Do not order on door dash the other reviews are correct. I had people over for the game and tried to order three items. My Dasher said two of the three were not available and I offered to have any brand any size any type of white wine of milk of sparkling wine within a very broad price bracket and the person at the counter told the Doordasher that he refused to offer alternatives for Doordash orders. Since Doordash allows alternatives and I have never seen anything like this in my life, I would never order from them again- extremely horrible customer service and my Doordasher told me the person in the store was extremely rude and mean to him. read more

I live in Baldwin Park and drive to TJ's. I liked this store until on Thursday March 19. 2020. This used to be my favorite store, I would stop by atleast once a day.that all changed one night when I came in the store and right when I walk in I hear one of the cashiers getting really angry and screaming on the phone to a customer. Then at the counter I ask him for a number on a scratcher I wanted To buy(I made sure I asked nicely Because I could clearly tell he was in a bad mood). So I go ahead and ask him and barks up at me "I DONT HAVE TO TELL YOU ANYTHIN OKAY!!!!!!"then proceeds to cus me out and follow me out of the store. Ignore all the bozo reviews! Been coming here for over 20+ years and ALWAYS have the best service. This has been a family business for years which was passed down to the son of the owner, he is one of the most kind individuals which will order products (specifically sodas / drinks) that I recommend to him and will have them stocked within a week. I've never been to a liquor store which genuinely seems like they care about the community / customers. All of the gentlemen that work at the counter are super funny, nice, and hard working. They can be slow at times as they get SUPER busy although these guys work long hours and make you feel welcomed in their store. Fast service, great products, even water refilling stations in here. Only liquor store that really has been looking out for the community by stocking the things we love. read more

Dishonest and unprofessional. Poor business practice. Bait & switch. I ordered a bottle of Macallan 17 on Delivery.com (retail $250) in the morning and get a call saying it's ready for pickup. I drive there a few hours later in the day to pickup which takes 30min due to traffic. When I get there, the guy says he doesn't have the Macallan 17 but willing to give a substitute bottle that retails for $190 (Glenfiddich 21). I decline and ask him why he would call me to say it's ready for pickup when he doesn't have it. He says he had a bottle this morning and the stock online isn't accurate. So I ask him if he had a bottle this morning, why wasn't it put on hold since I already ordered and paid for it. He says he sold it before I placed the order. So then I ask him why didn't he tell me on the phone that he sold the last bottle already it but instead have me drive 30min to be offered a cheaper substitute. He didn't have a solid answer and said this is normally what is done. If this is typical practice then it's extremely misleading, dishonest and they should be banned from selling anything online. I wasted my time and gas when a simple phone call saying they're out is simple enough. Having the audacity to offer a lower priced bottle in exchange and saying it costs more price is also unethical and a straight up lie. Now if they were to offer me the Macallan 21 on the shelf, it would've been a different story but he instead offered me something that I could get for less and much easier to find. I called Delivery.com myself to cancel my order because I don't trust them to do it. Long story short: they are liars so don't shop here if you can help it. read more

Apparently new ownership now? ============ Bad experience here today. I walk in looking for an ice-cream sandwich. And there is the cooler, with clearly posted prices. Ice cream sandwich: 99 cents. great. So I grab it, go to the counter, and the guy rings it up: $1.49. huh? Me: "It says 99 cents on the cooler." Guy: "No, it's $1.49." Me: "So the cooler is wrong?" Guy: [no response.] I walk over to the cooler to double check. I see that indeed the posted price is STILL 99 cents. I turn to look at the guy, from the cooler and say "It says 99 cents here." No response. Maybe he didn't hear me? I walk to the counter and he's sort of looking away. Me: "It says 99 cents on the cooler." Guy: [no response] Me: "Hello?" Guy: [no response] Me: "ok." So I put the ice cream sandwich back into the cooler and walk out. I don't know, you tell me. Is this cultural, where in other parts of the world it's perfectly fine to have one price posted on the shelf, and another at the till, and then not want to discuss it? Caveat emptor? Or perhaps the man is a lip reader, and can't hear me, so can only "hear" if he's looking at me? I don't give a damned about 50 cents--but being cheated? I still won't return to this store until I see the employee is gone. I firmly believe his actions were completely uncalled for and unprofessional. I have been coming in this store for years. A couple of days ago i came in with a scratcher ticket and a man of an Indian decent behind the counter took my ticket and with an attitude said to scratch the out the rest of the ticket which i did then he said that it was $10.00 so i put down $5.00 and asked for $15.00 worth. He then started to get mad and i told him that he did not need to yell. He then grab the scratcher that was in my hand and said "Get the hell out of here." When i was leaving he then said leave Dumb Ass. Then i came in today and he refuse to serve me and said go somewhere else. Awesome! people. This is a family owned store. Employees are always helpful to me. They even help carry out heavy stuff to the car, i never experience such in a convenient store. They have GR8 collection of Candies (including Novelty Candies) . Safe for kids to shop in this store. The other reason this my favorite place is they also carry variety of non-alcoholic beverages (Super cold). Not even Key market have such a big cooler like Shoreview Liq. EXCEPT one of the men there is in his 40s and often sells alcohol to minors, even heard him trying to persuade another young male to give him oral sexual favors for alcohol one time, disgusting.
