Of course I was drawn in by the 5 star review, and the comments that indicated how much experience she had. I called immediately- it was a Saturday night. She stayed on the phone with me and patiently explained the process, asked questions and calmed my fears. I made an appointment immediately. What I have learned in the past three months is that not only is Julie Ann remarkably good at what she does-- it is a painstaking process and she is patient and diligent-- but she is also quite charming and a really lovely person. She has a million great stories she'll tell you while she works on you, and she will remember every detail you tell her- from your boyfriend's astrological sign to your mother's birthday. She's kind and compassionate and a real gem. Her workspace, while small, is filled with diplomas and certifications to ease your mind. She's been at this a long time, and she has stayed educated in her field. She offers the latest treatments, including laser. She's remarkably knowledgable about it all. For example, before finding Julie Ann I almost went to an expensive spa for laser treatment. What I learned through our extensive talks is that laser can actually make facial hair worse on women. It's great for arms and legs, though. Her prices are beyond fair- I've been quoted a lot more and she will not stiff you for time, though she's always got a customer after you because she is well known and so good. She does a lot and she will work on you as long as it takes. I always feel like I should be giving her MORE money- and trust me, I am broke and don't think that often. But you have a need- hair removal- so beyond all the other "pluses" of going to Julie Ann you can rest assured that she's the absolute best there is. Definitely call, you found your solution.

The receptionist notified Amy, who then took me into the treatment room. After 5 or so minutes, it turned out that I was early for my appointment and another client who had been booked before me arrived late. They made us switch out, apologizing for the mix up. The receptionist said "You said your name was XYZ (whoever had booked the appt prior to me)," implying that I tricked them into taking me first. After the third time, I loudly proclaimed that I never said any name and that they did the mix up. I didn't care about being switched up but I care when someone calls me a liar. Amy was very good about my electrolysis. She worked swiftly and with precision. She knew all of the right tips and tricks. I have had electrolysis on many occasions and I would say she is one of the most talented technitians I have had. That said, I was charged approx $47 for 15 minutes, which also makes it the most expensive, by far. I won't be coming back solely for the pricing but I would otherwise recommend it.

I have been seeing Amy for the past 4 years and she is very gentle , caring and knows how to do her job WELL ! I had very intense side burn hairs that I was extremely self conscious about and she removed them with electrolysis in a matter of months ! That was 4 years ago and no hair has grown back ! Now I am back for a few stubborn chin hairs and just as usual she is super kind , gentle and makes me feel so much better ! I called to explain and apologize, and asked if the no-show fee could be waived or the session rescheduled, given that I'd never once been late or missed an appointment in years of coming here. Both requests were declined, and I paid the fee. I understand policies exist for a reason, but I was disappointed that years of reliability didn't factor into the conversation at all. If anything, it felt like the opposite, like being a long-time client counted for less rather than more, and that keeping my business going forward wasn't a priority. Good, reasonable customer service is very important to me, more than the fee itself, and it's a real part of why I'm now looking for a new provider.

I probably would move on and forget about everything after an apology, but you threatened to post my pictures and personal info for several times, which is inappropriate and frankly illegal. Here is a quote from your email: "...bad reviews ... will reflect me not my staff and a lot of extra work for my public relations dept to write you back on line and post a lot of personal information and photos..." 3. You state that I should have come to show you my legs after treatment and hold my refusal to do so as an evidence of my foul play. I am going to post my pictures, so people could see how bad it looks week after the treatment. I don`t see a purpose in wasting my time going back to your salon. You are not a medical professional and I will not have any confidence in your advise after nasty and threatening emails I received from you. I saw dermatologist and had to undergo course of therapy. I am not sure which proof you are talking about, and again, it sounds like a threat, which seems to be your way of handling unpleasant matters.
