I ordered lunch using ezcater 2 days in a row for executives at work. Both days Panera was late. Day 1 was 15 min. late, they made up excuses. I wrote a review saying they were late, I also spoke to a female (not sure if she was a manager). The second day they were 40 min. late. I called again and they said they were busy and made up excuses. I told them I felt they were being late on purpose because I complained the day before. They are very unprofessional. This afternoon I went in for lunch and ordered it on the app through rapid-pick up and sat down-- waiting for the food. During that weirdly long wait time, I heard a dog barking and looked around for it and I heard it coming from the back...? But whatever, Then I was waiting for my food and the staff never bothered to update the app even though the store wasn't busy in the slightest so that was a bit of an inconvenience but it's not that big of a deal. When I picked up my order that consisted of two sandwiches with a side of bread and a side of chips. The bread was an excessively large piece of uncut bread thrown into the bag carelessly. The sandwiches were messy and not organized in the slightest, only the bread part of the sandwich being cut, the rest of the ingredients just scattered around. The other sandwich was in similar condition. Not to mention, they forgot the complimentary pickle!! . Also there was no napkins in the bag (not a necessity but it's usually a standard for other Panera's). So overall it was just a very disappointing experience and end of the day, Be better. read more

Took some time to get my 5 item order, and the place was empty. I am no fan of Panera as the food is usually sloppily prepared, portions are ever shrinking, and prices going ever higher! It took over 35 minutes to receive this order and the quality ain't what it used to be. Over-priced indeed and a breakdown in the regular swift service today. Customers were angry, confused, nervous and NOT happy about the extensive wait time. The Manager was trying his best, but the food prep was just NOT coming out every 3 minutes as it usually does. The food is good and the people who work there are nice. Panera was my favorite casual/fast food restaurant. The only weird thing is they don't always give you the option of bread anymore. Some girl in front of me was upset cuz she was getting soup and could only choose between an apple or chips. What an absolute dump. I've given this place so many chances and they never fail to deliver microwave quality food and filthy tables. The last time I swore this place off was when I ordered tortellini soup and got a tepid soup with exactly one dried out tortellini in it.I worked in restaurants and really try not to complain but I asked for fresh soup and, I'm not kidding when I tell you that I got the same exact bowl sent right back to me. Panera is one of my Go-to places when I'm out of town and need a quick meal. I would never consider checking reviews beforehand because typically you get the same quality of food and service at all of their locations. Boy was I wrong to assume that here! The staff was certainly friendly enough. But at 7:30 on a Monday there shouldn't be a line to the door. There definitely shouldn't be a 20 minute wait after that for a chicken salad sandwich and chips to come out. I started seeing far more complicated orders come out for the groups after me in line before they managed to make my incredibly simple order. They also skimped on the chicken salad. They placed one single scoop of chicken salad in the middle of the bread, only enough to fill the sandwich about halfway. It was a disappointment, but not worth the energy to complain (who knows how long a replacement would have taken anyway). It seems that they are clearly short staffed. I would guess that the staff could also use some additional training on building an appropriately proportioned sandwich. Now I know to stay away from this location whenever I'm in the area. Convenient location off of Route 84 on route 9. You do take your life in your hands in the parking lot during peak hours- Starbucks drive through is located right outside. I came at an off peak time for lunch and the food delivery was awfully slow. The restaurant is not particularly clean. I have never been to a SLOWER Panera than this one. There was a line of about 10 customers in front of us. 3 people were working the registers. Took us 10-15 min to get to the counter. Once I ordered, sandwich and 2 Mac and cheeses (to go), that's when the wait again happened. I watched the 3 staff members; 2 girls and a guy, slowly and I mean slowly working. The one girl putting paninis on the press, was dropping the chicken out of the bread and didn't even realize it. With the amount of people waiting you'd think they would hustle. The counter where they place the food for those eating in, was full of approximately 6 plates and they NEVER once called names out to those waiting. However, if you are trying to beat the rush of the office crowd, where one may have between 30-60 minutes for lunch, which may include clocking in and out, driving, falling in line, ordering and waiting for food, time becomes precious. Well, thank God panera has online ordering where you can order and (customize it), there's also an app for the iPhone, and pick it up at their designated section. Such was my day today.
