It's very disappointing but I guess it's to be expected when someone is already difficult to reach at the onset. In any case finding a reputable contractor who is reliable and response is key in any project. If you have someone that doesn't respond or reply its red flags for sure. Update: Thanks for responding, Dan. Your reply actually proves my point. For the record, I never asked you to help with anything "fake." I asked for a quote -- the one you said you could give based on photos -- and then you stopped responding. That's all this was about. If you simply told me this project was not for you that would have been the end of it. You ghosting and then responding to me on Yelp in such an unprofessional manner is what is crazy. Calling the situation "fake" also shows a misunderstanding of California property law. Tree-root damage to a shared wall is a real, common issue here, and nothing I described was unusual.
