    Simple Pancakes
    Christina P.

We stopped by as this was quite close to our hotel. It wasn't busy at all, so we got a seat quickly and ordered some drinks. I got a margarita, served with lukewarm with a few pieces of ice. I have to assume it was not made fresh or it was shaken without ice? Either way, simply not how cocktails are served, had to ask twice for more ice. I got the simple cakes plus a breakfast sausage and corn fritter. Sausage was very yum, but pancakes were a bit dry, and not as fluffy as I am used to. My partner got a sweet pancake choice with a bunch of fruit on top he enjoyed though. So some fruit and whipped cream can make any better.

Recovery pancakes. Too rich. Too much granola .

Pro-tip: avoid the gimmicky specialty pancakes and you should be fine. Remember, sometimes Less is more . Ordered a specialty 'sweet pancake.' I stick to my rule of never ordering pancakes with chocolate or Nutella, so I ordered the Recovery pancakes. Recovery pancake is a combination of natures granola snacks, banana and pancake rolled into one. Served with two pancakes, for the price , I was expecting at least three. But that wasn't the issue. The issue was the granola almond and apricot bits were too overpowering, I found my self scraping it off, hoping I can maybe just taste the plain buttermilk pancakes dressed up. However, even the pancakes wrapped around an internal banana, so there was no escaping the sweetened dish. It wasn't bad, but it was too top-heavy for my liking. Its always a good idea to Judge a pizza on plain cheese , just like it's proper to judge a pancake on plain buttermilk

We had a good time at WTPA. My Dutch Baby was especially good (cheddar, goats cheese, parmesan crisps, roasted thyme & rosemary. Rocket, kale, red onion & fennel salad, lemon & olive oil dressing). Much lighter and fluffier than I had anticipated. Pair it with an almond-maple old fashioned, and you've really got something.

Ding! You have absolutely arrived 'where the pancakes are'! And dare I say the best pancakes I had during my visit to London! I stopped here during a weekday for breakfast and was extremely satisfied with my experience from the service to the food! Due to it being a weekday, I was greeted with a friendly face and sat immediately (no wait) by the window that opened up to their patio. On a late summer morning this seat was perfect. Though, it is extremely modern yet quaint inside so on a fall/winter day you wont be disappointed in their main dining area. At this location they also had a spacious upstairs with additional seating. The service I received was awesome! I was solo traveling, and enjoying my slow morning and the waiter was attentive, but gave me enough space to sip my coffee, take in the morning, and just enjoy my meal without being overbearing. The best part of course was the pancakes! While the savory pancakes were tempting, I landed on a sweet option. I absolutely loved the, 'Banana Marshmallow' pancakes. A nice, fluffy, and moist pancake, topped with the freshest bananas, whipped marshmallow cream drizzled in sea salted caramel sauce and garnished with honeycomb. Is your mouth watering? Because mine is as I think back on how amazing the pancake was. Though the pancake was clearly the highlight, I also paired it with sausage, fried egg, and the tastiest ice latte! I highly highly recommend, Where The Pancakes Are!

This place was adorable! We came here in May while on vacation and the breakfast was delicious. I had an amazing dirty chia latte and it was great, a little sweet and spicy. The breakfast was pretty big and reasonably priced. The location was cute and tucked in, it wasn't too busy on the day we went. They had outdoor seating which was great for the nice day we went.

So, if you're wondering where the pancakes are, let me tell you - they're here. And they're "flippin'" fantastic. This gem nestled in the heart of London is a pancake paradise for the syrup-soaked and the chocolate-drizzled. Since we are not coffee drinkers, we started off with the hot chocolate. It is so good. It's the kind of hot chocolate that's not just hot, but that warms your soul. It's as if someone captured the essence of a cosy winter's evening by the fire, mixed it with rich Belgian chocolate, and served it to you in a cup. It was a cool morning in London and we were dining outside. This is just what we needed. Now, let's flip to the star of the show - the pancakes. A multitude of flavours and styles, each one a fluffy, puffy cloud of pancake perfection. From the traditional Buttermilk stack to the adventurous Dutch Baby, the menu has numerous options from sweet to savory. Whether you're a sweet tooth seeking sanctuary in the Sugared Apple crumble pancake or a savory connoisseur relishing the Smoked Salmon Royale, there's a pancake for every palate, every mood, every dream you've ever had about pancakes (and let's face it, who hasn't dreamt about pancakes?). The location is also a lot of fun. It is tucked away in the hip and happening enclave of Flat Iron Square, 'Where the Pancakes Are' stands out as a haven of pancake pleasure. It's a place where the bustle of London life is swapped for the soft sizzle of batter on the griddle and the murmur of contented pancake munchers. It's cool, it's quirky, and it's got that quintessential London vibe - a perfect setting for a perfect pancake party. This isn't just a restaurant, it's an experience, a celebration of everything pancake. Come for the hot chocolate, stay for the pancakes, and leave with a smile and a satisfied belly. Because 'Where the Pancakes Are' is not just a place, it's a state of mind. And let me tell you, it's a delicious one. Regenerate response

Cool little spot under the bridge in the Waterloo area. We wanted breakfast at 1 in the afternoon and this is what we found. We were sat quickly but took about 15 minutes to take our order (honestly it was fine cause we needed a couple minutes to review the menu). Once we ordered, food was received in less then 10 mins! We had the royals with bacon. Egg was very good, not runny, bacon was yummy but a bit too salty and pancakes were a bit pasty but still yummy. We had to order a syrup though for an extra 2.50. Never heard of that before! Wasn't terribly pricey. And they have mimosas! Overall, good spot.

The vegetarian English breakfast was delicious, my favorite breakfast I've had in London by far. The service was also wonderful. Friendly and quick. Clean bathrooms. I wish I could bring this place home with me.

Best pancakes EVER! The thoughtfulness in presentation, the flavor is unmatched, plus add the cozy and fun environment. My children (14 & 10) loved every bit! Trying to add a 2nd trip back before we had back to California. Thank you for such great food plus the warm, friendly and great service. A family go to.

After a brief wait, while the host was having a heated conversation on the phone, I was seated. Everyone else had these little electronic things on their table, but I did not. I don't know if you could place your order through that or exactly what it did. I ordered a beer and the fish and chips from my waiter. My beer was brought out quickly. The fish and chips took a little bit, although the restaurant was not busy inside, but it was busy outside. It was one large piece of fish with fries and mushy peas. There was mayo and ketchup on the table and the fish came with a nice tartar sauce. It wasn't greasy, but the coating on the fish was not as good as some other places I've been. The fries were good. The mushy peas needed a little salt. Overall, the food was not bad, but not exceptional. The main reason I only give it three stars is the service. While someone did come by and bring the little electronic gadget to my table where you can summon your waiter, I pressed it three times and the only reason I got my waiter to come by to bring me my bill was that I launched out into the aisle and stopped him when he was walking by. Someone else had brought me my food and my waiter never stopped by to make sure everything was OK. I really dislike when I see my waiter, what appears to be, standing around joking with his buds when I've been sitting with my meal complete, and my beer gone, and I don't have my bill.

As for the feast of the belly, I was completely underwhelmed. To start I ordered the steak tartar for £16. When it came out, I thought it was a complimentary amuse bouche, but alas it was the steak tartar. The portion size was minuscule, and hard to see any actual steak on the plate. For the main course we split the monk fish for two but the portions were again so small that it really was just one portion. Given how small the portions were, I asked what was on their cheese board and the waiter said "blue cheese". I said what else? And the responses was "that's it". What kind of cheese board has just one piece of cheese when they're charging almost £20! For pudding we ordered Bakewell tarts. The pastry was dense and flavorless and strangely gave you a whole scoop of clotted cream -- we wish this portion for this was less! The waiters never once asked how the food was, so I had to tell them at the end. They reduced the bill by £30 I can't really recommend this place and I won't be back. I think they trade on the fact that they're located in the globe theatre and so don't really need to work to retain customers.
