I found Showroom Detail on Groupon, and based off the positive reviews there, I looked them up outside of Groupon and hired them for a full interior cleaning (Because why give Groupon a cut when they take soooo much from small business. But I digress...) The pros: -even though I didn't buy an exterior wash, the employee included one -good communication -professional -they come to you -ease of scheduling The cons: -I drive a minivan, but have all the back seats taken out. They charged me an additional $20 for an "extra large" car, when in reality, the job was probably easier than say, a 4 door luxury sedan, given that there were no seats in the back, no trunk, and all they had to clean was the floor. I cleaned out my entire van for them, but accidentally left my phone vent mount and a few other things in there like my sun scarf, sun gloves, etc. The employee took them out and showed me where he put those things. But when he left and I put everything back in my van, I could not find my phone mount. I decided to let Jorge know that it was missing. He offered to buy me a new phone mount if I couldn't find it. So I looked up and down and everywhere in between but still, no mount was found, and he replaced the mount for me. I really appreciate the professionalism on the lost mount. It was a little item...$15 total to replace...but it's the little things that I really appreciate because it shows he cares about his clients and the integrity of his business. I have been a client for almost 10 years and have sadly watched the slow decline in their service/customer service. I usually purchase annual wash contracts. This past year I was contacted by Jorge (the owner), personally marketing to me. I did end up purchasing another year of washes at a 25% increase from my previous purchase. However, it was a horrific experience. Getting the washes completed was excruciating. We were supposed to have a dedicated time slot every week but no shows, extreme late arrivals, and calendar shuffles became the norm. I was patient and considerate of staffing issues during covid, drove his staff around to get a battery when his van died in my driveway...so many occasions where I removed all my belongings from the car for the wash that ultimately never culminated. At one point I cataloged 13 no shows! Jorge also failed to keep track and now indicates he only owes me 1 last wash, whereas, my records show that he still owes me 5. And even the last one has never transpired. Pretty sure I have been swindled out of hundreds of dollars in washes. Gael, is his nephew, and when I would bring up any issue with him directly, he would say it was Jorge's mistake, and Jorge would do the same to Gael. This is a business approach that is pretty deplorable. My overall thought on this company is that you should NEVER purchase from them in advanced, make them actually work for their money. Showroom is simply not organised or dedicated to the business enough to operate reliably or on a trust basis. Jorge is trying to sell the business and has subsequently checked out to some degree and I fear more fall out to come. Jorge does not know how to run a business. 1 well earned star. My first clean was great. However, he doesn't respond to texts to schedule appts when he has other customers, but will randomly text you to get a clean when things are slow for him. Second service was poor and I regretted leaving a tip because areas on the dashboard were still dusty, wheels weren't thoroughly cleaned, windows streaky. No wonder the guy was done in like 20-30 min. He just texted me yesterday to drum up business and I told him the last clean was anything but and he offered a discount and an appointment today. Against my better judgment, I agreed. I was running a little behind (7-8 min) because of traffic, so I texted him to let him know because I'm considerate. He asks if they can come at 4:45 instead of 3:15, I'm like no, I'm only a few minutes late. He then asks if it can be pushed back 30 min because he sent them off for a snack or whatever (seriously? That fast??). I'm like, fine, if you already sent them off it doesn't matter if that works for me or not. It's 30 min past the rescheduled time, Jorge isn't responding to my texts asking where they are, how long it will be. Oh he just texted back. He claims they're 10 min away. 40 min. late for the rescheduled time?!?!? This is lame. Jorge, you don't understand how the business - customer relationship works. I'm not here to pay you money at your convenience. You also don't get the meaning of an appointment...it's not a suggested time, it's supposed to mean something. Well, my first experience with SHOWROOM DETAIL was GREAT! Truly pleased with their willingness and ENTHUSIASM, to take care of my auto detailing needs for my 2010 Buick Lacrosse. It gets better. Not only did SHOWROOM detail my car inside and out at a great price, but I also needed to get back to work and considered having another vehicle cleaned later in the week. The young attendant, Moe, mentioned that he could drive my car back to me and also pickup my Suburban and have it ready that evening. I didn't want them to rush the job on my Buick just to pickup my Suburban so I was skeptical. At least until he called me to drop-off my Buick, and to pickup my Suburban. When he arrived, my Buick was emaculate! Now for the real test, and a much larger job. My Chevy Suburban hadn't been detailed on the inside since 2006-2007, so attention was needed. I picked the perfect day (Monday) because again, I was pleased with what they could do in a few hours, if given the time. The best thing to do is to dropoff your vehicle and let them take their time. It allows them to pay attention to detail. When you wait, I can only imagine that they feel as if they need to rush. My 2001 Chevy Suburban (295,000 miles) was sparkling clean when I arrived to pick it up. They even cleaned my engine as a kindness!!! Who does that? Thanks Moe and Crew! So I inadvertently jacked up my car... My intent was to cover the scratches and little nicks on the driver side via DIY. Well, it didn't quite turn out like the UTube tutorials advertised. Infact, its worse than before. Anyway, I've was shopping for a quote for about a month and a half-calling and emailing pics of my car to all the shops listed on Yelp. My emails detailed everything that I did to have resulted such eyesore. It also states the products used along with the product picture for more info. I even measured the area that needed to be fixed so that they would have an idea on the size. The quotes ranged from 350-600 and one shop even quoted me 1500-and this shop had 5 stars too! All the quotes were over atleast 350 and up. One fine Sat morning, I happen to be in the area where this shop was located. So I decided to go in and ask for suggestions. A lady (forgot her name) greeted me and looked at my botch job and said that it can be removed or undone without having to go through the extreme like taking the door off. That it can simply be remedied by detailing. First I looked at her funny because everyone suggested that they would need to remove the door, sand and fill it, etc-which would equate $$$. So I hesitantly gave my keys-I mean o don't got anything to lose-it can only look better at that point. Picked up the car and let me tell you, she did it! She was able to remove and undo my botch paint job! She even detailed my interior when I only purchased exterior detail! I was floored ! I only trust my car with Jorge and his team. After so many automatic car washes and "100% hand wash" trickery, Showroom Detail is exactly what I was looking for. I have a car that I've spent a fortune on building, and I just recently picked it back up from 7 months at the paint shop getting a brand new paint job. I found Showroom Detail on Yelp, and haven't looked back since. They are now the ONLY company I will let touch my cars. I brought my Mustang in and paid $400 for a complete detail, sealant application, and steam clean of my engine. It turned out amazing. The engine bay is beautiful. The use of steam didn't damage any electronics and no water in my spark plugs which is what you'll get with companies that use a high pressure hose for engine cleaning. They also had a loaner car waiting for me so I could carry on with my day until my car was done. They even finished early! Every nook and cranny was cleaned. Carpets came out like new and they even know to use non-liquid tire shine so you don't get any splash on your fenders when you drive away. I've contacted Jorge with questions and concerns and he responds immediately and is as professional as can be. I've also tried their mobile service with my other car and my wife's car this past week.
