I had 6 different landscape companies come out to give me estimates. All estimates were around $12,000-$15,000. I was willing to pay, but unfortunately none of these companies had a design concept that me and my wife thought was worth it. So a coworker showed me a picture of her neighbors yard that Showready had done. It was beautiful. So we said hey what's one more estimate, couldn't hurt it's free. So we called and Ed (Owner) came out with in a few days. He was super easy going, he listened to our needs and did a rough sketch on the dirt in our back yard. We loved it, he knew exactly what we were aiming for. We wanted a more simple but modern look and he definitely made it happen. Ed and his crew exceeded our expectations! Amazing Job. He is an incredibly nice and patient gentleman, and he is such a visionary with great ideas and suggestions after we shared what we generally wanted for our yard. We had been talking about having our backyard done for awhile but I am completely indecisive and somehow met & married a man who's even more indecisive than I am. So, we got a couple estimates but still had no real idea what we wanted. We knew exactly what we didn't want...little to no maintenance, nothing that shed a million leaves, berries or flowers. No mowing since the hubby is allergic to everything and we gave away our lawn mower when we sold our last grass filled yard with the promise to never have grass again! We had been procrastinating for years. And probably would have continued to do so but, along came puppy. And puppy needed a backyard. Our backyard already had a good sized slab of concrete but surrounding it was tons of weeds from fabled DIY attempts. We had planted stuff over the years but it just turned to crab grass and weeds. And puppy was chewing everything. A quick google search told me the things puppy was chewing on were toxic. So, they had to go. I called Show Ready, told Ed what we had in mind. Which was so basic. Artificial grass & rocks along both narrow sides of the house. No trees. No plants. No bushes or shrubs. Absolutely basic. Puppy needed room to run and since our backyard is your typical small & boxy Vegas backyard, we couldn't clutter it all up with trees & bushes. And we needed it quick. I called Ed on a Saturday and our backyard was done on Monday. Seriously. And it's perfect for us & puppy. It looks great. Ed suggested some boulders along the back wall and they are awesome. Because the backyard is concrete, grass (artificial) & rocks, the boulders really add a nice touch. We couldn't be happier with our yard and the work Ed & his crew did. Of all the work we had done on the home, the turf installation was one of the few things that we were 100% satisfied with. Ed and his crew completed landscaping and irrigation work at our property. Our monthly lawn maintenance company noticed that a few of the trees weren't getting enough water. This prompted us to contact Ed and ask him to come out to the property to check on the irrigation work and ensure all is functioning properly. His initial response? "Those trees weren't getting any water previously." Yes, we know that. This is why we paid your company to redo all of the irrigation throughout the entire yard. To make an extremely long story short, we've now been contacting Ed for several weeks asking for someone to come out and check the work. All we have received from Ed is excuses on how busy he is and how they cannot make it out to the property. We finally had to pay another company to come out and check the work. Turns out, we are now having to come out of pocket several thousands more to correct a few issues. It was not surprising to see other reviews stating the same issue of avoidance from Ed. Extremely unprofessional and shady business! While the aesthetic look of the yard was nice, it definitely wasn't worth the headache of dealing with the aftermath. read more

Ed is a very busy person and hard at times to get a hold of (due to his outstanding business)but it is all worth it. He had a ton of patience with my husband and I when it came to coming up with a design for our extremely large backyard. We have only been living in the house 5 months and could not bear any longer looking out of our windows and just seeing dirt. When we came up with a doable design that was very affordable we went for it and Ed and his crew got it all done in 4 1/2 days which I was shocked. If you could see how large our backyard is you would understand. They did a wonderful job and very meticulously done!! I truly felt confident in Ed and his team. This guy Ed answers and says that he will call you back and never does. Then when you call him back he say's that he will add you to his book and then he will call you. Two weeks go by and then he calls on a weekend and leaves message that he can come today or tomorrow. When you get back to town the next morning you call and it goes to voicemail and you leave a message that you are home and you never ever hear from this company. Ed's bid was reasonably priced and his team did a great job on our yard ; however , we had it all planted in late December and he assured us about his 6 month planting warranty . We have been following up with him for over 4 months to get these replaced and every time he asks for our address and says someone will be out in 2 weeks and nobody ever shows. It's too bad because he does great work but doesn't follow through on his commitments so we won't be referring him to anyone. read more

Some contractors will not even do that - they will just keep you waiting. We wanted pavers and artificial turf installed. Ed provided a reasonable estimate. We interviewed several local companies and decided upon Showready Landscape based upon the great ideas and fair prices. Ed and the whole crew was super! They designed and installed our entire backyard project recently. This included a large BBQ area and a fire pit and seating. Ed takes a lot of pride in the work and this is evident in the crew's work and attitude as well. Ed's prices were very fair and the work was done in a timely manner - they really were in and out fairly quick for it being such a large project. Ed and his crew have returned promptly any time we had anything subsequent that needed attention. We couldn't be happier with the final product and it really looks like a showplace. LOOK NO FURTHER! Ed, the owner of Showready Landscape is an artist. He and his fabulous crew transformed my "pile of dirt" backyard into a STUNNING display of color and design. I am new to Nevada and new to landscapers since I lived in a hi rise and townhouse in New Jersey for the last 40 years. I had been told to expect a minimum of $10,000 for basic landscaping design. I called one company who had some pretty good reviews on Yelp and could not get an appointment for two weeks, so I took it. I then called Showready Landscape and Ed was at my house the next day. I told him colors I liked and the "river rock" as show on his website. I had a fax that evening from Ed detailing his design. Shockingly his price was THOUSANDS less than I expected. I was so impressed with his design that I immediately cancelled the other appointment. After some delay, due to HOA, Ed completed my backyard in two days. Everything he promised and more. The main irrigation pipe in my backyard ruptured only about 3 months after Ed supposedly replaced all my old irrigation. I called him and asked if it was still under warranty. He said it was and would send someone out to fix it this past weekend. So, I waited around the house for a call and no call, no show. I called Ed back Sunday at around 4pm, and he said he forgot or whatnot and he'd send his guy Monday. I came home today, problem still not fixed and he is no call, no show again. A tag on the tube by the rupture had a date of 2006, which is when we had our irrigation done the first time. This tells me that Ed never replaced our irrigation or used really old parts to do so, but he surely charged us for all new irrigation. I will pay to have someone else fix the rupture since Ed and his company are a joke and fraud. Do not hire this company or babysit them if you do. Previous review (7/21/2016) Updated review 2.0 star Shortly after my previous yelp review, Ed sent his team to my house and finally corrected the paver issue and finished the block wall. Thank you to the workers. Previous review (6/30/2016): 1.0 star Hello, we paid Ed to do our back yard a short while back. We had him install some pavers, fake grass, many plants, and raise our side block wall. My one big concern that I stressed to Ed was to keep the "U" shape for water drainage in my backyard. After the install, I had a feeling that the pavers were incorrect and the block wall expansion was incomplete, but he insisted to pay him and assured me that he'd come back in a week and fix any issues. I soaked the pavers with water and most of the water ended up in a pool on my built in patio by my back door and the side of my house before. Not knowing much about pavers and block walls, I did some research and asked around to gain insight on correct jobs. The block wall expansion was left with no cement inside around 95% of the expanded blocks. All experts on the internet stressed the importance of filling all top blocks with cement to prevent deterioration of the wall. After much research, experts say the pavers should be graded away from the foundation of the house as water can cause foundation problems. Working with Ed was great until he got his money and now suddenly doesn't return calls or send anyone out when he says he is going to multiple times now. So, as you can tell, I'm not happy with an incomplete wall and pavers that will have to be ripped up and properly graded and Ed or his team is no where to be found. I would never recommend this landscaper unless you don't care about your property. read more
