregood. Everything tastes 100% made from scratch, no shortcuts, no funny business. I'm not Polish, but if you were lucky enough to grow up with a nona (or any grandmother who showed love through food), this place will hit that same comfort food nerve regardless of your background. You don't need to know what everything is called, you just need to trust the process. The potatoes? Unreal. Perfectly cooked, seasoned like they knew me personally. As for the other two mysterious balls on the plate... no clue what they're called, but I do know they disappeared fast and I regret not ordering more. That's all the science I need. This spot is tucked in the back of a deli, which honestly makes it even better. Tons of imported Polish goods up front, and then boom, comfort food heaven hiding in the rear like a secret level in a video game. And the ladies working there? Absolute sweethearts. One big smile, genuinely welcoming, and clearly proud of what they're serving, as they should be. Come hungry. Leave full. Accept that you will be back.

In many of its cities…read moreand towns, one is likely to find a veritable United Nations of restaurants on every street corner. For Linden, an old-fashioned town situated along the popular Northeast Corridor commuter train, it is a hub for immigrants--home to some of the best Polish cuisine. Since 2001, this establishment has been translated from the Polish meaning "mermaid" and "symbol of Warsaw," so I decided on Syrena Polish Deli, which is located at Linden Center. Upon entering, it was a bit overwhelming as the cozy, clean, cool interior features a grocery store with everything Polish, like canned sauerkraut, mustards, jellies, etc., a deli, and hot food to go. Step toward the back where one finds everything from pierogies to kielbasa; every bite showcases the authentic flavors of Poland. That is where I decided on takeout as a first-timer. Their menu changes daily. I went for the Pork Stuffed Cabbage Golabki and Coleslaw. The food was authentic, well seasoned, tastefully delicious, and remained hot. The staff was friendly. The price was comparable to the area. Can't wait for a repeat performance, which I can recommend.
