Showed up yesterday like I told the gentleman, to pick up my 2 bottles of "smoke" waited until10:25, they never showed up to open. Not to mention. The 45 minute drive to get there, and I wasn't the only one. There were 3 other people waiting, 1 stayed, hopefully he got what he wanted. Never again will I go there.... What a shame..... read more

I have to say, I find the one star ratings and unfair reviews suspect. This store has one of the greatest selections of beer (domestic, imported and small batch) in the area. The guys there are very friendly, helpful and considerate. They will also give you a friendly and good natured ribbing from time-to-time. If you have thin skin then just pay and go home. The prices are reasonable as well. They also have a varied selection of whiskeys and bourbon along with all the other spirits. They also have "barrel" wine sales all the time. Amazing wines at ridiculously cheap prices. I highly recommend this very well stocked liquor store. Lastly, they play the greatest music. read more

This isn't about the selection, my husband said it was okay (so 3 stars for that), but about the awful behavior of the owner. I pulled into the designated store parking space on Sunday afternoon about 3pm, my husband jumped out, while I waited in the car with the our kids. About 2 minutes after he went in, a guy walked out from the store and headed into the Dollar Tree, he looked at me in the car and flicked me off. Super confused, as I was just sitting in the car waiting for my husband in the store. My husband is still in the store about 10 minutes later. Guy comes back out Of the Dollar Tree and heads back into the liquor store doors and gives me another dirty stare down look and flicks me off again. At this point, I actually took my seatbelt off and opened my door to go follow him and confront his rude and unnecessary bad behavior, because clearly he belonged to the store and had zero reason to say "f you" to me. Before I got to the door, my husband came out. I told him what happened, described the guy. He went back in to confirm and said it was the owner. Now I know my husband enough to know he went in to make sure we could just get on with our plans. But let's be real, I had every right to be parked there, as we were customers, and if we were not customers, grow up, and handle yourself and confront us in another way. I would never return to this store if this is how they act, low class and trashy, flipping people off. There are plenty of stores in the area between Minnetonka, Chanhassen, and Hopkins with better selections of beer and liquor and much better customer service that deserve our money. read more

Worst liquor store experience I've ever had was in this store. The owner and his sidekick Craig will openly mock and deride you if you have the audacity to ask about harder to find bourbon or whiskey. Even on their facebook page they make fun of customers that ask for hard to find options. Give me a break guys, you are in retail! Do you think Best Buy posts memes making fun of people that are looking for limited release Nintendos or other stuff people line up for and seek out? When they do occasionally get those bottles in they mark them up way above MSRP prices and follow the likely illegal practice of making you buy other things in order to have a chance to pay the inflated prices on the whiskey. On top of all that, if they do deem you worthy of paying above market price for a bottle they will OPEN the bottle they just sold you in the store so that you can't sell it or gift it to someone else. Hands down the best liquor store in the twin cities. If bourbon is your thing, don't expect Steve or any of the staff to produce a rare bottle for you on command. Steve, like many owners and bourbon enthusiasts understand that loyalty, building relationships and rewarding frequent customers is the key to success. From a novice to an expert bourbon enthusiast, Steve will take the time to educate you on tons of great daily drinkers and the stories behind their production. If you really want to get a taste for those hard to find bourbons, the store offers samples for purchase. Buying for hype isn't what bourbon is all about. Buy what suits your pallet and budget. I'm embarrassed to say I returned to this place after continuously receiving horrible service - the 4-5 times I've been there, the owner (I think) was rude, condescending, and unhelpful. There are too many other local stores to keep going back to a place where I leave crabby and frustrated at the awful customer service. read more

Very confusing place. Entered the store and was immediately met with an air of elitism. I inquired about some recent bottles of bourbon that had been released. There was an employee Craig who began mumbling something about resale and secondary pricing. I couldn't catch all of it, but it seemed like I was being accused unnecessarily. Not a good start. Anyway, he indicated that some of the bottles I was interested in were only available via raffle. I could become a club member or sign my name on the back of a receipt showing that I had made a purchase instore. I commented that this felt like an entry fee, but it may be worth it to potentially win free bottles. I was then advised that you would still need to buy the bottles, you were just getting the opportunity to do so. He referred me to their Facebook page for the pricing. I pulled out my phone and reviewed the prices. I was surprised to see that many of them were over retail... at least 1 bottle over 2x the amount. So my question is this, is this a pyramid scheme? read more

I'm assuming this is the right place. It's in a small strip mall and I'm shocked at there beer selection. As someone from 6 hrs away they have all kinds of great beers. Being from WI I found beers from Central Waters that have 1 bottle limits by us. The gentleman with tattoos was very helpful I'm pretty sure he's the owner. He was very helpful and honest. The past year I've been up here 3 times and it's always a stop. The grocery stores that have liquor are organised but nothing special for beer or help finding beers. Other liquor stores I visited up here were a disaster. Unorganised and dirty. Great store I'll be back. read more
