Massive chicken bacon ranch sandwich
Arsenio Q.

Huge portion sizes and those eggy tasting fries that fluff up. Solid ingrediants. Super friendly staff. Very welcoming. The guy with the neck tattoo heloed me find my order. Claims he made amazing food. He didnt lie. If you see him trust your food is in good hands. This shit was banging. Definitely gonna be my sub shop go to from now on.

Upon entering the shop, I noticed it wasn't a huge place, but just enough. It was a typical sub shop setup, featuring several tables and chairs, should you prefer to dine in instead of takeout. I was greeted warmly and professionally by Brandy. I explained it was my first time trying Capriotti's, so she took the time to welcome me, explain the different subs and sizes, and recommended certain food items based on what I like to eat. I'm certainly a cheesesteak aficionado, as we have some phenomenal sub shops up North. So, I ordered the American Wagyu Cheesesteak Sub, consisting of sweet peppers, mayo, lettuce, tomatoes, salt, pepper, oil, and vinegar dressing. I received my order in a reasonable amount of time. When I tell you that the sub was seasoned to perfection and was delicious, it is not an exaggeration. I was very pleased with the service and my food. I will be returning to try out some of their other food choices as well. If you haven't tried Capriotti's, do so.

Pink lettuce? I know that I ordered lettuce but after removing a sour, slimy, soft piece of lettuce stuck to the roof of my mouth I had to stop eating this sub. Not to mention the bacon was rubbery with bo crisp.

Every so often, I get a craving for a meatball sub and it can't be denied. So when I was out and about at lunchtime, I headed to Capriotti's. Thankfully, they have the sub sizes laid out so you know that the medium is actually rather large. So I did that and now I have a 12 inch (or so) meatball sub to unwrap. Hot, fresh, loaded with meatballs and cheese. Nicely melted and tasty though I would say that meatballs were a little bit pink inside. Still, delicious and I enjoyed it. The restaurant is clean, there is plenty of seating inside. [Review 1159 of 2024 - 3650 in North Carolina - 22182 overall]

Meatball sub

While out running errands yesterday, I decided to pick up a late lunch and take it home. I'd never been to Capriotti's, and wanted something new, so I stopped by. The meatball sub sounded good, so I placed my order. I was greeted quickly when I walked in (I was the only customer in the store at that time) and waited about 7 minutes for my sub. While I waited, the staff were talking amongst themselves, and the lady who had taken my order made the comment "can you believe someone wants the 4 inch cut in half? I'm not doing that, and I'm putting a knife in the bag and telling them to do it themselves". Not a good look with a customer standing there. Maybe it was for a child, and they needed it smaller to be handled better. Got home to eat my sub, and while it was good, I don't think it was worth the $18 I paid for it. I got the small (which is an 8 inch) and got chips and a drink. There was a ton of extra sauce on it, which made it soggy by the time I drove 5 minutes home. Not sure I'll be a returning customer.

Great food and great service, what more could you ask for? The employees greeted us as soon as we entered and were friendly throughout our time here. The service was quick and everything was delicious. Also, whoever is in charge of the music deserves props as well. I heard some songs I haven't heard in years and could've sat there enjoying the music all day. Now as for the food, this place offers an interesting selection of sandwiches beyond the typical sandwich shop menu. One in particular really caught my eye so I just had to try it. The Bobbie is thanksgiving on a sub roll and is every bit as delicious as you would imagine. Maybe even more so because the turkey and stuffing aren't dry like some people serve during the holidays. The bread is fresh, the flavors are great, and the portions are very filling. Total perfection! You can order this sandwich hot or cold; I decided to go with hot but I feel like both would be great in their own right just by how amazing the flavors all work together. I love that this is on the menu all year long and isn't just a seasonal thing. I can see me ordering this every trip, but I want to check out their cheesesteaks too. It'll be a tough call on my next visit. My husband had the grilled chicken parmesan sub which also delivered great flavor. The sauce was SO good, even if it made things a little more messy. It may not photograph well but trust me, it makes up for that in taste. Especially with the soft bread and mixture of veggies, sauce, and chicken. And the fries... they really surprised me! I don't think I've ever had fries cut like these. They're wide cut but thin at the same time. They were freshly cooked and crispy. I could see if these weren't cooked right, they could be soft and floppy, but this place seems to have it down to a science of how to cut and cook them to be perfectly crisp. They were seasoned just right too. You get a cup full and we even had a decent amount in the bag as well. More than enough to share between us given how filling the subs are. This place doesn't seem to skimp on anything so from the subs to the side of fries, we had plenty of food to share. It was the only meal I had all day and I'm pretty sure it'll hold me well into tomorrow at this rate. I'm already looking forward to visiting again in the near future. Definitely check them out if you're in the mood for a good sub!

The only thing wrong is there isn't a store in south Charlotte/ Pineville area. Other than that it's golden! Two thumbs way up!

We had Capriottis for lunch yesterday and it was sooooooo good! I stand by my original review.. it's Hot Bobbie is Thanksgiving on a bun ! It is just fantastic! Be ware tho you will be full immediately after eating there and the Thanksgiving meal hangover is bound to happen. All in all it's worth it! Two thumbs way up !

In my opinion, it's definitely not the best sandwich in America. Took 20 minutes to get our order, which we appreciate it being cooked fresh... but it wasn't busy (not many tickets). Then, after waiting 20 minutes, the sandwiches were wrong. The Italian sausage sandwich, which was ordered with marinara on the side, was smothered and a soggy nightmare. It looked disgusting and inedible (see pic unwrapped as is on site). I ordered the Italian, which was straightforward, but my bread was soggy bread that only fish and ducks would eat. We had to wait another 5 minutes to get a new Italian sausage sandwich. No offer for a refund, discount, or maybe something small for free. 25-30 minutes wait at a sandwich shop is a little crazy IMO. The only reason I would give it 3 stars would be due to the fries being really good, but the soggy sandwich was just nasty.

We tried Capriotti's and they had a lot of good options, more than a usual sandwich shop..they have subs, sandwiches, salads, French fries, and soup. The fries was a side and was a huge serving. I also liked that they had plenty of size options from small to large. The bbq sub did not have a ton of bbq flavor, but overall it was good. Both subs we tried also had a lot of bread. They had fun lighting and about 10 tables.

The Bobbie
Glenn C.

Had the Bobbie sandwich. It was very good. Turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce sandwich was very unique. Cheese steaks seem to be popular. Several people in my meeting ordered them. Sides of fries were nothing special

I have heard about Capriotti's in the past and the fact that they have a thanksgiving sandwich. I love thanksgiving dinner and wanted to try the "Bobbie". I met a colleague for lunch here and finally I had my opportunit. I ordered a large Bobbie and finally ready for some goodness. Overall the sandwich was not bad. I would have asked for less mayo but over it was a descent option. If I am in the area I will probably stop by and grab another one.

Seriously paid $10 for this? Unreal honestly.

That is how long I would expect to wait honestly. They do have a few tables and chairs if you want to sit and eat. The hoagies were both really good. The bread was fresh and soft. Two frozen meatballs with two frozen slices of cheese not even melted on top -- they were stacked beside the meatballs like two pieces of drywall. Absolute masterpiece. I politely asked if they actually melted the cheese or warmed the bread and the employee looked at me like I had just asked her for cocaine. Apparently "hot sub" is an outrageous request now. Whatever this place claims to be -- NEW YORK, ITALIAN, whatever -- it's definitely not that. I've had better subs from a vending machine at a bus station. I ended up leaving the sub on the table because clearly they need the $14 more than I do. The place already looks like it's under new ownership every other week, and after eating there, it's easy to see why. Terrible.

The restaurant had plenty of seating and a comfortable, casual atmosphere. We started with mozzarella sticks to share, figuring it was a safe appetizer. Unfortunately, the portion surprised us a bit -- there were only five sticks for $7.50. Many places usually serve six to eight for about the same price, so it felt a little light. Next came the salads. She ordered the house salad with French dressing and I had the Caesar salad. The portions were normal for a side salad -- not overly generous, but honestly the perfect size to accompany a meal. I enjoyed my Caesar. For our main courses, she ordered the lasagna. The portion looked generous, but according to her it tasted average -- good, but not particularly memorable. I ordered the white clam pasta because I was really in the mood for clams or mussels. The flavor was actually very good, but the portion was smaller than I expected. I've had larger portions of similar dishes at comparable prices. One thing that was a bit disappointing was the Italian bread that came with the meal -- it was warm, but only two small pieces were served. That said, I noticed throughout our visit that many customers were coming in for pizza, and since it is primarily a pizzeria, that may be where they really shine. Overall, I wouldn't cross Enrico's off our list. Next time we'll likely try the pizza or explore other menu items to see what else they offer.

There were two people in the oven area, one who was evidently the manager and the other was the guy who took our order. After asking to talk to the manger regarding the customer service on the phone and then now, in person, he in fact was the manager. I explained what happened on the phone and instead of being apologetic he gaslit me and told me that he didn't hang up on me. It was on speaker and my husband was sitting right next to me. After my husband got upset for him gaslighting me, the manger tried to cover for his employee and said it was because they were closing soon. As I looked around the restaurant at multiple families taking their time dining in, I was further confused. My husband essentially had to get loud for him to be apologetic and ended up "giving our pizza for free" also with an attitude. The guy in the back was snatching out pizza and slicing it like the pizza did something to him! He tossed it to us for us to leave bc we were upset for NOT being treated with kindness or respect. The pizza was good-- we ate it but sadly we will not be back! Part of spending your hard earned money is giving back to small businesses who need it in this economy. The sheer lack of respect and kindness was mind blowing! Do not waste your money here. They don't care!

It's right on the way to my yoga studio, so it's perfect for a quick in-and-out lunch, but honestly, it's also the kind of place where you end up lingering longer than planned. My usual order is the ABLT on rye with Boar's Head applewood smoked bacon, avocado, lettuce, tomato, and mayo. Simple, fresh, and consistently delicious every single time. I almost always pair it with the Spinach Bacon salad loaded with spinach, cranberries, goat cheese, tomatoes, toasted pecans, and brown sugar peppered bacon. The portions are huge and definitely shareable. What makes Rhino special is that it's more than just a deli. It's part neighborhood market, part coffee shop, part beer and wine stop, and part community hangout. They've got local products, grab-and-go snacks, fresh sandwiches, beer on tap, wine, outdoor patio seating, and sometimes even live music. It reminds me of the small independent spots I used to love in the Bay Area around Burlingame, San Mateo, and Palo Alto. Relaxed, local, welcoming, and full of personality. The staff is always friendly, and the atmosphere feels genuinely Charlotte. Not overly polished. Not trying too hard. Just good food, good people, and a place that locals clearly love.
