I've heard of the shore house but I didn't get to visit it until February. My friend Jen Snorteland was performing in a comedy show with other comedians. I had my son because he was on February break. Getting family babysitting which is free and the only way I can manage babysitting has been scarce lately with my sister having her third baby, my dad and my other sister having been putting all hands on deck to help her and I understand but it means I have to bring my 7 year old to stuff like this if I can. Another one of my girlfriends and the guy I'm hanging out with also came along to see the show. My son was happy, he had a huge pretzel, soda and mostly played on his phone at the end he laughed along with everyone else when the last comic came on to perform. He seemed to be a fan of the soda, and the pretzel and playing on his phone. I got the charcuterie board. It was half and half. The crackers they served the cheese with was okay, I liked the nuts, I liked one of the cheese selections, the dried fruit was good. I ended up sharing it. If you take a day trip to Long Beach from NYC, do not go here for an end of day bite/drink/phone charge. This place is full of obnoxious locals. The one star is for cider on tap and fast hot curry fries after a long day on the beach. Today, however, there were a bunch of unattended kids running around and playing with a ball to the extent where it became very annoying and stressful. They also kept knocking on the occupied bathroom doors (their play area). When I finally said something about it, I was angrily confronted by a man at the bar who informed me that they were "actually the bartenders kids". Great. One of the kids proceeded to go behind the bar (?!) and give me dirty looks. It was bizarre. The mom also tried to give me a stare down when she finally decided to take her 7 kids and go home at 8pm. Don't let your kids raise helll in a bar and use the excuse that the bartender is their Dad. I didn't pay 40$ for 2 ciders and some fries to hang out in a playground then get abused by someone else's husband. Go literally anywhere else. read more

My friends and I stopped by for dinner on the way back to the city from the beach. We sat outside because we had a dog with us and ordered drinks. The waitress was nice and brought the dog a little container of water to drink without asking :) Food wise we shared the Fried Calamari ($17), I had the Lobster Roll Special ($35) and my friends ordered the Steak Quesadilla ($25), Crabcake Sandwich ($30), the Salmon ($32) and a grilled chicken for the dog ($8). The calamari was decent and came with lemon caper aioli and marinara. I noticed that the lemons that came on the side seemed old and a bit brown. The Lobster Roll I ordered was probably the worst lobster roll I have ever eaten - it was grilled hot with a bunch of onions and celery and was drenched in butter and/or oil, probably to cover up the taste of the lobster-not sure if it was fresh. There was an equal amount of soft, overcooked veggies in the filling as there was lobster. My friends salmon tasted bland and the quesadilla was filled with cheap cheese versus steak. For the quality of food they are serving, they definitely overcharge in price. Somehow for the 4 of us our bill was $235. They charge a credit card surcharge of 3% in 2024 - I have never heard of a restaurant in a pretty populated area charging this today, so it seems they are scamming customers a few extra bucks. Been trying various local places along the Long Beach train line. Newish to the area (moved her during the pandemic for a guy. Recently ditched the guy but like the place!). I don't drive and was at a place in lynbrook that said to try this place out. Was in maybe 2 weeks ago after a September summer like day where we hit the beach, food was good, we ate at the bar. Female bartender was skis, lazy and only seemed to care about what I assume are her regulars. We had to keep asking for drinks. I liked their draft menu, tried a few good ipas. We diced to do dots before we closed our tab: they mess with their bottles. Zero chance what was in my shot glass was Tullemore dew (friend said the same). Don't waste your $. Stopped in to see a friends band and decided to have some munchies. Ordered the charcuterie board and the greek flat bread, both were bad. The charcuterie board had three slices of Proscutti, a few slices of chorizo, mozzerella and brie. Some kind of strange bread that we couldn't identify, some nuts and raisins, nothing worked together. The greek flatbread was basically salad on flat bread, uncut, with some strip of chicken and some minor dressing, no taste at all, and green olives. I love going to Shore House for a football game. They have a bunch of tvs and food/drink specials on football Sunday. During the fall, I crave a good pumpkin beer and some bar food. My fav item to recommend would be the jumbo bavarian pretzel. It's so salty and delicious and the cheese is great too. The vibes are great whether you're sitting outside with the tvs, at the bar, or at a table. The staff is always so friendly and I've been there when they were pretty short staffed one day and still received great service with smiles on everyone's faces. read more

The food was so good! Thoroughly enjoyed the brussel sprouts and half chicken. The cherry sauce was amazing! The drinks were great too. Loved our server and sitting outside in great weather was fun and very entertaining for people watching. Seems like there is some weird targeted reviews on here. 4 of us went in on Sunday, January 15th to watch all 3 NFL Wildcard Football Games. I stayed there for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Bar Owner Berney was also the Bartender. He is a gentleman and runs a very nice spot. The Waitresses, Kelly and Meagan were 2 of the nicest servers you ever did meet! If anyone ever says a bad word about either of them they are LYING and don't trust the rest of their review+ The Bar guests are very nice people. Zero rowdiness and all very polite people. The food menu is plentiful with choices for everyone. We all enjoyed everything! With all the Sports Bars in Long Beach this spot is aces because of great food, great staff, great patrons, great beer selection and great location of televisions so you can view TV's from any seat in the house! After a day at the beach My gal pal and I tried to get a cold brew and a drink. I stopped at a bar but I got no service so we left and stumbled into this bar. This bar was busy. We got service right away. My gal pal ordered a Tito vodka and cranberry and I ordered a beer on the tap. We each had 3 drinks each. The strange thing was that the third drink the glass and my pint glass was smaller. Lol. They said they ran out of glasses. Smaller drinks same price lol. The people next to us said we should ask for a discount. Lol. I didn't try the food. Maybe next time but The kitchen looked very busy. Good vibe. Good service. We will be back. read more

Had dinner at the Shore House last night (Tuesday), and it was wonderful. The cocktails were great, service was great, the wraps (I had the southern fried chicken wrap and Ron had the Ahi Tuna wrap) were deeeeelicious, and a visit by that handsome manager, Bernie, added to a really terrific dining experience. Oh, and lest I forget, if you want to try what I consider to be the absolute best chocolate moouse cake on this planet, order it at the Shore House. After walking the Long Beach boardwalk from end to end my wife and I ventured into the Shore House on a whim around 1:30PM on a Thursday afternoon. We were promptly greeted by AC our bartender and server. He definitely made us feel welcomed. My wife is fussy about trying new things and AC recommended a beer from a local micro brewery to try. AC even provided a tasting sample too. Both of us wound up getting the selection AC recommended. We were glad we did. My wife got the grilled chicken sandwich and I had the shore burger. Both were executed well and very tasty. Could not ask for more. We are definitely going to revisit when we get a chance. read more

Took my wife there on 5/27/21 and the service was horrible the waitress/bartender is the worst. Asked for juice for my daughter who is 17 months she made the juice and placed it on the bar and told my wife "her is her juice" so my wife had to get up and get it. This is absolutely unacceptable and the way she dropped the food on the table was unacceptable as well. Be she had no problem taking shots and laughing with the patrons at the bar. I'm trying my best not to believe her horrible customer service was because we are African American. We tried to find a nice place to frequent because we are residents of the neighborhood and I thought this would be it after to magnificent service that Sunday but I doubt I ever go back. read more

Went here for my birthday last night. Patty took great care of us. She was attentive, so sweet, and pleasant!! We started with the pretzel which was so soft and the beer cheese was delicious! My mom and I ordered the steak tidbits. The steak was delicious! My mom got onion rings on the side, she said they were so fresh! I ordered the waffle fries on the side which are my favorite and they were so good! My boyfriend got a salad which looked so fresh and the wings which looks so good (no breading) which he wanted! Everything came out so hot and fresh! We will defiantly be back again! I called and asked if they had a table outside and they held it for us for about 10 minutes. Came here on a Friday night for the first time since it was one of the few places in the area with outdoor dining. The staff was friendly and our food and drinks came out quickly. The drinks were very good but the food was so-so. Their truffle fries were exceptional, but the fish and chips and penne alla vodka were nothing special. I'd consider stopping in for a drink next time I'm in the area but would likely skip the food. read more

we sere served by our hostess quickly. That is the high point. servers walked by for close to 10 minutes until I had to stop one and ask if anyone was going to wait on us. She apologized and left to see if anyone was waiting on us. about 5 minutes later she came back and took our drink and food order. We again waited and had to ask where our drinks were and she again left us looking flustered and went to get our beverages. Now with dinner- my wife and I had our food but my daughter and her boyfriend did not get there food served. Thinking that it was coming out in a few seconds- we waited to eat. minutes again went by and I had to stop the server and ask where the food was, she walked back and now it seemed that the servers and hostess were in a state of confusion. The server came back and told us that my daughters and boyfriends order was never put in. I was ready to leave then. well- eventually there food was brought out, and I asked for the bill. Thinking that they would take something off for the total failure of a dining experience, but nothing was taken off as an act of good faith. A totally horrible experience. Went in for dinner and drinks. Could not execute the simplest of bar food. "Signature cocktails" were horrible and tasted like bottom shelf liquor.
