I never woke/wake up feeling sore and he adjusts his approach based on how my body reacts, my schedule and diet. To put this into perspective, during my first session I was sick because I was so out of shape. I worked hard, but push-ups, lunges and the other exercises were too much. Now, during my workouts with Shon I am doing 100 push-ups in various positions, work out with weight that I never thought I'd be able to lift and push my body hard to feel great. The results have had an amazing impact on my body, family life and work because I'm motivated with lots of energy - while keeping my calories in check. I've been battling neck…read moreand back pain due to bulging discs, stress and working long hours for something like 15 years now. I have tried physical therapy, chiropractic adjustments, spinal decompression, massages, acupuncture, yoga, and pilates. Nothing gave me any real, lasting pain relief. After working with Shon for just a few weeks, my neck pain improved. After about three months, the pain had improved dramatically. I would say about 75% and the pain in my lower back is mostly gone. I'm beyond thrilled. On top of that, my posture is significantly better AND my body is changing. It's pretty amazing. And truly, Shon is awesome. He's so unbelievably knowledgeable. He has an incredible attitude. He's fun. He's focused and he basis each workout on me. How I'm walking, standing, moving, etc. This is so far from a cookie cutter, run of the mill workout. It's personalized and it's working. My expectations have been so far surpassed. I'm genuinely grateful. I just recently took a trip to Costa Rica. The trip endured a 6-hour flight and a 2.5-hour bumpy car ride on an unpaved road. I walked, swam and surfed! everyday. My neck was fine! I was elated. I still struggle with arthritis and lack of range of motion but my everyday pain is so much more manageable. I can not sing Shon's praises any higher. His workouts are actually fun, which isn't what most people think when they think about working out. I was looking for a trainer because with a job where I'm sitting all the time I needed to get back to being healthier and more tone and generally feel better physically. He keeps it interesting, he has exercises that work different body parts at once and challenges you at the same time. He keeps you moving the whole workout and is great at changing it up so you don't get bored. He's not the type of trainer to have you do 3 sets of anything, which is one of the things that I really appreciate about our workouts. I get bored with repetition, 3 exercises for 3 sets, ugh! But that's not how Tai works. I think I have only done two sets of an exercise and that's only happened once or twice. But he is also so knowledgeable. He's helped me with nutrition and food intake, along with what I should be doing on the days that I don't see him to see the best results. He understands that I don't have the time or commitment to eat paleo and do two-a-days, he understands that I want to implement fitness into my daily life and has helped me make a plan and goals that are realistic for me. I highly recommend Tai if you're looking for a really good trainer that really wants you to get better and reach your goals. I have so much more energy and am even able to run a little bit on my own. I look forward to our workouts and it helps that he is genuinely a really nice guy.
