Located in the heart of North Fork on Long Island, we visited Rose Hill with a group of friends,…read moreand it did not disappoint! The grounds are quaint & beautiful, it feels like you're stepping into a home and gardens magazine. They have indoor and outdoor seating, if you have a well behaved furry friend, they are welcome outside. Inside and outside seating is the perfect place to sit back, unwind & order some wine. For our wine tasting I ordered a Summer Flight which consisted of white wines & rosé. My favorite was the Coalescense, we ended up getting two bottles to bring home with us. My husband got the Red Flight. We were more impressed with their white wines than the red, just our personal preference for grown in this area They also have some light bites to order, but we just stuck to wine for this visit. We definitely will be back to this little spot and maybe even stay in the inn, hopefully on a warm day so we can sit outside and spend some more time just taking in the tranquility of this little vineyard.

They recently won an award for one of their wines but that wine wasn't on the tasting menu. They were overwhelmed by the number of people and maybe they hadn't expected that crowd. We ended up leaving after waiting a while to be noticed so we never tried the wine :(

Jedediah Hawkins is not just a wedding venue and it's an amazing wedding as well! I would come here all day for lunch or dinner.the staff here is amazing and very attentive to making sure you're taking care of. The food here is too notch and some of the best food I have had in a long time. My in law had some finger food passed around and everything was flavorful & cooked to perfection. No frills or nothing fancy but flank steak skewers, chicken skewers, grilled shrimp, fried arancini rice balls, and truffle arancini balls were 10/10 and out this world. Steak & chicken was so tender and seasoned to perfection. This place is located in St. James and a little out of the way for me but I'm a def do a day trip where I'll hit a winery and have lunch here with the wife. I'm looking forward to seeing what their lunch and dinner menu looks like and definitely looking forward to having a steak here. Overall this place is a beautiful place to have your wedding with a great staff and amazing food. You will not be disappointed and what I love about this place, it's not over the top and reasonable prices for weddings. They offer different packages and very dope place.

The Preston Hotel - One Bedroom Suite

Concierge Alberto is the best!…read more I've never quite been to a hotel like this; while unassuming on the outside, the interior, contemporary, decor is really something else. All the facilities are extremely hi-tech. Even the 'Do not Disturb' notice is a touchscreen electronic gadget of sorts. Really cool. The Preston House has its own restaurant on the ground floor. Unfortunately for me-- during Christmas Day-- the hours were obviously curtailed, and I was unable to partake; but I mean, they have two different ramen bowls as part of the main menu? That's impressive, considering how hard I have to search for good ramen all the time. Again, pretty cool. Again, Alberto was a lifesaver, and managed to help me through all my demanding spa/pool questions. Once I arrived to the House, he remembered me from my phone call, and was happy to make extra accomodations being that I arrived early. He was also the last person I spoke with upon departure, but not before he saw that my complimentary breakfast was complete and satisfactory. Maybe things were quiet during Christmas, but I've never had such individualized service such as that Alberto provided. 3x really cool. I had to try really hard not to leave with the robes....maybe next time. A++ Maybe $50 a little too pricey per evening, but you check it out. I think every hotel is about $50 too pricey to be honest. You can't beat the location for town, and I would literally love to have a room here as a condo, without question. Thanks for reading; I owed it to Alberto, lol. Ciao

This hotel is overpriced for what it is and it is misrepresented as a hotel and restaurant on their…read morewebsite. The rooms are modern, clean and well kept but they are very sparsely furnished. The rooms are spacious but not many places to relax and sit comfortably. There is more than enough room for a small table with at least two club chairs, a bench in front of the bed, maybe even a loveseat but instead it's just big open flooring with a king size bed and one chair- not really anywhere for more than one person to sit comfortably. There is a fridge which is always nice to have and the staff was pleasant and attentive. A free breakfast was included, they served egg sandwiches, yogurt, fruit and pastries but still not worth a price tag of almost $475+ a night. The website also makes it seem like the restaurant is open and available to guests but is was completely shut down, which was very disappointing. Again the staff was nice and attentive, the rooms were clean but considering how much we paid and how underwhelming the stay was I think 3 stars is actually a generous review.
