Even though "Jose," my detailer, did a standard job on my VW yesterday I can not recommend this company for your detailing needs. There are too many other choices in San Diego County and this one needs to be avoided. It all starts with first impressions as a new customer. Even though the online booking time was convenient, the manager, Alex, clearly does not care about your business. There is a "comments" box in the online booking process that was completely ignored with my question. The detailer was late to my appointment. Time means money and they don't care about wasting your time. The work vehicle was trashed when it showed up. Dents all over the place, door molding hanging outside the door. Invest some money and take all those dents out. It gives a bad look like they don't care. Before the work was started I was verbally told it would be an extra $45 for all of the work with some stubborn stains. Okay I understood, the car's interior was quite dirty. After working four hours on the car, the stains are still there. None of the ones on the seats and the carpet floor were removed. He tried was his answer and then asked me how long have I had the car. How is that relevant for the work performed? It is none of their business. Training is an issue obviously. On their website they claim "superior customer experience." Not so much. "Real time updates" during the four hours did not happen once. "Follow up care with maintenance recommendations" was non existent. The recommendations given was to keep the windows down because it still was wet inside. They couldn't dry the vehicle first? Yeah keep the windows down so all the dust flies in - so smart of them. At the end of the appointment I requested an invoice for their work. No was their answer but if you pay by credit card and pay the 4%+ surcharge, we can do it for you. What? That makes no sense. Their other payment options are cash, Venmo or Zelle. For a company that is detailer certified I am disappointed. Yes they are certified - certified waste of time. Take your business elsewhere. read more

We had a VERY dirty car interior, not gross, but we love car trips and the car is 6 years old. The technician did a GREAT job with 6 years of dust, grime, carpets, including crevices. We were impressed and definitely will use them again! Bonus to have them come to our house versus us having to drop the car off somewhere and wait. They were quick, lots of reminders of the upcoming appointment. Just not thrilled with the sign up process and setting up multiple services at once, it was confusing. But GREAT service! read more

Unfortunately we cannot say much about the owners integrity to loyal customers. As repeated customers for almost 1.5 years we were treated with the most DISREGARD by Alex, the owner. We had an agreement with pricing ($100x2 cars) he would service two cars bi-weekly monthly, with the exception that we'd travel back-and-forth between states. But on a drop in a bucket he unethically QUIT US because he wasn't able to hose us with over $100 more monthly. Not a huge lost to us because there are a dime a dozen Carwash businesses, and evidently not a huge lost to him. Up side: The kids he hires work very hard but they do quit on him frequently. read more

I have an older Honda Pilot with badly oxidized headlights. I made an appointment online with Fresh Layer after seeing their high Yelp rating. I was able to book at my home the very next morning for their headlight restoration service, at a reasonable $50/headlight. The tech did a great job and the headlight assemblies look brand new. I have also noticed more light on the road at night. I'm very happy with the immediate results. We'll see how long the clarity lasts - others have indicated 1-2 years, we'll see. read more

I hired these guys to restore two front headlight assemblies that were completely fogged up. When I went to the auto parts store, they had chemicals and processes that you could purchase, but I didn't want to waste an hour of my time and not produce acceptable results. I found Fresh-Layer mobile detailing online and it sounded reasonable for $99 to have them restore the headlamp assemblies. Isaiah and Steve were punctual and incredibly professional. Most importantly, they did an amazing job. I wish I would have taken a before picture because they were so foggy and dangerous at night. Now they are crystal clear and look brand new. my first time using Fresh Layer. I made an appointment for a Stage One Paint Correction package. My technician was Jason. He was punctual, patient, and highly detail oriented. I've never been able to achieve the level of cleanliness/polish on my car. Once he texted me that my car was ready, I was blown away to see my car in such good condition. Jason went above and beyond to polish out all the major swirls in my paint. Gave a full rundown of how he did each step and was willing to answer every question I had. Jason is a hard worker, especially having to have washed my car in 90° heat in direct sunlight. Steve was very friendly and professional and was overall an easy process. Once the car was finished I immediately noticed a paint chip which I belive happened during the detail because I had all paint chips touched up the previous week and have photos from a few weeks ago with no chips in the paint. I'm not 100%  satisfied with the work that Joel did. Before he started, I asked him to clean the wire spokes on the wheels.  The attached photos were taken almost immediately after he left. I could have done a better job on the chrome front mudguard and the brushed aluminum engine component covers myself. I asked Joel to pay attention to those areas before he started the work, also. Update: after providing my feedback via email to the company, Alex Bratkov sent a second detailer to me today to finish the job to my satisfaction. Thank you, Alex. They had 3 guys show up and got to work without dilly-dallying. They got into every hard to reach spot and blew out my vents and shampooed the carpets and took out year old stains on the mats.
