A quaint hotel, restaurant and marina in Greenport, NY. A must stay for tourists visiting the area. It's close enough to the village you can walk or hang out by the pool during the summer. They are renovating rooms. Those they have done are beautiful. The area is quiet. Certainly a peaceful location to rest and relax. If you want to find something more lively you can walk or Uber to the village. Check out the local wineries while visiting the area. They all have such wonderful character. The owner of Townsend Manor Inn is a local, born and raised in Greenport. Scott has a wealth of knowledge of the area so feel free to ask him if you happen to bump into him. Otherwise the bartenders are great too! A must see/stay location in Greenport.

Super cute hotel on the water and very reasonably priced. Thank you for not price gouging. Had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend!

What a great and accommodating family run business. People will give us less stars really don't respect the nature of business this far out on the island. Conscientious and friendly owners really made a difference and accommodated us fantastically well. They've also been renovating the property which dates back to the 1800s. So be considerate and give them a thought when traveling in this area.

When booking the rooms the lady was very helpful over the phone. We booked two rooms. Was looking for a pleasant stay with nice staff. Check in time is 2p, we went a little early to checkin. The lady was extremely rude and told us check in was 2p and to come back. We came back, and she was still rude. We asked if we could put a hold on the room with a credit card like most hotels, not here. She handed over the keys and told us where to go. I wish I got her name.... We were in the gingerbread house, could tell it was out dated and both rooms were on the 2nd floor. Rooms were on small side but fine as we were not planning in being in the room much over the weekend. We received two keys to the room, both had the room number on the key however one was different and would not work...the shower was broken and we were unable to adjust. Luckily when we checked out, we got the pleasant lady... You get what you pay for, think about what you want and what you are looking for. It was a short walk to town, so there's that.

The Summer ball is a must do yearly (though, sadly it was canceled last year). And the piano bar is very cute and has friendly s. Everything at this place is beautiful, clean, and has amazing views. I'll include some photos of the facilities. I am very curious about staying here!

The location is beautiful, but the customer service consistently falls far below expectations. Many staff members make guests feel as though they are asking for a favor when requesting basic services, such as having the room cleaned. This has been my experience even when I have tipped generously and treated the staff respectfully. Occasionally, one or two employees show kindness and emotional intelligence, but the majority come across as dismissive and unwelcoming. After seven visits you are an "outsider" that has ruined their sanctuary. Even knowing some staff members by name, and greeting them appropriately I have never once heard, "Welcome back." Book this hotel for the location, but do not expect warm or attentive service. In my experience, Sound View has some of the worst customer service on the North Fork. They will treat you terribly. I can't wrap my head as to who is training the staff.

Tip: you can also get to Greenport from NYC via bus or LIRR train (three trains a day from Penn Station, $25 one-way, peak fare, 3 hour trip) or take the Cross Sound Ferry from New London CT, which we used to avoid bridge and LIE congestion, for about $67 with car and two adults.

Decorated perfectly everything is in soothing, serene, calming colors. Each room has it's own bathroom, she has many more rooms than other B&B's in the area and she doesn't require a 2 night minimum. The location is perfect too, a few blocks away from the main part of town, a 5 minute walk but in a quiet area.Prices in line with everyone else.
