I had my son because he was on February break. Getting family babysitting which is free and the only way I can manage babysitting has been scarce lately with my sister having her third baby, my dad and my other sister having been putting all hands on deck to help her and I understand but it means I have to bring my 7 year old to stuff like this if I can. Another one of my girlfriends and the guy I'm hanging out with also came along to see the show. My son was happy, he had a huge pretzel, soda and mostly played on his phone at the end he laughed along with everyone else when the last comic came on to perform. He seemed to be a fan of the soda, and the pretzel and playing on his phone. I got the charcuterie board. It was half and half. The crackers they served the cheese with was okay, I liked the nuts, I liked one of the cheese selections, the dried fruit was good. I ended up sharing it. I've heard there is karaoke here, I like the atmosphere and maybe one day I'll get here for the karaoke.

This is clearly a local bar - it seemed everyone knows everyone. Randomly, you can gamble on horses and on quick draw. For $10, the quick draw game provided us a half hour of entertainment (and $4 of winnings.. or, said another way, a $6 loss). So, we were certainly a bit overdressed, but everyone was so friendly, it was not awkward or uncomfortable at all. The beers are unique - from Blood Orange Ale to Apricot to your standard Bud Heavy in a bottle. And, since it was happy hour, every beer cost $3.50. I do not think we could have found a better deal. It's clean, and unlike most bars, it seems they actually use a dishwasher for the dishes. Random location, but a cool hang out, at least if you're trying to pass the time before a wedding at Bridgeview.

It was loud, slightly unruly, and some patrons were friendly while others were a bit out there, all things you'd come to expect at a bar on St Patrick's Day. They were perfectly battered, crispy, and clearly used some thickly cut onions (which IMHO, is one of the keys to a great onion ring). The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, with darker lighting, exactly what you want when you're enjoying drinks at a bar. They're always busy during the summer with visitors, but I've also noticed that locals pack the place in the off-season. That alone says a lot. I absolutely loved the barramundi francese and the onion soup pork chop, both were delicious. And I have to mention the mashed potatoes.
