All the dishes were good, but a fish spaghetti was an outstanding highlight, and the pressed young chicken was very tender and excellent. The extras were all good--especially the crab tart--though we'd probably pass on them next time. It's a great way to have an expertly cooked, gastropub-style three-course lunch while in town. This place is a great example why I don't usually bother to Michelin or posh places - can still get rubbish service at high prices My husband and I arrived before our friend and a server came relatively shortly to provide menus. Then the server disappeared... and we waited and waited and waited. Our friend came and then we waited some more. I finally had to flag down someone and a sweet trainee waitress with very poor English came by. She repeated our orders rather than writing them down which I find really annoying. Just write it down the first time! Then she left and came back with a notepad. Then ANOTHER waiter came by to ask for our orders!! We also weren't asked for drinks when the first waitress came by - we had to suggest that before ordering food. Finally at the end, we waited a while for a server to come around again to pick up plates. No one checked during our dinner as our water was running low or how we were enjoying our food. The restaurant sweetly offered my friend a scoop of chocolate mousse and happy birthday in chocolate drizzle no on a plate which I appreciated. Then I had to flag down a server, again, to pay. So overall we (my husband and I) definitely won't return. Places like this are a good reminder how high-priced food doesn't equal good service, like it does in the U.S. We've lived in London long enough to unfortunately realise this type of rubbish customer "service" still exists. Happy that we choose to patronise cheaper eateries in London with far better service.

The decorations and general ambiance were very North African, and we watched the owner make the food right in front of us! It felt incredibly intimate, authentic, and homemade. We ordered a sampler of all the dips (listed on the menu as salads) and split three of the mains. It was probably more food than we needed, but everything was flavorful and beautiful. The prices were also surprisingly reasonable by London standards. We had made reservations for dinner but it wasn't very busy, so I wouldn't worry too much about booking ahead. This place definitely deserves more recognition!
