I get my lobsters here every year for the 4th of July. The employee in the Seafood department (Teresa) helps me with my order every year . I also asked her to set a lemon pie aside for me. I believe this store is on the "COMEBACK" After the recent remodeling & re-arranging of the interior, this store feels more open, cleaner, and brighter. I have more room to maneuver, and I'm finding more items IN STOCK than in days passed, where bald shelves were everywhere. The expanded Self Checkout is the BEST. Always a register available, and the attendants offer to key-in larger quantities, of which I always have. There are more employees around, and the attitudes and morale seem much better than a year or so ago. Customer Service moves much faster than it used to, and for the 2nd time this year, I asked for a Rain Check for " SALE" Out Of Stock Pepsi products, and was brought all I wanted from the stock room. (WITH A SMILE) Whatever changes have been made, they are WORKING, so Thank You. I still need to try the Deli, and I hope the "New" spirit extends over there, with no more eye rolls, or shaking heads when asked for THIN Lunch Meats. (Time will tell) read more

The service was perfect as always. The store is always clean. The employees are always present. Went for an egg salad. Never had one from them before. Not sure if it's a bad day or change of recipes OR maybe I got that top layer. The salad was more mayo than egg. Each bite tasted like mayo flavored egg whites. The egg salad looked fine. Color is good, smells fresh, it just tastes too much like mayo. The egg yolks seemed to be missing from the salad as well. That might have been due to over stirring. But yeh. That mayo taste was powerful. It could just be my taste preference too! So please take this with a grain of salt. read more

Fine if you just need a few grocery items. Their organic produce selection is poor & minimal at best. I don't like that some of the organic produce is pre-packaged, wrapped in plastic. A) If I am buying organic, I am also trying to minimize my use of plastic B) I cook for one and I don't like that someone else decides that I must buy two full heads of broccoli when I can't possibly eat them before they go bad. On the plus side, the guy working the fish department, the first time I stopped in was so accommodating to filet a whole fish and skin it for me. Very much appreciated! read more

I've been shopping at the Hatfield store since it's opening. I've always asked for paper and plastic without a problem. This week, I was told that the owner reserves paper only for online customers. I am infuriated by this! I spend over $200.00 per week at this store, and now I'm told I can't get my groceries bagged the way I want them. I like ShopRite, but I will not be shopping there weekly anymore. I will also look for another store, like Giant or Weis, that treats all customers well. read more

Poor customer service!! If you need to cash a lottery ticket here forget it. The woman behind the customer service desk was totally unaware of how to process a winning ticket!! She advised me that she was uncomfortable processing my claim and told me to come back another day! I advised her that I always had my claim processed at that store and never had an issue before. She went to the back office and called the store manager who advised me on the speaker phone to go to Giant in Hatfield!! I left and processed my claim at Giant with no problem and Giant was extremely helpful and happy to assist me. I will no longer go to Shop Rite for any of my needs!! I'v always been a booster of the store (I drive past 4 others to get here) bc of the meat dept and they still do a great job to cut to order. Typical of so many retail locations, bodies to help a customer in short supply. Darlene (supv) and Frank (store Mgr) are always swimming against the current. Heard from someone who left, its bc they are now Union, but pay too little and the union dues come out of their less than area wide competitors pay. Was very disappointed to spend $150+ this weekend expecting to be almost 1/2 way to the free holiday ham markets all seem to offer. However this store doesnt which seems a very shortsighted attitude. No more $$$ to be spent here until I max out elsewhere and if someone else's butcher dept steps up, they may have lost a regular customer read more

Monday I went to Shoprite in Hatfield, as I was walking down the last refrigerated isle, as I focused into the refrigerators, a man advised me to watch out for a jar of peanut butter that was found broken on the floor. I avoided it and later returned up that isle, looking for a dip. Low and behold, I step in the peanut butter. It was imbedded in my shoe. One would have thought that the store would have been on top of this since it appeared to be there for a while. I also asked a butcher if he could downsize a package of meat and he wouldn't On another note.... When will they replace the dirty and disgusting shopping carts? Had some gift cards to use up. Went in on 4/20 for a 4/16-4/22 sale on "Nature's Reserve Boneless Ribeye or NY Strip Steak" @ $8.99/lb. No sale signs for that, we looked 4 times. Found the products, exact wording, 1 above the other, 10 oz packs for $8.99, so on sale s/b $5.62 per pack. Did NOT ring up for that. Manager summoned. She said "these are the wrong ones." I told her there are no others of these, could she show me where the "right" ones are? No, she's busy, ask the meat dept. OK, I walk back to the meat dept. They all left at 3, the mgr is unaware, I hear her paging the meat dept to come get the meat we're not buying at full price. I checked again, there's no "right" meat, no signs, no empty slots for them. We didn't buy the meat. No refunds on gift cards. So we used the ShopRite gift cards to buy a Visa pre-paid card (after some uncertainty by store whether we were allowed to do so), and don't plan to return. Ever. They confuse you with digital coupons that you have to jump thru hoops to add to your card then they don't even ring up properly. This place is a scam anymore and I feel bad for the elderly people who don't understand technology to navigate all their BS price scamming. Was visiting from SanDiego and bought a bag of salty pretzels. Tried to rreturn with receipt and they said they have a new policy and Refused to return a bag of salty pretzels and said I needed to return them to manufacturer. The new coupon system is terrible. Only one kiosk in the store, terrible. Shoprite are masters of making you not be able to redeem coupons. I have also had point of service debit transaction errors here and had to file disputes with the bank because staff refuses to acknowledge their IT infrastructure is buggy... they do have a great florist shop and bakery. read more

This is my new supermarket and I'm pretty pleased with it at this point. I grew up going to shoprite in jersey and I was pleasantly surprised to find out this was the closest supermarket to my new home. This location is pretty clean and well maintained. Prices here are generally good and they offer decent perks to card holders, like a free ham or turkey for $400 spent during the 6 weeks before Thanksgiving. After getting all my deli meats at BJ's the past 4 years, I can't say I love these prices, but it's comparable to most supermarkets deli prices. Not the biggest store but a good selection. Oh, and their Chinese food compares favorably to many take out spots. I'm happy with our experience so far, but not just ready to bump up this rating that high yet. See it for yourself. read more

I love this store, always friendly and they have stellar customer service. It is always a joy when Herman offers to help bag groceries. Or the young man would collects the carts in the parking lot. I always get a how are you and have a wonderful day. Herman was the associate that shared with me shoprite offers a military discount, he say my shirt thanked me for my service and let me know about the discount. My husband is the veteran I just where his clothes, after I shared that with Herman he said well tell him I am thankful for his service. The butchers or meat department folks are always friendly and are very knowledgeable about their products. I go out of my way to shop at shoprite. Keep up the great work read more

I shop here on occasion only because its closer then the ShopRite in Warminster. They always run short on many advertised items. On another note, because of COVID 19, I bought some Raman Noodles and some other freeze dried Chinese cheap meals. When I got home, I saw on the box and expiry date of 2015, and I though no way. I opened the box, took out a meal pack and it had a "Best If Used By 2015". Its April 2020! Now I have to take this stuff back. These items were located by the bathrooms. Just saying. read more

Shopped for an hour, then needed to get a rain check for an item that wasn't stocked but on sale for the last two weeks. I was waiting on the customer service line about 4 deep when the manage left the counter because a shop online customer wanted a refund. About 15 minutes later the manager comes back deals with the customer then the others before I get my turn. I go to get my cart and its gone. I ask another customer service rep to announce the missing cart. No one returns one so I start looking for 20 minutes all over the store for my cart. I asked several employees would an employ take my cart. Didn't get a response. Went to customer service again and made them ask again, all of sudden around the corner from the customer service desk a employee says I took one because it was there so long. She proceed to say she put back all my refrigerated items and condensed my cans into another cart. I said I was on line at customer service and put my cart behind me because of the number of people waiting. No apology, from the employee. I did call the manager, who should left the counter, he should have called the online shopping supervisor to deal with the online shopper. I complained his response was sorry what do you want. I would have liked a employee to help me find my cart. Would have like the employee who took my cart, when she heard the announcement return my cart. I would have liked the manager to help those of us who physically shop in the store first and let the online shopper deal with the online personal. I only left my cart behind me across the aisle because there was no room do to the number of people not being helped. I have spent years and a lot of money shopping in that Shop Rite. I have shopped at this store since it opened. Today I returned an item and the customer service rep was very rude, like I was an idiot (I have 2 Masters Degrees). I had my receipt and she repeated several times "I'll take it back this time, but not again." I brought the frozen seafood on 9/4/2021 and it had a pack date of 9/30/2020- almost a year. My point of view may be different than most since I worked at a supermarket for over 10 years. I know what is supposed to be done vs. what is not. 1. Management should be seen helping in the store and not socializing with coworkers each time you walk in. They should be pulling old/ past due date items off the shelf. (I have returned so many items due to this issue and was told by the clerk that it happens all the time.) Just a word to the wise, check ALLLL dates on every item. Management should be friendly when asked a question and when they don't know an answer to something the protocol is to find out and not just say: I don't know and walk away. 2. There is a huge turnover of employees and that is a BAD sign in general. 3. Train your bagging clerks to pack bags properly. 4. Stop being the coupon Nazi's and ask a customer who just packed all of the bags to find an item because it said it wasn't found. LOOK at the receipt. 5. Beware of the produce! Man, I have seen some bad produce and would expect to see some of the stuff in a third world country soup kitchen line but this Shoprite has some produce that has been sitting around for ages. 6. When you find a product you like, just hope that they continue to carry it in a few weeks. I even asked if they would continue to purchase a certain flat bread and they said: "Oh, well we just get in when the vendor brings it in." Ummmm, call the vendor and tell them to bring it each shipment. 7. You can tell the backroom is a mess just due to the fact that they don't rotate items on the shelf and never have the shelves packed out. 8. Sale items are just about sold out on day 2 and for the remainder of the week. Get a rain check and then hope that the item is brought in again before the rain check date expires. I just want to go into this place for a few weeks and whip it into shape. They would do so much more business if they would get their act together. When they did the reset in the store, it was supposed to "fix" things and it didn't...it took away choices. I do have to say that the pharmacy dept. is well run and they are very helpful! I only shop at Shoprite because of the location, pharmacy and prices. Acme is beautiful and has a ton of products but the prices due to union issues, are well above what they should be for groceries. Weis is dirty and overpriced. Hennings thinks that it is a gourmet supermarket but they are fooling themselves with their snooty prices and fancy packaging. Giant is pricey and people I have to tell you that the whole save money on your gas is not really saving you at all. Their prices are higher sooo my friends you are paying the money you are saving in gas on the groceries. Well bigger supermarkets don't mean better that is for sure! Wish I made more money as a teacher so I could afford to shop better. Wegman's is wonderful but too far. :( read more

Diane is the worst manager I have witnessed her belittle the young staff on numerous occasions. They only reason why they are open is because it's the only store in the area. Treated so poorly by a supervisor when cashier could not get their digital coupon to work. Supervisor was rude and tried to tell us that the coupon was not good until tomorrow, we disagreed, she pulled it up and realized we were correct. Even the product on the shelves had it advertised correctly. Shen then could not figure how to give us the correct price, it was a $22 difference. We became frustrated and had them remove the items. While loading our car another employee who had just ended his shift was very rude and just asked me to move so he could get to his car while I was loading my car through the side door. Did not say excuse me nor was he polite, I had two more items to loan and it would have been another 30 seconds. He did not care and said he had to go home, his shift was over. It's a lot cheaper than the Giant down the road. I usually buy my fruits and veggies elsewhere, but as far as supermarkets in the Hatfield area are concerned, this is the best place. It has a larger selection of items compared to Giant and its a lot cheaper. Since Clemens, Superfresh, and Genuardi's left, and Giant got more expensive, Shopright is the best thing to happen to Hatfield. The employees always seem a bit miserable though. read more

Today was last time there. No issue driving extra few miles to Henning's. Astonishingly rude and lazy employees. Self checkout machine never returned a $20 bill. Let the staff know, they said they will check and call me same night or next day, morning hours. Incident happened on Sunday night. Entire week, no call. Friday afternoon finally had the time to go and ask what is going on. 2 employees were working the customer service desk. As I am talking to one, the other one - while serving an elderly customer - yells over "I balanced the machine, it was not over!!. There was nothing." Yelling across the desk aggressively, basically attacking me in front of several other customers. I asked to see the video footage, got declined, because 'it's on the computer and I cannot go back there'. The security guy said I can talk to another guy next day, who is in loss prevention. My trust in that they actually checked or knew what they are doing fell to zero after this showing. It's not even about the $20 anymore. Zero follow up, zero taking ownership of customer issue. Yesterday, I went to my local ShopRite on Forty Foot Rd in Hatfield PA and purchased 11 items. While using the self check out I noticed that 3 products did not reflect the actual price listed on the shelf. I went to Customer Service and the cost for the shampoo was 1.49 overcharged and reimbursed however the associate declined to refund the cost of the frozen pineapple saying the price was right. I went back to the frozen foods and showed her the ticketed price showing 1.99 vs the charge of 2.49. At this point she continued to show me the tag for the 2.49 sale price. I had to argue my point that you cannot have 2 different prices for the same item. She reluctantly gave me the refund. The sale price for the Lance crackers was 21 cents over charged and at this point I just gave up. My issue is that 30% of the items I purchased I was overcharged! How often does this happen? My second issue is the customer service rep who should have acknowledged the issue and apologized for the inconvenience. Pls check all receipts before leaving the store and take pictures of the prices on the shelves before going to customer service.... read more

I will never step foot in this store again no matter how convenient it happens to be for me. I'll travel the extra couple minutes to Giant. They have what 15 or so check out lanes and had 2 or 3 open so they were all really long, like always. Why have so many lanes and never use them? I never understood that. Anyway, while waiting in line my kids and I could tell something was going on because there was a lot of commotion and then the cashiers computer froze, but we had no idea what was going on. So after waiting in line for God only knows how long in the express lane with just 4 things I get up to the cashier and she says "you have cash right?" Uh, no. Why? Their systems were down and could only accept cash and they were only telling people one at a time as it was their turn to check out. Seriously???? Seriously???? Why was a manager or someone not going to every aisle warning people so they don't waste their time? Or even better warn them before they shop? Give them time to go to the ATM before its their turn to check out. Something. I told the girl in running to the ATM so do not remove my stuff out of line I will be right back. I am not waiting in line for 15 minutes again because you guys have the worst customer service EVER. Told my kids to stay in line. I come back and she had kicked my kids out of line. I literally ran to the ATM which is right near the express lane. Took me probably all of 3 minutes TOPS. After all of that lo and behold the self check out was taking credit cards thanks to a nice lady that told my kids that ( she decided to try hers anyway and apparently shop rite management just doesn't have a clue) when she saw what was going on. And fortunately because so many people left the store because they didn't have cash the lines were getting shorter. How do you let people wait in those long ass lines hoping they have cash? How many people actually carry cash anymore? Why was nobody communicating with all those customers that there was a computer issue. Loud speaker anyone????? And then when I went to complain at customer service the stupid lady there was so just, stupid. She couldn't come up with anything better to say except sorry that happened. Sorry that happened. Really? Are you? Because you looked like a deer in headlights when I was talking to you. Like you had no idea how to even handle a customer complaint let alone communicate clearly with a customer.
