We only knew of this place as being a crowded, busy watering hole since the last time we were here, it was Irish Day, which is a HUGE, loud, partying event in this part of town and The Inn was wall-to-wall filled with revelers then. At this visit, we had the whole 2-floor restaurant to ourselves. Service was slow but friendly. A few people came in later & you could tell that The Inn is a comfortable, neighborhood kind of place. Our meals of Chicken parmesan and mango shrimp tacos were excellent. We are glad that The Inn has multiple personalities and we will be back for its excellent food. read more

Came here to celebrate a friend's bday. It was $60 a head for open bar. As people paid they were given bracelets. I am sober. The management wouldn't let me up without paying the $60. I had to pay $60 to drink water so I could wish my friend happy bday. Terrible. read more

Fell in here to listen to a band. We were hungry. The menu looked good so we ordered. Lobster roll- was good- a little too shredded and a bit too much mayo but was def decent. Decent roll. Good fries. Steak tidbits on garlic bread with mozzarella cheese. Yummy delicious. Was my favorite choice. Fish tacos. Whiting broiled. To begin with our dinner we were treated with a soda shower as the waitress spilled coke all over the table, accident happen yes, but they then proceeded to mess up orders, and had no mushrooms. Thursday Raw Bar night is FANTASTIC. We love sitting around the large square bar so everyone can talk while we enjoy the amazing Sea food specials. I must say the mussels are the way to go!. Extra Garlic Bread...YES, please. For the last 2 Thursdays Christie (I hope I spelled the name correctly) has been our bartender and she was 10 on a 10 scale. It had been some time since I tried the food at The Inn. I am local and really knew it as a bar with reasonable food. A friend had mentioned that their wings were great so, after not being able to order from 2 restaurants, I gave them a shot for delivery. I was really impressed. The Inn somehow figured out how to send a delivery that included fries and onion rings and get it to us hot and crisp. Anyone who has ordered food knows that soggy fries and oily fried food are the norm with delivery. Beyond that the food was really good. Everyone in my group had a positive comment about their meals. I heard "I would go back just to get the cobb salad". I heard "The steak tidbits were great." By the way, the wings were good but in truth the rest of the food was better. I had the Mahi Mahi tacos. They did make a mistake and send a flour tortilla instead of the corn that I ordered but really my food was excellent. Great job by The Inn. The inn is a great local spot in Long Beach! Ordered buffalo wings and pesto rigatoni tonight! We chose take out but the bar area was packed. It exceeded my expectations... there were a generous amount of wings and and rigatoni! I will definitely be back to try more of their dinner options. read more

Well my Ice was cold.... That's about where the good part ends. We had just wanted to pop in for something quick before hitting the beach for an summer evening concert and thought The Inn would be a good fast choice.... Wrong. Our order was simple enough, the fried calamari was absolutely frozen and had the consistency of a dry rubber band and the flavor that I'm having a hard time describing.... Something along the lines of iodine flavored cardboard? The steak sandwich which in my opinion is hard to mess up was just that messed up. Instead of slices of steak on a roll, it was two hunks of steak, overcooked, touch and not easy to bite into...Flavorless and extremely tough. On a saving grace note our waitress was polite and attentive so she saved a star for the place. Overall not a good choice if your looking for a quick bar/pub style bite. There's definitely better choices in LB if that's what you're in the mood for. read more

Still the best bar food in the West End, or quite possibly all of Long Beach in my opinion. The Inn never disappoints if you're looking for a solid burger or even some tasty boneless buffalo wings. The wait staff is always exceptionally pleasant and they're great with accommodating children if you sit upstairs. My family (dad, uncle, husband) all love going to the Inn and sitting at the bar. When the weather starts to perk up, so do the parties. Long Beach is my summer go-to spot, and I usually hang out at the same places when I'm in the area, so on this trip it was nice to branch out from the norm and party down with the locals. I really love that this bar has an actual stage, and the band that was playing that night, 3am Tokyo(??) was really good. They did great pop-rock covers and did a mixed power hour. Like older establishments, the layout can be a bit odd, especially in this case where to walk to the back to visit the restrooms you kinda have to cut in the middle of the dance/floor/at least where people are hanging out because there's a place to set your drinks down. The bar didn't seem to have any coat hooks under the ledge, which we were a bit miffed about since the weather isn't warm enough to forego a jacket. In addition, the taps for the bar are only on one side (it's a square shape with floor-to-ceiling middle with the registers), so I couldn't see what beer they had on tap from one side. The selection ended up not being much and in the spirit of brevity and trying not to waste anyones time, I ordered hastily and well, what I got was medicority. read more

Anthony & Ashley)and good clientele, I always gravitate towards the main bar in the front but it's nice that they have the back bar and also an upstairs bar more seating, the flat screens are all over for your favorite games and the food is actually pretty decent as well, summertime is always nice where everybody & anybody is sitting outside people watching, The Inn has been around for years and I'm sure they will last my lifetime serving the community fine food, spirits and smiling faces abound:) read more

He said "$35 dollars". We told him we were ordering food to go. He then replied "kitchen is closed". I was looking at my wAtch. As far as atmosphere it's your typical bar but nice and spacious. I'm not your typical bar girl so maybe I'm going to give a biased review. The only reason I frequent this place is for the "Seafood Thursdays". They have $.99 oysters, clams shrimp, and they also have $5.99 mussel bowls, and clam bowls. Last but not least $3 miller lights. If you go to this joint mid season with the expectation that you're going somewhere people will get out of your way so you can get to the bar for your fancy martini or glass of champagne, and the waitress will give you a 5 star meal, you're gona be sorely disappointed. if you're down with a live band, a DJ, and a crew of: extra drunk, middle drunk and on their way to getting drunk chicken heads and frat boys, hit the inn up. Its exactly what you would think it is. Leave your pride at the door and stick to the beer unless you hit the back bar and the irish dude is working (if you're nice to him, he has a heavy hand). I must say, I've spend most of my summers in Long Beach and The Inn is the only bar I will never get sick of! I am a huge fan of the live band they have performing on the weekends. The crowd is very laid back, everyone is out to have a good time. I love it when the bartenders let stacks of napkins go flying :) As a restaurant, I've never eaten here except during the summer for their infamous taco tuesday nights... they weren't that great... but I went to hang out, not for the food, which I'm sure is why a majority of people go.
