I am not sure why this place have so high ratings. I don't think they are particularly good. For a straightforward procedure, they come up with a complex treatment plan. Each visit is like a repeat of the last with minimal progress. It is frustrating to book so many appointments and still need more treatment for simple cavity.... We are covered by insruance, but it also takes time to bring the kids to see them. maybe they only care about getting more money from the insurance. read more

Beware - even after providing insurance information and they verifying it, they require you to give them your social security number. They do not tell you this or review your previous forms until your appointment so you either have to hand over your SSN or pay $125 cancellation fee. They are not up front with why they need this even after they have your insurance information and you have signed over consent for financial liability. Our experience at Shoreline Kids Dentistry was disheartening. When we respectfully made a very reasonable ADA (disability) accommodation request around masking, they cancelled our kids' appointments and went so far as to even drop my kids as clients, claiming we weren't a "good fit". read more

I've been bringing the kids here for about a year. I really appreciate there attention to kids and there caring. The large room w/ two chairs the kids can watch movies and be in the same room together. I appreciate that I can keep an eye on my twins and am there if they need me. The staff is great. Always friendly. I only go 4 out of 5 stars due to our last visit. My son was being really good, from what I could see, but was having issues keeping his tongue down. I could hear the dental hygienist getting frustrated and I would expect people used to dealing with kids to keep there cool a little better. It wont change me coming back though. We have been seeing Dr. Tung and her staff for about 2 years now for our 2 year old and 4 year old. They are very deserving of the high praise and 5-star reviews being left on their business page. The office is located in a mixed-use building. There is ample parking and reserved spaces for the practice. The office itself is nicely set up with both private rooms as well as chairs in more open spaces. The waiting area is very child-friendly. Additionally above each procedure chair, there is a monitor built into the ceiling so that your child can watch a movie of their choosing. After the visit, children are given a token (or two) to chose a prize from the prize wall. If it is your child's first visit to the dentist, they also commemorate it with a picture that you get to take home. It's super cute! Dr. Tung and her staff are amazing! They promote good dental hygiene in a very positive and reinforcing way. They are super nice and accommodating, and really cater their treatment and care to their patients. I.e. for my sometimes shy and high-anxiety kids, they allow me to sit with them or next to them as needed, and are super patient with them! We once had to call the office on a day when they were closed due to a dental emergency. After leaving a message on their machine, Dr. Tung returned our call promptly to triage the situation. After communicating on the phone and via text, it was determined that our child needed to be seen. Dr Tung made arrangements to come into the office later that day to further asses the situation and provided us great peace of mind. She is amazing! I highly recommend this practice! read more

Dr.Tung is the best! We switched from a kids dentistry near Lynnwood about a few mins away from home... staff and doctor at the previous place gave gave us the wrong vibe. This place is amazing! Awesome staff, super fun environment, completely kid friendly! I brought my 9 year old in a couple months ago -- he was having a lot of anxiety leading up to the visit, but left asking how soon he gets to come back. He is also taking better care of his teeth and flossing regularly. Dr. Diane was awesome with him, explained everything she was doing, and was very patient with him and all of his questions. This past weekend was my 2 year old's turn at the dentist. Again, a great experience -- the whole staff just know how to talk to kids of all ages. My daughter loved her prizes, and her new toothbrush, but most of all she was excited about having her picture taken and getting "sparkles" (fluoride) on her teeth. The office is new and very clean, and I love the decor. But more than anything I appreciate the attention to detail and planning that went into this place. You can tell that Dr. Diane thought of everything. My son has special needs and is easily over-stimulated. Every other dentist we have been to places a tray of tools right in front of his face and expects him to hold still -- but here the tray of tools is behind the chair, so my son never even saw it. While this probably isn't a big deal for most kids and families, this made a huge difference in how his visit went. My only complaint is that only my kids get to go here, and not me!!! read more

Absolutely fantastic care from Shoreline Kids Dentistry! My kids had a bad experience with a previous dentist and so it took a lot of teeth (pun intended) to get my children to even entertain the thought of going to the dentist. The staff here worked with my children and explained and Wales them through every step of the way. Even when two of my children needed extensive work including removal of teeth they never once felt that it was bad. Now they look forward to going back to the dentist!! read more

I think my 2.5 year old thought she was going to disneyland when she has her visit here :) Everyone is so sweet and welcoming. The dentist was great at explaining everything to my daughter and there are lots of fun extras like a TV on the ceiling with kid shows, a prize wall, stickers, a t-shirt - they even gave my daughter a valentine since we were there around vday, sent her a little card after our visit and took her picture so we have a "first dentist" photo keepsake. I have 2 extremely shy kids and figured we would be in the dentist office, they would say my kids were too shy, and say better luck next time (as has happened at our previous dentist in another city). This is not even close to what happened. My kids were all over the place and they even got X-rays of my son's teeth (first time! Yay!). My little one really wanted to get past her shyness, and she did just enough to get checked out and have her teeth cleaned. What an amazing dental office and staff. My one year old just had his first dental appointment and I think I had more fun than he did! Dr. Tung and Karen were so informative, patient, and genuinely caring about my son's health. They told me that if at any time my son gets super upset and I want to stop the exam, that I can do so. Even though my little one was crying and didn't stay still, they didn't push it to make me feel uncomfortable. They gave him stickers and let him hold some toys to keep his hands busy to prevent him from using his hands to fight the exam. They gave me lots of tips, told me about developments to anticipate, and allowed me lots of opportunities to answer questions. We got a free ducky for our first visit and a t-shirt! Dr. Tung and all the staff at Shoreline Kids Dentistry are so awesome! I had to take my daughter there today to get her first filling. She's 5 years old. It went as smoothly as it possibly could. They have a TV on every ceiling above the chair so the kids can watch a movie during the appointments. They have a wide variety of current kids movies and my daughter was thrilled. They also have iPads in the waiting area for kids to play on with other large TV's with movies on. The office is extremely clean and professional. When it comes to the actual procedure everyone there was top notch. They go really slow and take time to explain everything to the kids. They allow the kids to touch and investigate all the tools they'll be using that day. All the while being extremely sweet and gentle. They never use any scary words like 'drill' or 'shot' . They have replacement words that make it seem fun. The entire filling only took about 20 minutes to complete with a beautiful white filling that you can't even see. I don't think my daughter has any idea that she got a shot and was drilled on. That for me is a win! The office has a great peaceful vibe and nothing feels scary or threatening. I can't recommend them enough! While we were leaving my daughter was hanging out playing and didn't want to leave. That alone speaks volumes about this place! I don't recall ever wanting to hang out in a dentist office as a kid! Thanks Dr. Tung and all the staff! First time today. Amazing experience. My two year old usually needs some warm up time even at the playground, but they made her feel so comfortable that by the time they were done, she didn't want to leave. They gave us a tour first, showed us their awesome and clean waiting area, toy vending machines, and took a picture for a first time visit memory with their logo bear. It was beyond my expectations. I wish all doctor visits were this comforting and relaxing. The Doctor was great with my daughter and so were the staff. My daughter has a cavity that will be treated in the upcoming weeks. Feel confident they'll take good care of her teeth. Looking forward to future visits. Very friendly hygienist and really knows how to work with kids. Highly recommend this place to any parents.
