Our 2013 C250 had been to AutoNation with a U0100 code but they didn't fix the problem and wanted $434 (1.5 hours labor) to diagnose the problem again. We called Merc Werks based on the reviews here on Yelp. McKenzie told us other owners of this car had the same problems and there was a class action lawsuit. We brought the car in they found the steering lock was bad. We had this part replaced as new, the transmission mounts which were collapsed, and sway bar links for a fraction of the cost of the dealer. McKenzie even processed our claim through Endurance (didn't pay much) but she tried. Other shops don't even bother with insurance because it's a lot of time spent on hold. McKenzie was a service advisor in the past and knows her stuff. Ralston is a wiring expert and will find the problem. This shop is the real deal and now we can keep the C250. read more

The whole concept or an "honest mechanic" let alone a "reliable" one is such a foreign notion these days. I can only say that Ralston and his team have been both of these, and consistently. I bring my 380SL from Miami because they fix and maintain my vehicle with care, communication and are always beyond fair with price. my car had a slow oil leak, drops of oil each day. I took it two other mechanics. The first one advised me the oil leak would be impossible to determine and also costly. best to leave as is. The second mechanic informed me the repair could run betweeen $3000 to $5000. Disspointed by these two evaluations, I decided to seek a third opinion. Thank God I did. Afraid of independent shops? Fear no more! Found him online after reading a bunch of positive reviews from other satisfied Benz owners. All I can say is I'm glad I did! Fair prices, and expert workmanship. The owner is a former MB dealership shop foreman, and celebrity car repairer', not to mention owns a modded C36AMG, that will blow the tailpipes off of most new S/C'd V8's. Had him work on my CLK430, and then MY SL55, he respected my request to not scratch up the newly powdercoated finish on my rims, as well as talked me out of an unnecessary service (changing a particular fluid I'd read on the forums I should). If & when I need maintenance or repair service again, this is where I'll be going. read more

Found these guys through AAA. They are a family owned business. First, when a shop tells you not to do a particular work done because its just a waste of money, you can bet on it that they are as honest as it gets. I came for a tranny service and oil change. Wanted some other things done in the future but they said no dont do it because its really not needed. where can you find a shop that actually refuses your money? These guys are the best in my opinion. Honest and trustworthy. They took me in without an appointment, finished the car in a few hours and even washed it! Even though I have found that when Consumer Reviews on YELP are 5 stars, the business is great, I am initially skeptical with car repair places but Merc-Werks is actually a 6 Star!!! First and foremost, they have the same Mercedes repair and diagnostic machines and they mirror service and repairs with that of the manufacturer so you are NOT missing any steps, checks, tests or service items but at 1/3 of the cost!!!! Second, they were all trained by and worked for Mercedes for many years. They walk it and sleep the Mercedes expertise! Not pretenders but the real deal! They explain things in advance (without the pressure) and their estimates and invoices itemize everything. Plus recommendations are specific and in writing. They don't pad the invoices or their recommendations with things not needed. They are not defensive when you ask questions but seem to welcome questions and the ability to help you get the most out of your Mercedes experience without over spending. The actual bill is to the penny the estimate and wait time to the minute stated! That in itself is remarkable! (I knew it was going to be great when I was greeted at the front door by the friendly, calming look of their wise old dog curled up by the desk!!! Dogs know good people instinctively! Find a man (and woman) who love and take care of their dog, and you will find that same love and passion in what they do!!! BEWARE OF CARELESS WORK BY UNPROFESSIONAL ARROGANT MECHANICS!! First let me state that I went to these guys several times for work on my 2015 S550 so this isn't just a one-off rating. But I reached my end when after the first work they did for me they replaced my alternator and I immediately noticed the power was down and the gas mileage was off and the cooling fans were screaming after a half hour drive. I called them that day and he rudely told that he did everything perfectly and it's just my car's problem they only replaced the alternator. Well in replacing the alternator he had to remove the auxiliary coolant pump that cools the turbo charge air intake and more importantly cools the transmission fluid. The lead mechanic didn't fill the coolant tank to the top and told me the car will give me an alarm if it's low, BUT AFTER MONTHS OF NO ALARMS, it had actually starved the auxiliary coolant pump and thus the power was down, gas mileage was off, but worse my transmission was overheating constantly causing the fans to scream trying to cool it down. AND NONE OF IT CAUSES AN ALARM LIGHT. In addition they changed my battery and I watched the mechanic throw my trunk panels on the floor and he scraped my bumper putting the battery in -sloppy work. Told me $111 for pulley change work, but since I bought my own OEM pulleys and tensioner and they couldn't overcharge for the parts, that turned into $558. I GAVE THEM A CHANCE TO CURE THE COOLANT PUMP ISSUE THAT WAS CONFIRMED BY A MERCEDES MECHANIC AND AGAIN AN ARROGANT REFUSAL, NOW I HAVE TO PAY $780 TO FIX THEIR CRAP CARELESS WORK! read more

If you own a Mercedes Benz, need service or repairs, and are beyond your new car warranty, do yourself a favor and take it to Merc-Werks first. You and your Mercedes will be well taken care of by Rolsten and Mackenzie. They are extremely knowledgeable and actually know how to repair components rather than just bolt on new parts for the old, which is so often done these days even when unnecessary. They charge about half the price of dealerships for their time and zero for diagnostics. The dealer wanted to charge me about $ 360.00 for what they call diagnostics before they even start with a repair; and the problem was pretty obvious.
