6/22/25 I dislike when ppl try to be funny acting or think that they are being smart or whatever is going thru their damn brain at the moment. If you ask for extra cheese they will coat it down with what it appears to be maybe half a bag of cheese and on the ticket it says HEAVY HEAVY HEAVY on the cheese, " WHY?" We went for a family birthday dinner celebration. Warm and cozy casual dining. The staff was attentive and helpful. Our orders came out fairly quickly as well. It has been several years since I had Shotgun Dan's Pizza. I got their garden veggie pizza and my husband got a pepperoni pizza. Both were tasty and piping hot. Damn good pizza!! I was there a few years ago. Friendly staff, cool owner, and great food!

Pizza is not well portioned, meaning they just throw stuff on there randomly and basically skip sauce. The dough tastes like I bought it from the grocery store and microwaved it. No crunch, bad tasting and somehow super dry. Could have just been an off night but for the price tag of $43 for two medium pizzas, will not be going back. read more

I went by to grab a pizza on a Tuesday night . It wasn't really busy, it was clean in there. I decided on a small pizza with pepperoni, sausage,beef and Canadian bacon - I think that's what was on it . It was $20 with the tip and it was adequate as far as toppings it had enough cheese , it was a tasty pizza . I remember visiting the Rose City location years ago we would get pizza there . I wish I could remember what kind we used to get because this one was really spicy and pricey for me. Soon I'll come back again and try something else. I've had pizza from all across the country and I hate to say that this place ranks as the second worst I've ever experienced! It must be the flavor of the pizza sauce that hurts it so much. The pepperoni they use doesn't even taste good. I was hoping to find a great new favorite pizza place, because it's so highly recommended, but unfortunately it didn't work out. I'm from STL so I'm use to thin crust and at this place it's thicker and bland. I don't like the pizza but the salads are good!

This location is problematic to say the least. I placed an order at 11:30, one pizza nothing complex. They said the pizza would be ready in 20 minutes. I pull up at 11:50 and pay and the lady says "one small cheese pizza". I said no its a large cheese pizza. She said "oh um ok" please wait, you have another 10 minutes left. I was confused. How would I have another 10 minutes left and you told me that my pizza would be ready in 20 minutes. Ten minutes later she comes back to the window and says "you have another 10 or 15 minutes to wait, could you please pull up to the curb". I wait another 15 or 20 minutes and at 12:20 they bring my pizza to me. Needless to say I wasn't happy and to top it off I open the pizza and they had basically cooked a container of red peppers into my pizza. I will attach a photo. I call and let me tell you what the manager says. He says "well we had a mix up in the kitchen" and he just sat there like the phone call was over. I said is this the norm? He said "look sir, everyone makes mistakes". So I guess he was saying "no matter how long we tell you will be the eta on your pizza if it's an hour or even longer just be happy you got food. He got off the phone quick. Here's where it gets even better. I call the location on Markham and get the number to the corporate office and the lady at the corporate office said that the lobby filled up quick and they had a bunch of people that went to the location in sherwood, so they got busy and things happen. This was the Corporate Office for Shotgun Dan's. I can't begin to tell you how immature, unprofessional and just plain inept people of this nature sound when trying to find justification for a customer waiting almost an hour for a cheese pizza. Then to pass the buck and blame mistakes, a busy lobby or large groups for the reason your people can't look at a ticket and process the words 'Large Cheese Pizza' thats tough. I won't return to this location again. Crap product, crap service and crap people. read more

Have eaten here for years, and it seems to get worse every year.. I just picked up some pizzas, got to the house and bit into one... and there was a crunch, but this wasn't your normal crunch this was biting into a rock. I called the manager, and he said it was most likely an olive pit, and I could bring the pizza back and they'd make a new one. This "olive pit" has the harness of a rock and about broke my tooth.. These fools are so set on "no refunds" that they will give you a rock pizza and stand by it. Shotgun Dan's has been a favorite of mine for many many years. Pizza is always tasty and fresh. The pizza crust is thin and crispy and toppings are piled on generously . Another favorite is the Golden Nuggets appetizer. Garlic Cheese Pizza Bread Sticks all in one. They are served with the homemade marinara sauce, although I prefer them with Ranch dressing. Service is tops and price is right. My only complaint is the salad bar. The lettuce is wet and slightly wilted and other ingredients are limited. I won't waste my time or money on the salad bar again. I won't lower the rating of my favorite pizza place over their salad bar - I just hope that management actually reads these reviews and makes changes. Will I be back? Yes, again and again and again.
