I asked if a filling can be done they advised me against it. shortly after our 6 month check up my son began to complain about extreme pain. when I brought him in they advised they can only sedate the patient & extract. I asked if a pulpotomy could be done they said no. in my professional opinion they did not do any of the other procedures (which were much less invasive) because state insurance only pays for prevention. its unfortunate the insurance doesn't pay but this is malpractice & needs to be investigated. If I could prevent one child from losing a tooth & pain from this review that would be great! I was in dental for 10 years & am fully aware of procedures & insurance

She then admitted no one actually tried to contact me the day before. She said the doctor was out with Covid and they needed to reschedule to April. I told her my sons in pain can we at least take care of the tooth that's bothering him this month. She kept saying she needed to talk to the doctor and couldn't give me an answer until next week. I let her know how unprofessional it is to call someone an hour before a procedure when my son hadn't eaten and I kept him from school and now I get no other options but to make him wait longer. I found a place that could get him in the next day so I asked this office for the X-rays and notes. On the email she put here's mason's progress notes. My son is not named mason. I asked for the rest of the info she said when she cancelled the appointment yesterday it deleted it. So they canceled his appointment the day before but called me the day of, unprofessional. Then when I told them I was going elsewhere she magically could get my son in on Saturday! She said the doctor remembers "her" and we can have "her" come in on Saturday. I said my son is a boy. She replies that she was new and didn't look at the file. Even though this is the same person I spoke to back in January when I brought my daughter here, so she cannot be that new. Regardless with all the errors I chose to go somewhere else who was able to help my son without general on the same day as his exam.

The hygienist Anna was rough when she took photos of my teeth and performed the cleaning. When I made "ouch" sounds and clearly signaled her that she had hurt my gum, she didn't even apologize or try to be more careful. Then the hygienist told me that I had more than 10 cavities even before the dentist showed up to look at my X ray. I was surprised because I have not had any cavities for over 10 years and during this time I have seen 3 different dentists. When the dentist came, Anna told him I had 10 cavities and he confirmed it. I questioned how could I develop 10 cavities within a year since my last exam. He explained the X ray can detect more cavities than what we can see with bare eyes, but he didn't show me where the 10 cavities were on the X ray. At the end of my visit, the hygienist Anna printed me a "treatment plan" of 5 appointments for fillings, and $1,040 out of pocket after insurance payment. I didn't trust this dentistry and decided to switch. I visited a dentist office in Edmonds today and had an exam and cleaning. The dentist office received my last X ray image from Bright 32 and took additional x ray images. They reviewed both with me and said I had very healthy teeth. The hygienist said I do a good job cleaning my teeth and my dental clean appointment was short and easy. I found the "Treatment Plan Estimate" from Bright 32 last year and I wonder how much money they made from patients and insurance companies when no treatment was needed. Stay away!

I did not feel the cleaning I got here was done very well, and a follow up six months later seemed to confirm that, because the second hygienist felt that there was tartar that was old that should have been removed previously. The hygienist here outlined an extensive treatment plan without explaining anything at all about what was actually wrong. I had gone for what I expected to be a routine appointment with no symptoms. I asked a lot of questions and got better information, but they should have provided the diagnostic information first. You shouldn't have to ask for that and then have to continue to ask questions to drag the information out of them. The treatment plan was very aggressive, and of course, very expensive - nearly $10,000, and that was only "Phase 1." I was told there would be a phase 2 and that it would be even more expensive, but we didn't get far enough for an actual quote on that. I was given a lot of push back when asking about more conservative approaches. I saw two other dentists for additional opinions and they both felt that I could do nothing and the risk of the problems getting worse would be very small. One of them felt that Dr. Brenner's plan was reasonable but more aggressive than necessary and the other felt that it was inappropriately aggressive. If you're someone who likes to take the most aggressive option and is not concerned about costs, this guy might be ok. I acknowledge that there is an upside to aggressive treatment - there is a small risk my situation could get worse with more conservative measures. Aggressive treatment would mean spending a lot of money up front but eliminating that risk. Also, he does not do even simple extractions - he has his brother do them, which seems kind of weird. I've never had a general dentist who couldn't do simple non-surgical extractions. And the brother has had DOH disciplinary action taken against him. Overall impression is that this practice is excessively profit-driven.
