This place is fantastic! I called to see if they took walk ins, because both of my sons needed haircuts. My oldest son had bad experiences with barbers in the past, and so he hadn't wanted to get their hair cut; but I wanted to clean him up a bit. Sean exceeded all expectations, and the price was great! Definitely will be returning. He made my kids feel like one of the guys, and did an incredible job with their hair (sometimes people can't deal with their texture). Will return! read more

I am a regular at SBS on Slauson. My go-to barber is Diamahn, but everyone at the shop is great. While the quality of the haircut is important to me, I care most about feeling comfortable to be myself when I'm there. When you're going somewhere for a hour almost every week, that's important. Everyone at the shop is welcoming and the vibe is always positive. It also helps that the shop is within a 10 minutes drive of home. read more

They don't call this place Showcase Barber Salon for no reason, whenever you're in here a showcase is precisely what you get. Now I know I've written about other barbershops in the past, but J. E. S. U. S. C. H. R. I. S. T.! I have never in my life seen such precision with a blade in hand. I mean these barbers are truly artists. It's like they are painting works of art on whoever sit in the chair. I was in awe over one barber in particular, I believe her name is Aaryn. I've heard that she's the best in the salon but I was still skeptical at first, after about 5 minutes in the shop and 3 minutes of seeing how she handled the clippers with style and grace it was evident that the roomers weren't really just roomers. I had to come say my confession on Yelp. She's legit AF! Some would say that this place is a bit pricey, but for me, seeing the cuts and styles that these barbers create, Aaryn in especially are priceless. I'll def be coming here more often. Well.. the first time was GREAT and then I went a second time and charged me 40 dollars cause my hair was long when I paid 30 last time.... (I really got a long hair tax) definitely should tell customers what y'all charge cause that is preposterous!!! Also my edges were uneven my line behind my ear is asymmetrical! read more

MARCI FOR LIFE! I've been going to Marci for a couple years and have always loved her haircuts. Although SBS is a little farther from me than the last spot, I don't even think twice about it. Marci is cool, easy to talk to, and easy to schedule appointments with. And she always does a great job. You can tell when people are rushing to give you a quick cut to move on to their next customer... but that's not the case with Marci. She always takes the time needed to give you a fresh cut. She's also super good at interpreting my borderline nonsense haircut "instructions". I've changed hairstyles a few times with Marci and each time it's on point. Marci just gave me the best haircut of my entire life, no exaggeration. She was as excited as I was over how great I looked! Went here for the first time due to Diahman making a move with the Pretty Little Barbers to this space. I would give Diamahn a good rating wherever she landed, but the welcoming vibe was cool with good conversation and laughs all around. It is certainly not a house of glamour and definitely maintains the feel of a well-worn barber shop, but we'll see what the newly injected feminine touch does for the place. I got my hair cut by Trevin. It looked OK, but hurt. I could feel the clippers nicking me while he cut., and he used weird choppy strokes while he cut. I asked for a razor line up. I wished he would have just said he didn't know how to do one. It felt like I was being scalped. I have never had my head burn as bad as when he put the alcohol on it at the end. Pure fire. On top of that, dude charge like an extra $7 for the razor line up as if he gave me a facial shave. It would have been nice if he would have told me about the additional charge up front. Later on I have scabs along my hair line where he cut me. read more

Lou is great. I've been taking my son to him for the past 4 years. He's exceptional with him and my son can be difficult at times. Showcase is a one stop shop. They have stylists so I can get my hair done, my son can get his hair cut, and Lou even does facials. read more
