The service here was great even tho it was very packed out (7pm on a Friday tho so expected). Although it was very loud for a sit down dinner the vibe and aesthetic in there is so fun. My blueberry cocktail was 10/10 and I can't wait to go back and try other drinks. The cheesesteak was pretty good, the bread fell apart from the juices so it was very difficult to eat and also I did not taste the truffle at all which is a big reason I chose it. Otherwise it was still pretty good and I would come back and try new things here! read more

I'm so glad this place opened up on Long Beach, it's such a great addition to the neighborhood, such great vibes, beautiful decor, cocktails are amazing and the food! Omg. So delicious. The scallops were to die for, heirloom carrots so tasty and the triple cooked fries--All so so good. I'm gonna be dreaming about those scallops for weeks. The service was also above and beyond, special shout out to Gerber and Amanda for making us feel so special. And did I mention it was the opening weekend? Visited the Merrow a handful of times for cocktails with friends, always sitting at the bar. Love the ambiance inside and the bartenders are great! Their cocktails are always delicious and while pricey (it's a cocktail bar, so price is justified), the taste is well worth the cost. Only food I've had was the buffalo cauliflower which was delicious. Definitely want to stop by one night for dinner. read more

Everything was absolutely amazing. From the amazing service, to the drinks and food, this is a great place that you want to go to. The short rib macaroni and cheese was delicious and every bite got better and better. I also got the chicken sandwich which was cooked to perfection and tasted spectacular. They offered a wide variety of delicious handcrafted cocktails and mocktails to ensure inclusivity to everyone's circumstances. I wanted to try it out because good looking young people seem to be hanging out there. Must be different night life scene since it was the Whales Tail (although similar decor). Lots of veggie dishes... menu seemed good. Apps were on point. Lemon pasta dish was a disaster, pasta in lemonade, no idea what they were thinking. Burger was meh and the bun soggy like wet TP. They blew the burger- should be the easy part. Big dessert guy and they had brownie a-la-mode. Waited forever for it- they burned the brownie and still sent it out. Unfortunate. read more

Frequent visitor of the merrow since opening day. Recently lost a loved one and tried to enjoy dinner here. In our moment of joy during our sorrowful time we were told by a bartender staff that my party of three was being too loud and to quite down. The bartender came to our table; while we were laughing, to tell us we were "being to loud" A restaurant that blast music and known for their bar atmosphere, we thought we would enjoy fonder family memories and were extremely disappointed. Our waitress and other guests did not seem to notice our disturbance when we asked for our check to leave. Our waitress, unaware of the situation until we notified her, was pleasant and gave us our check. Extremely disappointed with the situation. read more

Horrible experience, we were waiting 2 hours for a table!!!!!! When we arrived at 5:45, we told the hostess that it was my best friend's birthday and asked if was a table open; both hostesses said yes, and that they had to clean first and then give us the table, so we decided to wait at the bar when the table is open. After an hour and some tables were available, the hostess started to sit with other people that arrived at the restaurant; we asked what was going on, and she said we had to wait. After two hours!!!! She said that the table was open and was taken by a best friend of the house...... they should tell us before don't wait! or they were busy, but they still kept us there that the table would be open soon ‍ We went there because it is a new restaurant and we want a support small businesses but was horrible. read more

The Merrow is the newest restaurant in the West End of Long Beach and it's an excellent addition! Stopped in for lunch; I had a burger and my friend had the chicken sandwich ... both came with crispy seasoned fresh cut fries. We both loved our dishes! The Merrow is in the space that was The Whales Tale but once you walk in the door it's unrecognizable from its old days. Top to bottom it has been renovated with the most artfully designed woodworking on the bar and booths. Everywhere your eyes go there's something lovely to look at. Velveteen studded stools pull up to the bar and next to each one under the bar's counter is a hook for a bag and a plug for phone charging! The service was top notch, the seating cozy and comfortable and the entire menu looks really great... not so much typical bar food! The young couple who own The Merrow have outdone themselves to add a great dining experience amidst the bars of the West End. Please pay them a visit ... even if you just stop in for a drink. I can't wait to go back to have dinner! read more

Great atmosphere. We had 2 awesome drinks - 1 Bleedin' Tropic and 1 Watermelon Drank, they were so good. Started off with the wagyu beef sliders, truffle fries, and crispy brussel sprouts all freakin' amazing. Then had scallops and the lamb lollipops. Service was top notch. 10/10.
