Idk what the deal is with the white blonde woman who works here. Again I'm waiting at the bus stop and minding my own business and she walks up to open and keeps staring me down? And I mean staring w a nasty ass look in her eyes and face. It's not the first time either. Every time I'm at the bus stop and she's there she does this to me. I ignore her every single time. Here's a message to her directly. Just mind your own business girl. You swept trash at me the first time. I said something to you. Maybe you were having a bad day? Maybe you have anger issues? Either way it's no excuse for your nasty behavior. That day you threatened me I literally said nothing to you once you started w your violent behavior. Breathable high fashion wear is what this place stocks on their racks and shelves! It's a small store but they have tons of options. We found more than a few items that were just what we needed. Showtime? Oh, you mean that clothing store next to Starbucks and the hot friends-of-Dorothy bars on SanMo Boulevard? Yeah, been there. I didn't find anything for myself (found presents for other people, though), but that's not to say someone else can't find something they like -- especially if casual, clean-cut-young-person clothes are high on your list of priorities. Don't expect to find punk rock T-shirts with wild slogans or manwhore wear here, though. For those things, shop on mid-Melrose or make them yourself on mother's sewing machine (the same one that she made your adorable pajamas on when you were little) -- you conformist rebel, you ;-P. Showtime Clothing is a good store with friendly employees, though honestly it's not too exciting to shop here. Maybe I came on an off day, or a day when the stereo was broken so that only the sound of silence was pumped through the building's speakers. Who will shop here? Think, mid-twenties-to-late-thirties West Hollywood guy -- possibly one who likes other guys, possibly not -- but dressed in a way to keep you guessing. Ambiguously fascinating! Popped collar, maybe. I have been coming here for years and have always liked the clothes. I like that the men's clothes have a hint of European accents and there is a variety to choose from depending on what fashion mood you are in. The owner was extremely kind and even charged my phone for me while I shopped. Once I was finished I spoke with the owner and we had a great conversation. I was only intended to buy one shirt, but ended buying four. At first I was on the fence, but she convinced me I would love my purchases. For someone from outside of LA, this is a top-notch place to buy your Hollywood 'uniform'. For men's clothing, Showtime offers a range of Mondo brand shirts, jeans and t-shirts. Men from LA started the trend and it's spread across the world to be nearly a requirement that if you are going out and want to look cool- get yourself a shirt with an eagle or a cross on the back and a smaller emblem on the front above your heart. If you want to go out in LA, don't even try to get in to a hot club unless Showtime has outfitted you. Ha ha The folks who work here are chill and help find clothes that will work on your body. Just tried to return a shirt I bought 2 days ago, unopened, still in the bag with tags on it, and the owner said they don't do refunds - only "store credit." What kind of policy is that? Once you've given us your money, you are never getting it back, period? I just don't understand this desperate approach to running a business. Why would I ever shop there again, when almost every other store is happy to give me a refund if I change my mind on a purchase? Baffling. read more

Cute little store with some interesting clothes. Brought my friend here the other day. He was visiting from Australia and wanted to go on a shopping spree. We found him a great looking tanktop. Oh, and if you go, pray that you go on a day when Marlena is working. When we walked in she was engaged in a conversation with two other guys who were shopping here but she still acknowledged me and my friend and helped us. Then she had a conversation with us. The three of us really got to know each other, and she is just as friendly as she is helpful. I love shopping at stores where the staff actually takes an interst in their customers and gets to know them. Give her a raise. It's obviously she's not just there to collect a paycheck. So she doesn't want to be in her store ... how to you sell anything?!??????!!!! And then when I came in ... she automatically started talking to me in a rude and loud tone. I came and said I needed to make a return and she starts w her attitude! What the f---!!! She accused me of being rude when I hadn't even raised my voice so any anything nasty yet! Normally i would enjoy shopping here. With the employees are extremely nice and helpful. I get along extremely well with there staff, and there clothes are great and at a decent price point. I walked into the store and an older man, at least 65, walked up to me and my friend, and asked if we needed help. We proceeded to say no thank you and were just looking around. He then told us that he didnt think that we were just looking around and that we must be looking for something. And we just say, oh were just looking, and giggle a little. He then said, if your not looking for something, then get out. I tried to explain to him that we were just looking, and he said, this isnt funny. No laughing, and grabbed me by the shoulder and told me to get out. Im not sure who this man was, im assuming someone in management, but it was the most bazaar experience and me and my friend don't think it was professional at all. this horrible experience stopped me and my friend from going there ever again, even though we liked the clothes and love the employees. read more

Showtime on Melrose and Santa Monica is an awesome place to shop if you need to find something for ANY occasion. Ive shopped at BOTH and the customer service was absolutely wonderful. They always have new stuff every time I go and its all great quality and stuff that you won't find anywhere else. I highly recommend shopping at Showtime! Crusing down Melrose I instantly spot a store catered to the fellas-Yes, finally! I walk and I see the shirt I recently saw in Bloomingdales except showtime clothing has theirs 20 bucks cheaper. On top of that, I was greeted with a warm welcoming with one of the biggest smiles from an experienced stylist whose worked with a lot of celebs for years. I spent nearly two hours shopping, talking, and enjoying the atmosphere and ever since I've been back for more every time I'm in the area. I hear they're releasing vegan leathers soon which is pretty dope for the people who are against animal killing and all...but overall Go Showtime! read more
