a wrap of chicken and vegetables
    Sherri J.

Happened to find this place in the mall food court and so glad I did. The Greek salad was huge and amazing! Tons of lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, feta cheese, Greek olives, red onions, peppers and grilled chicken. It was served with pita bread , tzatziki and Greek dressing. The next time I am in the area I will definitely eat here! Service was friendly and fast.

The cheese looks like some sort of imitation plastic cheese. The burger is like I'm eating something left over from last weeks menu.

The burger feels like it came from last weeks menu. It is very hard and chewy. I wasn't sure but I ordered mushrooms and onions and it taste like pieces of rubber. Also, I don't recognize that as cheese. It looks more like something plastic.

Staff is very friendly! So I came here super hungry and decided to try the burger and fries (unfortunately I wrote this review a few weeks later and cannot remember which burger I chose). The menu had a lot of great options so much so that I was super indecisive when I got up to the window to order. The young man that was there (can't remember his name) was super patient with me and even working with me to discuss some of the nutritional facts about each item. Since the pandemic struck, I've developed a habit of eating in my car and/or waiting until I get home when I can comfortably take my mask off and not have anxiety about the virus. The food itself was warm because it was just cooked however the fries was extremely salty; so much so that I could not finish it all. The burger itself also wasn't that great- I wanna say that may have been salty as well. There is plenty of places to sit to eat as this resturant is located with a mall. I would probably come back and give this place one more try to see if the food improved.

When you think mall food you start by wondering how strong your stomach may be. As I was super reluctant to add tummy problems on my shopping day. But two sales associates made the suggestion to try this place out. Well I can say I was not disappointed at ALL. I ordered the two piece flounder with fries and side salad(no extra charge) instead of coleslaw. Every bite was worth the caloric coma that came afterwards. I'm not sure what addicting ingredient they put in the hush puppies but definitely continue. If your in the mall make the pit stop! You will not regret it.

I came here about a week ago to get something to eat and I must say that I was very disappointed. I will never eat at this showmars again. The customer service was ok I did have to wait long to order but I had to wait a while to receive my food. I've eaten at plenty of showmars throughout the city and I always go with the fish sandwich or the seafood platter and this was the weakest fish sandwich I ever received from any showmars that I've been to. I was highly disappointed.

South Park Mall Food Court, Charlotte, NC--go there when you get hungry!
    Anthony W.

As this is my 1st experience with this fast food Mediterranean/Greek cuisine, in a Mall I was very impressed. We had the chicken sandwich and cole slaw and Grilled Chicken and grilled vegetables with rice pilaf ( Chicken Santorini). We were very pleased with the portion, taste and temperature of our meal. This place was busy for a Sunday after church crowed and they got it all right the 1st time. We don't usually have such a great experience with Mall food courts and this was truly an exception! So if you are visiting the South Park Mall in Charlotte and get hungry, I highly recommend the Showmars Food Kiosk at this place. The Fish meal had a health amount of wild caught fish served on the sandwich and great tasting coleslaw salad.

    Gyro combination ...where's the lettuce
    Jenita M.

Not the gyro I was expecting. There wasn't any lettuce and they don't add gets on it. It was cool they added employee discount (with proof). I've been told there's a gyro supreme that has all that so maybe I'll check it out.

The worst gyro I've ever tasted (it didn't even have lettuce in it) not authentic! The burgers were fast food quality. Free refills, though.

We were looking for lighter fare and the menu had so many options to choose from. The lavender honey butter with the warm bread surprised me the most - the bread was fluffy and cloud like and divine with the butter. We nearly ordered another one, but it was just so decadent. The mezze platter had lots of great bites for our varied palates, loved the whipped ricotta and all the olives and fried naan. Harrisa roasted carrots were our idea of something healthy, and they may have been nutritious but tasted just as good as any main dish. Our server kindly warned us to be careful of the fresno chiles on the pork belly dish, and we appreciated that. They were quite spicy but very good with the slaw and pork belly - excellent bite of savory, crunchy, spicy and just a wee bit sweet was possible on that one. We happened to benefit from some wine specials and opted for a couple of bottles of wine at a serious discount that were excellent. Our server made great recommendations and made sure our glasses never ran dry. The manager also checked in on our group but was never intrusive. We enjoyed the booth seating near the window and the vibe was definitely upbeat but casual. It hit the spot!

My girlfriend and I stopped by Salata in South End on the way out of town for a birthday Airbnb…read moretrip and thought the place looked great inside. The space is bright, clean, and feels like a nice addition to the neighborhood. The biggest downside was the parking situation which is obviously more of a South End issue than a Salata issue, but it definitely made the quick stop feel less convenient than we expected. The ordering flow was also a little awkward... after building your order you end up waiting at the register while the food is assembled, which slowed things down more than it needed to. Food-wise, my wrap ended up being really good but there wasn't an option for a plain wrap, so I went with the cucumber wrap instead of whole wheat and it actually worked out great. Overall, it was a good meal, but if I'm choosing between salad spots in Charlotte I'd probably lean toward Chopt most of the time.

I walked in and no one was inside so I was able to order right away. I had a spinach salad with lots of yummy fresh toppings and the spice chipotle lime chicken. It looked as good as it tasted. The pesto chicken looked great too, but I wanted a little heat. I love their options and that you get the cute lil croissant with the salad. I had the ginger lime vinaigrette and REALLY enjoyed this salad.

Great spot with a great feel inside and nice modern decor. Really nice bar too. We had a great table for the 7 of us with plenty of space for us all and our food ! Our server was awesome and so attentive to us and our requests. Good food here. Something for everyone. Not the best Italian food I've had ever but was good. We had a bunch of things off the menu and shared it all. They also have drink and food specials everyday posted in the table Drinks were good too some classic Italian cocktails. And great wine list and beers too. Italian heavy as they should be! Guys had Peronis girls had cocktails. Negroni, Italian Paloma , espresso martini and Hugo spritz. All great and nice glasses and presentation. We had a lot of food ! The bread service is excellent, soft but light and airy. Great olive oil too. The polenta pour is a must ! So unusual, they pour polenta at a table by your table on a wooden plank and top it with toasted mushrooms, garlic sautéed spinach, Italian meatballs , Italian sweet sausage and tender rapini, which is broccoli rabe. It's a great visual and great for many people . You order per person and we just did 2 people and let me tell you it's plenty for 4 . We all ate off it from the center of the table along with everything else. Cool idea. Also we had the pumpkin ravioli, ribeye steak, which was cooked perfectly , funghi Campanelli, roasted tomato soup, Caprese flatbread and Cesar salad. All of this was excellent. I loved the pasta in the funghi dish ! Caprese flatbread was really good and the crust was nice and crunchy. The guys loved the steak. Then we had a few affagatos to round it all out and that was awesome and delicious too. So nicely presented too with a red mug of gelato and Amaretti cookie crumble and a little out of hot espresso . So good . I recommend either less gelato or more espresso. Little off in the ratio. But still very good and rich. We had a totally fun night here . Great new spot in South Park area.

We arrived to be sat in the WORST table in the whole restaurant (and it was freezing cold in there, we sat on what felt like "chilled" chairs). The table was bad because the host and hostess had to bump us every time they walked other tables back (and then those customers bumped us) - this also happened when they delivered food. Seriously horrible table placement. We got bumped more than 10x before even ordering drinks. We questioned if it was a "what would you do" TV show about to have John Quinones pop out from behind a wall. On to the food/service - the waitress was pleasant and all, but she almost whispered. We genuinely couldn't hear what she said the first 5 mins of intros and specials but she did point to the things on the menu they were OUT of. (Too many for a Friday night). I wanted a hot drink - anything because I was so cold..... and she said, "I have hot water" - great, but no tea. No coffee? No tea? Nothing hot as my teeth were chattering? Nope. We ordered diet cokes. They came in mini glass bottles (ugh) and the martini one of my guests ordered was literally 1/3 full and was lousy. (Oh no). Now we were in too deep. 20 mins of staring at the menu, miss whisper returned and we ordered. The food was quite bland/boring. The chicken parm came with sliced provolone on top that was not even melted and a few sliced cherry tomatoes on top of that. Interesting. What was that?!? The pasta was cooked perfectly but the sauce needed salt as it genuinely had zero flavor. Some random guy who was quite personable saved us as he brought salt and cheese to the table. No idea where our waitress went - drinks sat empty, plates half emptied because we simply couldn't finish. She returned eventually and asked about dessert - we didn't bother to look. We'd have probably waited another 45 mins to get dessert and we continued to get bumped the whole meal. Again, she was lovely (from what we heard her say) but the lackluster Friday night simply soured us. Best part honestly? The taffy bins on the way out. We grabbed a couple pieces and they were great. Otherwise, I hope they can drum up enough of a crowd to keep their rent paid. Sadly it won't be us. Seems a few tables around us felt it was ok (but for a Friday night this place was pretty lightly filled) - maybe better seating would've changed our whole attitude. (And some salt & pepper on the table). It was weird to not even be offered any kind of bread either - if you want some kind of side or something to supplement the sauces, you likely need to order it. Too pricy for the experience we had. It's a no from us.

Yes, double Caesar. I know. Judge me if you want. It's my favorite part, and the pesto chicken is ridiculously good. Anyway, I was passing the SouthPark location one day and figured I'd save myself the trip to South End. Mistake. I made it all the way down the line, ordered my usual ingredients, said "double Caesar," and the employee just looked at me and said: "No." I genuinely thought she was joking. Apparently two scoops of Caesar would make the wrap "explode".. her words not mine. I explained that I order this exact wrap at South End constantly and they wrap it without even blinking. Didn't matter. I asked if she could just try. No. Asked again because surely we weren't seriously having a standoff over an extra scoop of salad dressing. Still no. Guys, I'm not asking you to wrap soup. It's lettuce, chicken, corn, tomato, cheese and slightly more Caesar dressing than society apparently considers appropriate. After about the fifth refusal, I just walked out, drove to the South End location, ordered the exact same wrap, said "double Caesar" and nobody cared. They wrapped it perfectly. I'm sure the SouthPark location makes a perfectly good salad, but if my usual order requires a debate and a feasibility study, I'll just keep driving to South End.
