There's a reason the rating is 3.8. I sat at the bar. It was filthy from previous diners having eaten there. Dirty napkins, dirty counter and dirty beer glasses. Pizza was just ok, however the artichokes were so hard, they were not edible. AK, the manager appeared briefly, but didn't notice the huge mess and didn't offer to help in any way. I'm from the east coast so impressing me is not easy when it comes to pizza. We got the sausage, pepper, onion and mushroom pie (hold the black olives for me). It was respectable ...really good. The crust wasn't too thin (I can't do that cardboard crap) and it wasn't too thick. I like uber thick but I can understand those who don't. Anyway. The crust was delicious as was the sauce. And this honey mustard sauce to dip the crust was fabulous. They had fans and misters so the heat wasn't so bad. The only complaint I have (and it's purely nit-picky crap) is that they didn't slice the onions and green peppers length wise. But the beer was ice cold. Savannah our server was a doll. I have been here many times and have had the worst service ever. I usually do not leave bad reviews but it has gotten so bad I'm sick of it. When I get bad service and keep my cool as my kids were present and then you treat me like nobody then you get my attention. I got my pizza comped and did not even want that to happen. waiters/waitress depend on tips and I tip 20% at least and was going to make up for it until I got treated like nobody. What an amazing first experience at the Pizza Cafe! Decided to try something new for a friends birthday and we were not disappointed. This place very laid back and allows you to seat yourself so of course we chose to sit out on the patio! Our waitress Courtney was so funny and had our table laughing all night! She suggested that we try their Cheese Dip and the Spicy Chicken Deluxe! The cheese dip is a must, especially if you're getting drinks and planning to stay awhile! This is my fourth time to eat here. Every single time the wait for the pizza is at least 1 1/2 hours. This is with 6 people in the entire restaurant. Our tennis team came twice with 6 of us. Both times all of us couldn't believe the terrible service and the long wait time. We have officially put them on our no go list. Tonight my wife and I ordered salads. Not once did our waitress ask for a drink order. I had to go to the counter and order a beer and an iced tea. Ten minutes later they brought two beers and no iced tea. One hour goes by. Not once did our waitress say I'm sorry. Not once did she check on our table. Plus they never brought our salads. I went to the counter to ask where they were and they said they would start in them now. I canceled them and again she didn't apologize. Three strikes and your out. This place is awful. If you want to wait an hour and a half for your food and get terrible service.....This is your place. read more

And we have to dip our crusts in honey when we finish up--so good! I want to specifically mention the service because they really do things right. After several years of picking up carry out, we had something missing from our order recently after getting home. This is highly unusual for Pizza Cafe! I went in with my girlfriend to meet a friend and sit at the bar. I order a lagunitas ipa. Shannon the manager poured it for me. After finishing and the pizza was not ready Courtney the blonde girl with the curley hair and facial piercings was behind the bar I politely asked how much the IPAs were on draft. She ignored me. I made eye contact with a cook ( Grace Hannah ) who obviously saw me ask her and saw what was going on. I asked again "Excuse me how much are these IPAs on draft" ignored again. I raised my voice and said "Hello I know you can hear me" at this point Grace Hannah quit doing her job making pizzas and came around and said "I am sorry and asked what I wanted" I asked to speak to a manger. Manager never came and spoke with me after being there for another 5 minutes. Paid for the beer I drank, me and my girlfriend left unhappy and felt discriminated against. Watch out, terrible customer service. Would not give a business who employs people like this my hard earned money. read more

Yes the food here is good. The telephone service is terrible. When I called some ignorant person answered the phone seemed put out to take my call and didn't even thank me for the order. Being from the north I am cool with the ignorance but not everyone in my family cares for that. FYI take a customer service class or go get another job. read more
