First review that shoprite removed that is an act of guilt

Well per my last review they since have offered me 10 cents they are a gross unsafe disgusting establishment the owner is phony he said call upper management they are the ones who deleted the accident footage why would I trust them people I want everyone to know that they make 1 million dollars a week and only offered me 10 cents for pain suffering, mental, and emotional distress. Everyone that day saw me fall and if anyone was there on July 20th 2025 and saw the accident please contact me respond to this review the more people the better shoprite needs to take accountability for their neglect it's pathetic and to the owner you should be ashamed of yourself below is my first review

Went to Shop Rite today to fill the needs of dinner on the fly. It was less busy than usual, so not having a crowd as I walked through the door was great. (I attribute the nasty weather to the lack of shoppers) Being in a rush I figured I hot the jackpot. As I began to shop I found I had to jockey past many employees either stocking shelves or chit chatting with eachother. I was only greeted by one employee as I navigated around all the worker bees, and none of them seemed especially concerned that I get by them without difficulty. As I roamed I did have to ask an employee (who was stocking a massive amount of paper towels and effectively leaving shoppers about 18 inches to squeeze by) where an item was. He was not nasty, nor was he friendly, but he did know the exact location of said item, so that was cool. I then collected said item and made my way to the checkout. What a pleasant surprise! They had a lane with only 1 person ahead of me. This store is notorious for having long lines and few registers open. But today, luck be with me. (Again, thenk you Mother Nature for keeping the old bittys home) I checked out with an extremely pleasant woman who actually earned this store the 3rd star. She was pleasant and efficient. I wonder if she noticed the two other employees right beside us talking away with eachother while I bagged my own groceries? Who knows... Pros: store is pretty clean and usually has a decent selection of fresh meats, and TODAY I checked out quickly (an abnormality) Cons: employees seemed self absorbed and border line grumpy, crowded aisles (by employees), did the employees job for them as I bagged my own groceries while they were idley BS'ing TIP- Go mid day mid week while its raining

Unclean, unwelcoming, lazy baggers, dirty, understocked & rotten food. Not fresh. I don't recommend this store. Terrible for the community.

Bert is the baker and chef and he knows his craft. I got a fruit cake ( very moist and rum filled ) and a gingerbread house and both were phenomenal. From what I saw spying at patrons plates the breakfast and lunch food look delicious and everyone seemed very satisfied with what they had. The menu is somewhat seasonal it seems. For example , I've heard Bert does a good chicken pot pie but not during the holidays bc he concentrates on foods for that time of year. Remember that this is a mom and pop kinda place. Only one person in front and Bert in the back so don't expect fast service. But that is why you should come here to rub elbows with the locals and just enjoy life and good food.

I ordered the egg/cheese/bacon Croissant ( they do offer other breads) it was finger licking good, yummy croissant. My two friends ate the Quiche with much delight. Coffee was served, strong and pipping hot. They have many delicious deserts, cakes, pies and breads for sale. Way better than any dinner, try them and you will become a fan. Bert the owner will welcome you with a great smile.

Friday afternoon I was hungry and had never tried anything in the area. I stopped at what I thought…read morewas a deli, but it was closed. As I drove by the plaza, I figured someone here had to have food. It came down to a deli or takeout, and deli always wins. I walked in and immediately knew I made the right call. Counters filled with breads, sweets, bagels, and fresh food, and the smells in the air matched exactly what was in front of me. That's always a good sign. There was a menu posted with plenty to choose from. I went with the Black Forest sandwich and also grabbed three giant linzer tart hearts and an apple crumb horn. Price-wise, it felt right for what I got, and I'm always happy to support a local spot. The Black Forest was exactly what I needed on a winter afternoon. I ordered it as a hero and could only finish half. It was stuffed with hot turkey and melted Muenster cheese, and the bread had a great crunch while still keeping a nice chew. The Thousand Island dressing and coleslaw made every bite satisfying. It was definitely a wet sandwich with sauce dripping, and honestly, I loved that. I was excited for every bite. The apple crumb horn was delicious and a must-grab if you're there. It's like an apple pie but lighter and airier, with sweet, slightly crisp apples throughout. 5/5 stars. I'll absolutely be back the next time I'm in the area.
